Mr. 5:00 guy, your supposed to go back fast and brake so it creates momentum and the boat slides from the bunks. You need to unhook the front winch and have a rope tied to the boat and a loop on the winch area with 5-10 ft. of slack.

When everything starts going wrong that early in the day, you need to just pull the boat back out and go home. The last thing they want to to is go out to open water. Lol
Hey Alfredo, a couple of observations...you're right about proper trailer adjustment, before they get to the ramp..lol. I did notice a tri-axle trailer and I don't think that boat warrants it. If the trailer is too long and the boat's bow is stuck up against a very forward winch stanchion (as it appears to be in this case) good luck getting it off. Also, can you make a suggestion to the ramp authorities to cut grooves into the concrete of those ramps? How slippery are they? I saw a 3500 Diesel pickup having issues pulling a 24 footer out, at low tide! I'm afraid of pulling my 29ner out with my 1500 gasser, as I do at other local ramps. When I'm not boating or working on the boat, my wife and I visit various boat ramps, just for the "Chit Show!!!", we have a great time. 🚤
The ramps at Black Point are public ramps and when the ramps and docks were made, it went to the lowest bidder who in turn used Poured Concrete for the ramps and the docks themselves. Really bad from a boating stand point. No cleats are used on the Docks, but sawed-off telephone poles to secure the lines. :(
You should soak down the Runners on the trailer with a hose before he gets on the road to allow them to become slippery. Then loosen up the winch cable about a foot then reverse down the ramp and touch the brakes. Then put the trailer in the water and it should come off a lot easier after disconnecting the winch cable of course
Who in the heck winches their boat up, just drive it up right to the bumper stop reach down hook your cable into the eye about three turns cinches it down. Jump down get in the truck and pulled the boat out, I was doing this shit at 14 years old, Trained my wife to back the trailer in straight I would drive it up latch it down and she would drive The boat out of the water. A lot of people like watching boat ramp bumper boats, you can spot the ones that are getting nervous approaching the docks. Maneuvering a boat is just a skill just like driving a car you get better with practice, to these people with more boat than brains seek out someone to train you.
@@micknielsen7102 I personally like winching boats on. Other guys like to power on but thats not my cup of tea. But it doesn't take much extra time. I prefer to dock against the current (current or wind pushing you away from the dock) Then when you goto put the boat on the trailer you just toss the stern line over a dock post, grab the bow line and walk up to the trailer and pull the boat on using the stern line to get the back of the boat lined up horizontally when coming forward. Once you hit the bunks you just hook the winch and 30 seconds later you are ready to drive off to the wash station. I learned on pontoon crank up trailers before they had load guides where if you drove on you either scraped the pontoons if you had the trailer partly up or the boat would float off the trailer before you were able to crank it up.
about 20 years ago I ended up at the dock before my passengers, was low tide and it didnt want to float off, so I tied the boat to the dock and backed up and tapped the brakes , the boat kept going , ripped a 10 inch steel Deck cleat off the dock and then I had the longest swim of my life and the life jackets were all in the Boat, , Now I think a better idea for this problem is to carry a larger drop receiver and swap it in the parking lot to lower the front of the boat.......
When the hooking eye goes forward past the top bow roller and the back of the boat lifts when floated you have to lift the eye over the roller with all the weight on the bow. When he pulled forward it relieved some of that pressure.
The Coast Guard has an auxiliary division that rides in a civilian boat. At least that's what they do here out of Manasquan inlet NJ. They perform safety checks on the water and they used to stop by marinas and yatch clubs and do checks there as well.

This ensures the engine(s) start, the tilt/ trim work well, have enough PFD's and other safety equipment. Eliminates mistakes.
His starboard outboard likely wouldn't tilt down because there is a small 4-5" steel arm that swings up to lock the engine for trailering, to take the load off the trim system. Raise engine slightly, flip lever down, lower engine, back off trailer. The private boat with Coasties was a Coast Guard Auxiliary boat that happened to have a couple of Active Duty Coasties aboard - unusual, but it happens. The white ensign with orange CG racing stripe is a CG Aux Patrol Ensign. The Aux boat is also required to have larger sideboards with the CG stripe and "Coast Guard Auxiliary" on them, which they did not have. The Aux gets their underway orders from the local CGSTA, but uses their own boats. The Aux is reimbursed for fuel, a small maintenance allowance, and meals if under orders during meal periods. The CG Aux is totally volunteer, but must rig their boats with specialized gear for towing and SAR (Search and Rescue) missions at their own expense - and buy uniforms at their own expense.

