The disconnection problems that started after I updated to 24hH2 and happen in every single game mid match make the game unplayable for me and I wait for over a week now for a patch. It is a known problem for weeks now and still no fix.
@@GamerWelfare i believe they will fix next update but is scary they havent even adress it yet
@Pridesin5 I hope they fix it next update but this situation is unreal. We are not talking about a small bug, this makes the online unplayable and no fix for weeks now, that is unacceptable.
Same with me
Bandai cashed out damn
Damn have not had a DC yet. That sucks ass
Online sucks, moves break, lock on is inconsistent and rage quitting is frequent
I don't play it online personally but my brother has 5 quit on him last night
I lost 4 matches online one after one repetitively i quit the lobby and im never playing the game online again unless they release a mission 100 sparking zero edition like tenkaichi 3 had
Too be honest, all I asked for was a cool db game where I can play as my favorite characters. What can I say? I'm a simple person
nothing wrong with that at all, its just that you are in the minority where as the majority arent having much fun and are turning away from the game
Same here 😂😂😂
If you don’t play online then yeah it’s great. The ragequit issue is a massive problem
You paid so much money just for an unbalanced dead game with so little offline gameplay
They should’ve trimmed the roster to 30-40 added co op and other elements. Just makes no sense just 1 v1 only mode . Should’ve added some xenoverse elements instead of letting us create story’s and all that bull crap
I'm gonna be honest, fhey should do it like they do in dbl. If you leave a match, the other person gets points, you lose some, and there's a penalty time period to be able to play online that increases if you keep doing it.
Nah they should ban you for a day
It sounds like a good idea but then people will just stop playing altogether still because people h8 being punished.
@Allimusion Why? I understand people who are prone to crashing might, but I don't see why they would?
@@RegnorakOG I play Destiny and R6 which are totally different from Sparking Zero but one thing is the same. Punishing players from playing the main playlist will result in people closing the game even if it’s for a limited time. It happens in any game with a ranked mode honestly. If the goal is to keep people playing banning is never the answer even if it’s a timeout.
@@Allimusionboohoo don’t rage quit
I dislike how they hyped up customization but didn’t give some of the easiest costumes from the anime/ movies like it is a layup they didn’t even add anything original like some of the older games
Agreed. Videl in Dragonball Xenoverse 2 has more Outfits than Sparking Zero Videl as well as Android 18 etc.
You know the “variants” that have almost minimal changes in the costume? I didn’t care how, I just wanted little gohan to have his white headband. Goku and his bomber jacket would’ve been dope, and how the hell does vegeta not have the badman shirt?! 😂
Give the game time. They plan to drop large updates coming.
@@VGGamessHow does Trunks not have the Bojack fit too? We been asking for that for how long?? Tien’s buu saga clothes would be dope, or Ultimate Gohan’s Kai gear, Yamcha’s gold suit that I always used in Budokai 3, Gogeta 4’s tan color with white hair, Bojack Gohan’s orange gi ( which was datamined), the list goes on. We’ll have to see in time but for a game this big, hopefully we do see it sometime soon
@@Fightheavens there is no evidence towards this besides the season pass dlc we haven’t gotten yet. which probably still wont fix these issues with the lack of customization. probably wont see any of that until mid to late next year .
The main problem is the lack of content theres not much to do and thats it ...

For the 2 people above. There is a game call Tenkaichi Tag Team which use the same fighting styles and even movement(character model too) as Budokai tenkaichi so they could implement it into the game
as someone who hasn't touched ranked once and sticks to single battles/tournaments, i will say there is a HUGE problem with people just sitting in lobbies or joining and leaving repeatedly. speaking from a Xbox perspective
I have this same problem on PS5, only way to find matches is ranked
A lot of people don't talk about how flawed the overall gameplay is
At lower skill matches you won't notice it, but the second you start playing against really good people the whole game turns into a super counter mess.
Zero combos/strings, you land a single hit? Super counter or vanish offs. It's just not fun.
Seriously, not to mention how inconsistent the game in general is there are games where you will super counter all game and there game where you’re just combos good and get hit by everything and let’s not add anyone else connection. Making an input based game with input delay isn’t a great idea.. who would’ve thought.
You lose dopamine even winning
You must never played player match cuz you go in there and some of those guys D an C ranks and will whoop the shi out of her ass S rank i seen it when are yall going to understand rank don't matter it's about your skill
Yup. A week in and I realized that was all this game was. I haven't touched it since.
