Hello. Those aluminum cvds are the terrible. I broke mine in less than 3 battery packs. Also, I have been using those aluminum diff cups with the swing-shafts for a long time now without issues.
Thanks for your comment! As we know, "Aluminum" is not a strong material but the price is low so... The genuine option part from Tamiya is better but higher price. That is my opinion.
Follow up: just destroyed one of the aluminum diff cups running the car on gravel. I’m going to try and modify the steel diff cups for the swing shaft caps like you did. Thanks for the video