HE SHOULD SELL THE BOAT AND TAKE UP BOWLING! HE NEEDS AN “E Z LOADER” TRAILER WITH ROLLERS, YOU DRIVE OFF AND DRIVE ON IT. HE DIDN’T WANT TO SPEND A FEW MORE DOLLARS FOR A BETTER TRAILER. HIS “FLOAT ON” TRAILER NEEDS TO BE SUBMERGED TO LAUNCH AND RETRIEVE. I STILL THINK HE NEEDS TO TAKE UP BOWLING.
I'm not sure about down there Miami but I'm sure it's the same thing as up here in Daytona Beach. The Coast Guard seized boats and do use them for their version of the citizens Patrol on the water
Tie the rear cleat to dock while truck is on dry land. Unhook all straps and bow cable. Move truck slightly up with tender on bow rope. Gently pull up truck til bow floats. Pull back on Bow rope and tie to dock. Happy day!
That was the Auxiliary (civilians who aren’t paid, carry no weapons, and have no arrest powers). Not the real US Coast Guard, which is one of the US military branches.
You just waisted 23min of my life bro. As you were hoping for that car sink into the water I was hoping for you to slip up and your camera to go "bloop bloop bloop"

Amazing the blue boat with the nice paint has more power then 70 yacht if you seen how much it coast to run one hour it turns you gut but man its awsome that hour ride
You asked what I would have done. I would have a winch on the trailer post, run the cable to a snatch block under the stern of the trailer and back to the bow before I reversed the trailer into the water then winched the boat afloat - the same techniques as used by road wrecker Role-alls to remove wreckage from the tilting beds. I would also have a short scaffold bar with a tow-ball at one end and a coupling with ears at the other end and fit it between the car and trailer so the car does not go so close to the end of the slipway. (The ears on one end of the tow-bar extension would stop the trailer from pivoting at two different points). The extension would only be used at the marinas not for road use.

I can't believe I watched it for 23 minutes. Thought something was gonna happen. Can't say you falsely advertised as it was a true shit show but damn. You were hurting for videos to upload that day weren't you. Ever think of offering little advice. I imagine you were born with the knowledge. Got to start somewhere. Atleast he isn't filming some poor guy crossing his fingers that he loses his car and posting it online. Ill have a beer with the inexperienced boat launcher over you any day
✊
I don't even own a boat but look forward to watching these videos.
Thanks.
Sloppy boaters down there. Engines always trimmed up too high, ladders dragging in the water
On the video you posted about the guy who tried to put his boat in the water, clearly show the importance to require boating training before you can buy a new boat for the first time. It must be mandatory.
Can you imagine what it's going to be when they try to load the boat back up???
We won't have to worry about that. It's parked on a reef as we speak
I'm not coastie but I have volunteered, that was the coast guard auxiliary. Civilians with training helping the coast guard with calls. They use Civilian boats for that. @alfred
Dude, lower the outboards and put it in reverse!! Just don't expect to get it back on trailer without a whole lot of power!!
I don't think we have to worry about this guy ever attempting to put it back on the trailer without renting a crane
lower the outboards and put it in reverse
Best way to suck the wife's car into the drink
@@jazldazl9193 That's for sure !
What was the reason the boat was hooked up?
Don’t understand why didn’t just back it off with the motor
rollers on the trailer
With that size boat they are a must!
I'm not sure about down there Miami but I'm sure it's the same thing as up here in Daytona Beach. The Coast Guard seized boats and do use them for their version of the citizens Patrol on the water
Watching them isn't as painful as having to listen to you prattle on.
If you and I thought the same thing I wonder how many more viewers agreed with us? I feel these vids would be 110% better if he was muted.
You guys don't have to watch these videos hahaha morons
You can turn the sound off you know?
And yet here you are...
Tie the rear cleat to dock while truck is on dry land.
Unhook all straps and bow cable.
Move truck slightly up with tender on bow rope.
Gently pull up truck til bow floats.
Pull back on Bow rope and tie to dock.
Happy day!
Hey Alfred, you ever see tourists walk around the dock and fall in , not paying attention ? Happens up here in AK in Homer and Seward all the time 😂
😂😂😂
The spare tire was gripping the boat. Lmao
Coast Guard was undercover,lol
That was the Auxiliary (civilians who aren’t paid, carry no weapons, and have no arrest powers). Not the real US Coast Guard, which is one of the US military branches.
That was good. I see a lot of people in these videos that should have 14 ft aluminum boats like most cottages in Canada have for kids to learn on
They backed in too far. The stern was floating too high and hung the bow eye on the trailer.
Next time he'll call you
My opinion is the bow eye was stuck on the wrong side of the winch. Cause is an improperly adjusted front roller or bow stop.
I am guessing these guys just bought the boat and this is the first time trying to launch it, and they are clueless.
Rock n Roll Trailers from opa-locka built an awesome trailer for me. My boat sit's low and real easy off and on.
You just waisted 23min of my life bro. As you were hoping for that car sink into the water I was hoping for you to slip up and your camera to go "bloop bloop bloop"
Thank you i needed that laugh
Finally, a f ing review I can get behind!! You took the words right out of my mouth brother. I owe you a beer!
When he gets home his wife will ask how far did you go out fishing this time. Answer almost 10 feet, saved a lot of fuel this time
If only someone with 23 years experience, who knew what was coming could’ve warned them and maybe helped them out instead of filming. If only. Society sucks. Selfishness is ugly. I couldn’t even finish the video because the talking was annoying me.
Totally agree with you, Manny! I turned the volume down. He annoyed me so bad. How many times he said bloop, bloop, bloop and wait for it ...uugghh
Coast Guard Auxiliary Alfred. Civilians in their own boat.
I cant wait to see him put it back on
Back down, walk the stern line out a few pilons, take a couple wraps around the pilon and drive out slowly.
I want to see the kayak disaster you mentioned!😮😂
lol i leaned the hard way with those ramps , tried getting some water for my bait bucket and slid right into the water and couldn't get up lol