That’s how XV was too. It all comes down to vanishing.
Ever since this game was announced I knew that the online wouldn't last long, in my opinion, Tenkaichi will still be Tenakichi and is going to be carried by offline and modding.
But this game does offline mid. It hae custom battle, its cool. But then split screen is an afterthought. Only have one map as it of now. We don't know if we will have new maps from a dlc or free update. But this game is 70$
Problem is they are banning mods. Clearly they don't understand gamers
@@RobertCosper because they show what bandai had lacked during the development days.
@@edogawaconan945I agree with everything you said, especially with the lack of maps in local MP, aside from Off-line being mid, it's just the usual for BT games, coming from someone who spent a decade playing TTT/BT3.
Story mode, Duel mode -the only one that matters to me- tournaments and custom battles were basically all I expected from this, since it is a Tenkaichi (there really isn't anything else to do in these games aside from throwing hands). However, it would be really cool if they implemented Battle 100 and BT2s gauntlets in the future, especially if we can unlock new costumes and moves by beating them.
@@RobertCosperQuite sure that's only for Custom Battle, it's an online mode in the end of the day and, giving how those thumbnails work, potential nudity mods were definitely the main reason behind their reasoning.
If it was "meant to be played offline", local multiplayer wouldn't feel like an afterthought added to the game. Why is it that can we only play in hyperbolic time chamber?
Room of Spirit and Time. Funimation is dead and their shite dub died with them. 💀💀
Because of the Xbox Series S not being able to handle any other maps
@@dangerousdays2052 Weirdo.
@@dangerousdays2052 not the fucking point dude
I dunno about it being 'meant to be played off or online'. I think it was meant for both options but the ball was dropped on both ends.
One thing Fifa does right is online matches when someone quits, it’s an auto win for the person who stays
The fact that the devs didn't think of a simple "forfeit" button instead of the possibility to just rage quit without any influence on your rank is baffling to me.
This should be a basic feature in an online competitive mode.
they would still ragequit, its about the ranking points not the act of getting out of the game
@yep agreed that was what I meant by without any influence on your rank
Doesn't help the emphasis that "it's not a real fighting game" 😂 opinion
Once again I don't think you people understand it's not a competitive game but a party game. If you want competitive go play fighterz
I don’t think any fighting game has this..
Im on the PS5. I play a couple times a week and have never had an issue finding a match. Most times are under 2 minutes. Now that I'm getting better, I have noticed some rage quitting, which honestly made me stop my session early the other night. I wouldn't mind so much if I got my points for winning, but having a match where I'm playing really well only to have my victory and reward stolen is frustrating.
A rage quit should be a loss for the quitter and a win for the other player. Problem would be instantly solved.
im on the ps5 and it takes forever to find matches?? like wtf why does it take so long
@@dontmindmejustyourlocalret3029 it might be something about your match settings like how good of a connection you want or something like that or if you have a bad connection that could be why cause most people have it set to find people with good connection sense no one wants to deal with lag cause of the other persons bad internet not saying its definitely those things just that there possible reasons

@@Novanity_Breezy Yeah. The anger that instilled in my normally super-chill self was unbelievable. I genuinely hope the developers who designed and QA'd that get demoted.
I’m fine with them being challenging. If they were too easy there’d be no fun. I just wish the ways to unlock them weren’t so cheap.
I'll never understand why you can't play bonus/custom battles with other ppl and no crossplay is crazy on a 2024 release. Also where is 2v2's and 3v3's
No crossplay is probably going to kill the game for Xbox tbh. At least let PC and Xbox players play together so the Xbox crew can actually find matches. Playstation does fine with anime games either way typically and I can always find a match, but I know the Xbox guys struggle every anime game release
This game was designated for online play it wasn't until a lot of fans were asking about local multiplayer that they added multiple multiplayer and it's the hyperbolic time chamber showing that local multiplayer was never the focus. So I understand people's reasons for not liking the game online when the expectations were high based on how they talked about the game.
But a lot of people who do talk or majority of the voices are people who are wine and complain about the game You need to get better at the game if you want to completely have fun and understand it. You have to put practice into it.
But for hating the game for its rage quitting ,its bad internet connection and servers, lack of stages and lack of content that's complete fair and should be criticized in a respectful way.
Dude, bad internet connection falls on the player, not the game. Internet connection is beholden on the people using it, not the game server.
