The Chinese steels were developed to be analogs to better known steels. Examples are: 5cr15mov - German 4116, 8cr13/14mov - Japanase AUS 8A, 9cr18mov - 440c, 10cr15comov - Japanese VG 10. They are all very close especially the 10cr. Just like 20cv/204P/M390 or K110 and D2.
