God Disclaimer
Hi all! So I got some concerns about using “God” in my skits and I want to clear the air.
First off, by “God” I mean the spiritual creative Universe, also known as “Spirit” or “Dao” or “Nature” in Daoism and Buddhism.
I use the terminology of “God” because that’s the term most recognized by the Western world, which encompasses the majority of my audience.
In my studies of Eastern and Western Religions alike, I’ve recognized that the “great creative Universe” is essentially the core of every one.
So saying you can’t call the “great creative Universe” “God” or “Dao” is like saying you can drink 水 but not “water”.
Note: 水 is Chinese for “water”
In Eastern religions especially, the Sages all empathize the importance of fun.
So these skits with “God” are meant for that. Some fun and comedy in times of darkness. And obviously with the nature of these skits, “God” doesn’t refer to a specific deity of any specific religion.
From the bottom of my heart I mean no disrespect to any religion or philosophy, and if my content has ever offended you, I am truly sorry.
I hope regardless I am able to spread just a little spark of joy in your lives.

Canon Kyoshi: A shy and awkward girl who had to learn the violent and harsh realities of the world in order to effectively guide it

In the first few Chapters, Yes. She reminded me of an Bear, she only got angry when mentioning her parents and her friends being attacked. But she got more violent and risky as the story continues. Gladly she did not go the assassins route.
Canon Kiyoshi: peaceful but can still kick your ass

I don’t think canon kyoshi was that peaceful. She said it herself that she needed to be less confrontational. Plus she’s always threatening people
@@jasonpower6578 true but in the Shadow of Kyoshi she realizes that murdering and threatening people isn’t always the best thing to do so she calms down a bit 😅
Also Canon Kiyoshi: obsesses for half the first book about killing a guy.
@@idk_sis and then by the end of the book sends her assassination mentor to the fire lord and let’s him know that she’s done being a diplomat and will wreck his shit if he steps out of line.
Canon Kyoshi is unhinged as fuck. Spoilers but she literally kidnaps two prominent members of Fire Nation high society, threatens to kill them, turns out to be wrong about the thing that made her want to do that, and proceeds to threaten to Fire Lord. And when her girlfriend finds about this midway through and reasonably asks if she’s lost her mind, Kyoshi earthbends her into the ground and leaves.
I love how the origin of the Kyoshi warriors is basically that Kyoshi basically decided to teach a few women’s self-defense classes and wound up accidentally founding a warrior cult.

Well, Canon Kyoshi from the books is only for a few years at the start of her TWO CENTURY LIFE as the Avatar. Pretty sure she had plenty of time for Rangi to whip her into the unstoppable engine of ass-kicking that is Fandom Kyoshi.

I hope we get more canon Kyoshi stuff, even if she's not FANDOM Kyshosi, just so you'll get more material to work with. Your Kyoshi is just so much fun!