@sonicgen20 That's half true. I had some so so matches when the game first came out when it came to internet connection and then for a long time it was really great and then with the latest patch they've had in the last week or two there's been lag all over the place even when both I and the player have a green connection ( steam users can see the connection quality in the bottom of my corner)
@sonicgen20 If the game had rollback I wouldn't even comment on the internet unless it was a crazy mess like fighterz lol
They need to remodel the whole game and make it like tenkaichi 3 movesets of characters like tenkaichi 3 and add mission 100 that's all they need to add
Im a veteran BT3 player and playing this online just felt abyssmal its NOTHING like tenkaichi 3 way harder controls i just mashed my ps5 controller's buttons repetitively then i still lost 4 times against a fucking baby vegeta player i even picked the best characters in the game 😔
I’ll admit that I stopped playing…. There’s just nothing interesting to do anymore besides online play and even then it’s just everyone using UI and Fusions
I hope you don't see this as a game issue. because it's more of a community issue than the game itself
@@zion6287the game itself is poorly designed and nothing was actually tested
@@zion6287Too bad its like that. The community is nothing but a big fusion circle jerk. You cant believe ho much money they got when they made ultra fusion units in DBL. Fusion brainrot

I agree with you, this game is fucking boring man, I've done everything and I hate the fact that we don't have cross platform and literally 0 content. Boring as fuck man
In DBFZ I had a situation where I was about to rank-up and the person rage-quit on me.
I don’t know what happened but I still ended up somehow getting the BP experience points to reach the next level. I was relieved knowing I still got the points even though the other person left the match (because it was very down to the wire and I just clutched a last-hit wins victory).
My belief is that if you rage-quit you should lose points automatically and those points are added to your opponents.
Disincentivizing players to rage-quit and rewarding those who didn’t.
Honestly I’ve had a bunch of fun with the game. I think it’s player base is down because only really big dragonball fans care to play a dragonball game for more than a month and they have moved on to some other game to play. If you grew up with this series, the game is slammin my dude, I only wish they used overworlds for the levels like previous entries, and I only hope they add more episodes and what ifs. In the ranked department, I am on Xbox, and have had very few of the rage quit issues or DP battle issues others have had, I only play DP and it’s quite obvious that someone is gonna quit when they load in as broly or vegito or MUI Goku. Also the online community thing is not really how games make money, it in fact is a cost to keep that type of thing running for 100000 people all the time. It’s quite possible they anticipated a smaller online community and want a smaller one. Like it’s a purposefully unbalanced nostalgia trip, and it’s a fighting game. It’s super duper niche. The games not amazing but it’s exactly what I was expecting aside from the single player being a menu, which comes off as a cut content kind of thing, but even that menu is very pretty and does a good job of displaying the levels and what ifs in a clear and concise manner, so it could be worse.. Honestly they just need to give the win to the person who doesn’t quit the game and call it a day. The babies don’t lose points and the adults get their points.
Said a whole bunch of nothing lmao foh
This game has trash combat dawg what are yall even saying anymore lmao that’s the reason people are leaving cause this game rewards cheesing and mashing buttons that get you out of what should ideally be a combo. Literally three things in this game that just instantly break combos who tf puts that in a fighting a game.
Changing my settings for Dragon Ball Z when I get my account unsuspended in seven days so no one can message me that I’m not friends with the amount of shit talking people do in this game and the amount of harassing people do in this game is really really out there
Online does matter because we can address issues with the game now rather than waiting for the next game to come out
As someone who is thoroughly enjoying this game, I agree with everything you said. Several things need to happen.
1. Crossplay would be top of my priority list. Join the player pools between pc and consoles, less wait time, more people to play with
2. We need a Quickplay queue. There is no reason to restrict everyone to room based matchmaking if they dont want to play ranked. Even the sweats need a break, and may just want to play without having to worry about losing points.
3. On the topic of ranked, there needs to be a leave penalty, period. If you disconnect you forfeit. Or at least, put a time penalty on the player who keeps disconnecting. "Youve disconnected from too many matches, you can not play for 30 minutes" etc etc. Something to discourage disconnecting.
Again, I love this game but hate the state its in, and am genuinely dumbfounded that all of these features weren't included on release.
Honestly? Meta & rage quitting are the biggest issues this game has, and the Meta is annoying to a point where I’m NOT saying it should be nerfed, but I would like an option to see it less. Plus, there’s no real penalty for rage quitting, they just wait longer, but that’s it, no suspension or a serious penalty of any kind, and I hate that. As an experiment, as well as a massive lack of my own skill back in the D Rank, I’ve DC’d numerous times and to nobody’s surprised, there’s no actual punishment for it when there obviously should be. If anything, the “long wait time” for Ranked if you rage quit constantly actually goes away after doing it 20 times in a day, but it will actually unironically get longer if you stop, and I don’t know whether to laugh or be annoyed by this inconsistent yet ineffective “punishment.” There are many things I desperately wish this game has, but I’m at a point where I play this game with a select group of people of mine, and it’s fun that way, Ranked stopped being engaging for me once I reached high A Rank due to seeing the same characters over & over & over & over again. To anyone that likes Sparking Zero: I do too, I’m glad to see people still wanting to at least enjoy their purchase, I am as well, one of the best I’ve ever made in my gaming life, there’s a lot I wish for this game to be better than it currently is, I have realistic expectations, and I just hope a patch can address the many things we all take issue with, even if it’s just the important things. Everyone, have fun with your friends in the meantime, stay off Ranked if you value your sanity, ignore those who don’t wish to understand your points about this game and would rather mock you for your experience, just enjoy the game you bought with those who wanna do the same. Ggs ya’ll, let’s pray for a better future for this game.
Don't tell perfection this! You'll give him a reason to do victory laps while giving himself a pat on the back
Some of y'all just play the game way too much and burnt yourselves out in the process. I haven't even completed all of the story modes. It's about pacing.
I pace the game out and it's getting boring Im thinking about deleting it and downloading Warhammer
@ygdon3077 yeah that's why I take my breaks and switch games
I think some people prefer playing offline, but the problem is the CPU even on Super is too easy. I think Bandai needs to fix CPU behaviour and make them more challenging. They cant even vanish more than twice.
@dylanhagsauce8629 ditto
@dylanhagsauce8629do people not know that the game was literally meant for offline and to play with your friends and family like this how I know all the ones complaining saying nonsense about how it fell off didn’t play a single budokai in the past this game isn’t for online for real it’s a game you play to enjoy and have fun on 🤦♂️
@@ju_get_busy9140 on god
1. Enemy AI is extremely predictable and thus boring to fight.
2. The bulk of online is filled with cheesers who abuse the neglectfully unbalanced combat mechanics.
4. The highest level of play is a z-counter spamfest and real fights are impossible to have if you want to win. The moment I saw the z-counter mechanic's only contraint being player skill, I knew this would be the case.
5. Counters are incredibly unbalanced and the entire combo and counter systems may require complete reworks to change the skill ceiling from z-counter spamming into an environment where players are incentivized to healthily engage in ALL combat mechanics. Ki management is already bloated due to the number of mechanics that interact with Ki and skill bars are designed around mechanics that take a longer time to build up and are intended to be used infrequently, so a simple "just make counters use skill bars or ki" won't fix it. I presume we will see different contraints and maybe different mechanics for existing counter types once the loopholes player dynamics exploit are fixed or at least made tolerable by the majority of players.
Over a period of days I lost at least 100 fights in a row, never won a single one, then when I was finally close to winning… they rage quit 🤦♂️
I feel your pain. The higher ranks are even more prolific rage quitters!
13:40 again the way the combat works is literally the gameplay and game. Being online or offline is a non issue. That is not a measurement of ‘how good’ the game is.
Video is nice but people rage quitting is not the main issue. You can’t even finish a DP battle without time running out and people constantly swap out to heal their players. It’s not fun if you can’t finish the fight. I’m surprised you didn’t mention this as a main problem. While there is also 180 characters, only a fraction are played because their moves are just much better. Why use a blast for 4 bars when characters have the same power for 2? Why use regular beams when you can just use unblockables? Players like broly can’t be staggered, will pick world tournament and spam full power buffs and unblockable ultimates. Rage quitting a legitimate fight is poor sportsmanship. Rage quitting against a gogeta or broly that has used 4 unblockable ults doing 25k damage is another. I don’t blame people who do that at all. The timing and button inputs often don’t register with me having to press 3-6 times to do something as simple as transforming. There is far more issues than rage quitting. And also B tier does lose points it’s only C and D that don’t.
I’m tired of going into training for 20+ minutes practicing my counters and getting my timing down then I go online and that shit is all out the window. I know I’m pressing the buttons at the right time to dodge and teleport or super counter but that shit doesn’t fucking work
one thing is you cannot play "with your friends" only against them which is disappointing
It’s a fighting game….did you expect a mmorpg?
@RealAnimeBadGuy could had 2v2 battles
@torhugomartins2250Dbz Battle of Z on the Ps3 has Coop Missions as well as Xenoverse 2.
Should had a mode for tenkaichi tag team on psp
Ima just say this bout the current state of Sparking Zero. Keep the strength of characters the same but please balance these game mechanics, delete or nerf crazy OP skills like after image strike or just make it to where its 5 or 10 seconds not 15, thats way too long. Nerf ki blast sparking spam, I'd also be down for getting rid of all insta sparking skills, just charge up normally. Just make the game balanced while keeping strong characters strong to keep with the DB power scaling, its not that hard. The game needs balancing, not the characters themselves but the mechanics and skills. Also make these rage quitters suffer for rage quitting. Just make ranked fun and the game will last. If it continues the way it is, the game will suffer and fans have pointed this out already. We all LOVE sparking zero, but it needs some work!!! Im hoping we get some big changes in December cause we need em.
Don't play online AGAINST STRANGERS. Only play online against your friends for fun or offline against CPU.
This is how the game is meant to be played.
Them focusing primarily on online content and providing bare bones amounts of offline content is whats doing the most damage imo. People always talk down on XV, but there was loads of content to do, and that’s one of the reasons that game has lasted almost 10 years. Even the older Tenkaichi games had a good chunk of extra modes you could try out. Right now there’s episode battles and custom battles, and online where every other match is meta cheese or rage quits. Just not enough to do tbh.
Bad example with a DLC ridden game like Xenoverse, but for BT, the game is only ever talked about or remembered for is the mods, amount of characters, and "pro" players. Although, more game modes than Tournament and Custom Battle would be an improvement
Gamers if i even call anyone that anymore, always want to complain about something, if u went and contacted them directly, with enough people, a simple problem can be fixed, its not quit worthy at all, if there is nothing wrong with the game other than online than thats a petty excuse to quit no matter how u look at it
And this is exactly what i said to my friends a month ago(which ofcourse they live on the other end of the world), i will not spend a hundred euros on a fighting game in 2024 were the playerbase will die in 3 weeks because the online is shit.
If i get the itch ill just go back to fighterz were the online is decent even though the playerbase is small but consistent.
For me, it's too hard to find a match. If I'm going to play games, I want to actually play. Not sit. And it's always been like that from the beginning, not because of this drop.
Second, it's the extremely unbalanced BS you encounter online. Everyone is playing the same 3 characters in singles and DP teams are dominated by afterimage strike cheese. When you finally do get into a match it's just not even fun because of these people. Honestly, I think the RQ problem wouldn't be near as bad if they did something about the extremely frustrating elements like these.
Yeah yeah, you can cry "get good" or "learn to adapt" but there isn't much of a point when beating these people still feels more like a chore than an award. I beat them all the time and still groan whenever they come up because it's irritating and monotonous.
Hell, I don't even care about rank. I'll play only player matches and be fine IF they allow us to customize matches more. I'd love to play some tournaments where the overplayed, overpowered characters aren't allowed. Imagine a bunch of matches with cool theme teams that aren't "the fusions plus UI". If it's my custom lobby let me actually tweak more than the very most basic elements.
This is why I can't stand it when people say that the game doesn't need patches because the problems are caused by the players. Exactly. It doesn't matter what game it is. If you allow extremely broken elements to exist people WILL exploit them to get wins. That's just the reality. It's why balance patches exist in the first place. If it was as simple as "get better" then updates like these wouldn't exist. You can't just trust the players to be cool.
I think the real problem is that we don't have base GT Vegeta with a mustache lol
When they announced no local multiplayer i knew this game was was going to disappoint it's not meant to be a competitive esport its a party game.
It makes me so happy the only coach I’ve ever had for a fighting game makes sparking zero vids. You are a great teacher and help a lot so I still prefer to watch your vids about games

@ that’s great to hear man. And yep it’s still the same 👍
I never really bothered with playing online. My main issue with the game is, in my opinion they really need to adjust the constant instant transmission. The Ai just doing that over and over get's really annoying especially for those missions when you have to beat your opponent fast. Fighting Goku black and zamasu were the worst for that.
And I swear the button input just doesn't respond sometimes
I only stopped playing because my controllers shoulder button made its way inside itself from mashing the block button!
I enjoy the game a lot except for the fact that I keep 'losing connection'. It's upsetting when I'm about to win and the game just disconnects even when my connection says it's stable. I don't even mind accepting a loss - it's just unfun not being able to see a match finish because of poor connection.
The thing I see most people avoiding to admit when talking about dropping player base, is the simple fact that this is not a "real" fighting game. It's a party fighter with serious balancing issues. I don't think this game was ever designed to be taken seriously as a balanced tournament fighter. Fighting games have a natural player drop off as the casuals leave for other games, but this one is getting hit harder because you also have dedicated fighting game fans leaving because the game doesn't have the depth or balance to allow for someone to dedicate time mastering it's mechanics.
IMO 1v1 battles need to have a HP and DMG balance pass so 90% of the roster isn't considered a troll pick.
I personally have rarely experienced rage quits and I’m S5. However I do agree that it is annoying to play the same spam characters and not enjoy the vast amount of different characters. However I will say your missing so much to enjoy within player match and even buying the anime music. I get your content creator and everyone wants to share there moments, but there is so much to enjoy outside of rank. Me and a few random people have enjoyed the game with the music background making the game enjoyable. To many of you want to feel important from a win, or create content instead of getting back to the soul of the game. Have fun. Player matches are lit. And again I’m S5 and all ranks have been open to me playing with them.
Been a dbz since childhood, 90s kid. Only game I play is pubg, however this game is awesome haha. Tried xenoverse 2 years ago but that game was nearly there, sparkling is the dbz game. Imagine in 1 year time with more updates, server fixes. Online tournaments. Game will require great skill to win, knowing every move. Being unpredictable. Awesome game. Problem is people are to easy to quit these days. Nothing wrong with saying I suck at this, I need to improve. Having a growth mindset is what dbz taught me, worked well in life.
It's a fighting/battle game. always F with people's egos. Who cares if it's a ranked match, I lost 100 games in a row when I started. Don't give a shi! Lol
You'll have basic characters beating the best characters or something, and it will be because of skill. Hurts the ego when that happens. Awesome haha.
I am assuming someone has created a brucefaulconer soundtrack mod? Anyone have a link?
I grew up on enjoying a game itself and not give a damn about online multiplayer BS. To hell with all that
the split screen is my biggest issue like only one stage, also the stage variety is lacking. hopefully dlc fixes all of this
I still love the game however I only play with my kids. I love it for that fact. Its a dream of a dragonball z game. For if it had every saiyans great ape like bt3 did. It would be perfect. I never expected it to be a long term competitive game like fighterz. I love it. It's every bit of the game I asked for
85% of the people that quit playing didn’t bother to learn the combat or counter mechanics, just sparking mode and ability spams, the other 10% stopped playing because some TH-camr told them it wasn’t fun anymore
Yea i’m not gonna lie i’ve been playing sparking for a while now and i love it but like you said the only problem is the online, if someone rage quits i rather still get my points or have a chance to get some points vs having to start up a whole new match and wait like 12 years just to get into another match, i hope Bandai addresses this problem lowkey
The other day I got so mad playing ranked I just turned it off and told myself I’m not playing until this bullshit is fixed.
Online is not the main issue. The main issue is the very very very poor story mode
Yeah, I’m like 2nd rank Hirudegarn player on PS5 and my god, it doesn’t matter what rank I come across, it’s constant quitting and constant Ki blast spam or unblockable spams. It’s got to the point to where I write people and thank them for not quitting. I got one Z rank player named Itzemma.. something but he quits on sight, ever single damn time.
I’ve been almost insta getting games so that’s no issue but like I’m A1 legit like 10 points off S1 and I’ve “won” the past 5 games just to get disconnected on last second cause I managed to counter their afterimage strike, completely unplayable. The fact that leaving isn’t an instant loss is genuinely embarrassing for the devs, how do you in any universe think to not put ANY penalty for leaving mid match
@@jasonr5288 it’s literally insane bro. I feel bad for you guys who wanted to actually grind and put in effort
If I had to take a guess
# 1 everyone wants to focus on: Rage Quit = Banned for life
My actual guesses that revolve around the game instead of that supremely focused logic: Story was ass (i love it, just wish it wasn't nodes like Raging Blast 2 and there were a few more what-ifs, or a few more characters to play with.... Sucks Vegeta doesn't have T.O.P story)
No other offline options besides the custom battles (which are fun but can get boring after awhile, I wish that mode Budokai Tenkaichi had returned, enter that room where 17 & 18 told you the many options and had that mini venture like mode next to the challenges)
It's not crossplay
Game has lots of characters but could've had a *FEW* more (Several more Giants like Begamo, Ribrean, Meta Cooler, etc.)
Too many unlockable ultimates and easy to cheese/spam mechanics (that isn't a problem to me but annoying how it's hard to properly counter another character, like Z Broly who has no right to he that OP, since it's supposed to be lore accurate and he's weaker than Buu)
And I'ma take a shot and assume people are also mad thatthe counter(s) are too OP.
Personally it feels more like a DBZ/Martial Arts thing, counter upon counter upon counter till someone's timing is off. Makes it more competitive and better than most games.
I wish They need to tweak it so it costs Ki, and the more times someone uses it, the more Ki it'll cost so the countering the counter doesn't last for too long. Might as well drop that controller like in FighterZ when stuck in that corner by thirsty assholes
Least in Sparking 0 I *KNOW* I have a chance, just messed up, and prepare by saving Ki to counter, and hard punish people who abuse Ki/Super/Sparking and wasted it, an actual *comeback*
If you wanna play story play kakarot. Why would they go deep into story for two different games at once
@@ThatFunnyPlacewell this was their chance to actually tell the DragonBall Super story through games, it's the first game that has Super characters as the main focus instead of Z.
@Pickled_Dil you do know they still update kakarot right ? Do you know how sick the tournament of power dlc is gonna be on kakarot ??? Have you even played kakarot ?!?!?! It's amazing. Highly recommend if you haven't played yet
@@ThatFunnyPlace it isn't about the story, it's about the What-If's and hidden story bits that would've been nice to see
It was nice to see Vegeta resist Babidi's control, wish there were more *choices* but if it's between What-If's vs Choices, I want more what-ifs since those would (probably, I'm no game developer) easier to make and appease fans: LOVED Goku saving Krillin from Great Ape Vegeta
Kakarot is amazing for cutscenes
@HebiSaru21 yeah I won't lie. My favorite what if is when goku went super saiyan fighting great ape vegeta. Then vegeta becomes super saiyan on namek and fights goku. That one and gohan black was awesome.
another problem with NPCs in single player is that they barely tranform at all and lot of the time they just stand and do nothing. And this experience is on highest difficulty.
People can apparently open up second accounts (on steam at least) so I don't think penalties to bans is unreasonable. I don't think the account the game is linked to should be banned entirely
95% of the general public have gold fish memory because if they didn't they'd remember a game called Jump Force that was pretty much the same thing... I take that back... it WAS the same thing Period
This game is an absolute gem to the tenkaichi series and comparing to jump force is absolute nonsense. Jump force is 10 times worse.
@@RealRich-w7xjump force was much better lmfao cope
@@FrostDrift69 You bumped your head as a baby huh
@@RealRich-w7xthey both nice
@@FrostDrift69cope harder
My only gripe with the game is the tricky timing with counters, teleporting out of the way, etc to get out of a combo. If you dont get that down the players will combo you or CPU will spam all day.
people quit cause we cant have fun online eveyrone just uses the same meta cheap moves and pummels you no one trying to make the fights looks flashey with cool doges and beam battlers and distruction like the game should be played
Another thing people don’t mention is most people don’t rematch regardless if they win or lose sending you back to the practice range cutscenes and then waiting and then the next game starts with unskippable cutscenes and then rinse and repeat 😭 when people one and done and I gotta go through the whole cutscene movie again half the time I just go do something else bc there’s more downtime than up it feels like
Im a huge DB fan and love this game a lot, grew up playing nearly every DB game u can think of even imported a few. But the reason is quite simple really why its player count has taken a nosedive, the biggest suspect i guarantee is the unbalanced gp especially online.
Its WAY too ez for ppl to score wins with insta sparking, insta teleportation moves that allows free lotioning up your backside, unblockable ults, and certain characters having higher hp than others mainly the top tiers like the fusions, it was only a matter of time b4 it started dropping fast seeing the same dozen or so broken ppl.
This is the issue, this generation of kids are not built for a brutal game like this. Technical difficulties and issues are obvious fixes. Idk, if you grew up on tenkachi 3 or even just difficult games it can give the patience or even grind to go through it. Rage Quitting is lame
Do people not know that the game was literally meant for offline and to play with your friends and family like this how I know all the ones complaining saying nonsense about how it fell off didn't play a single budokai in the past this game isn't for online for real it's a game you play to enjoy and have fun on
ROFL brutal game like this. Its a kids game you monkey. And it aint as hard as you think.
I grew up with 2D pixel JRPGs and played BT2 and 3. Sparking Zero isn't "brutal," it's just a bad game. Hate to break it to ya, but it's an unfinished, bug-ridden, contentless, shallow unbalanced mess where the highest level of gameplay is simply a Z counter spamfest and everything below that is abusing infinite energy androids and broken AIS and insta-sparking.
The amount of cope for this game is actually unreal and is unacceptable. I understand we all want this game to succeed and get more in the future, but attacking valid critcism and/or lying about the broken state of the game whilst pretending everything is fine is completely and utterly counterintuitive to the health and longevity of the series.
As someone who loved bt3 on ps2 I was so hyped and excited for this game. But now that it's here, I'm seeing no fun at all in playing it. The balance mess of the game is really tough. Funny how they said they weren't going to balance the game cuz it's not meant to be competitive then they do a tournament and get upset by the players using cheesy strategies to win.
Banning over rage quitting is good until some peoples condition force a quit out of nowhere. Ik of some people who's internet can be wonkey as hell and just crash the game counting it as a rage quit. Banning of this without being able to identify it is most definitely robbery.
I love the game but im not going to play everyday, i get bored every once and awhile, so i play other games, i get tired of playing the same games for a couple of days, so i switch on and off, its not that i hate the game, its just i dont feel like playing everyday 💀 i just hope they dont start chamging a bunch of stuff just because no ones playing. I love the game the way it is
XV2’s cheese was more fun to go against than Sparking Zero’s cheese
XV2 is balanced enough that no matter the cheese you face, there are counterplay options available. I've seen videos of people taking down literal OP-broken modders just by using the right counterbuild and strategy. 🥴🥴
Facts
@@dendo20p That would be nice actually. Sparking really does feel like a released beta in a lot of ways.
@@dendo20p Knowing Bandai, this is probably THE Dragon Ball game till at least 2030. This is probably the most money they've put into an anime IP, and I don't think they want that to go to waste.
@@hashi.All the DLC that will objectively make the most money, (Superhero and Daima Content.)
Is ALL releasing within the Next Year.
And the game has ONLY sold in North America and Europe.
In Japan it has *not* made anywhere near as much money.
Kakarot still has plenty of stories and arcs they could adapt.
Xenoverse 2 even if it does prayerfully end it's DLC run with number 20. That's most likely not happening till the 10 year anniversary which isn't for another year and a half.
And FighterZ 2 has probably been in development for a couple years now.
I don't think Sparking Zero was *meant* to last for a full decade or whatever.
This game even from the beginning has felt like a placeholder for something much, MUCH bigger down the line.
I work from 9-5 pm come home and have dinner with my girlfriend, watch movies, bro by the time i get to play its 11:15pm at night. Talking ab no one is playing bro you cant get a match 😂 maybe bc most people are actually at work just like you said in your video. in all seriousness or literally cannot be online that much. YALL FORGET THAT WE ARE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME OF A 40 YEAR OLD FRANCHISE NOT EVERYONE IS A FUCKING STREAMER AND GETS TO PLAY 200Hrs in one month.
You’re focused on the wrong things the problem isn’t online it’s how there’s literally nothing to do and the lack of detail and game mechanics is honestly insane when compared to bt3 and raging blast there’s literally just nothing it’s so boring and most of these characters blasts aren’t unique and have the same layout it gets boring there needs to be more details and mechanics that caught the attention that bt3 did. A game could look good but still be bad people are getting bored because there’s nothing to do not god damn online nobody bought this game to play it online???
honestly I wonder if the other big issue is the company isn't doing well and laid off a bunch of people. I don't know if that is the other issue or not.
Definitely is fair
I wish offline was harder. Super difficulty isn't really much of a challenge once you understand how to play.
@@nolimit_4950 agreed. It gets boring fast once you are good enough to win without trying
I want to add as well, single player mode is fine, but having nearly every soarking episode be activated by “defeat the enemy quicker” is boring as hell. Game is literally wanting you to go full power and spam as much as possible to unlock alternate story routes and it’s quite boring and frustrating.
I told people it would fall off (not die just fall off) in about a month and I got attacked for that. I still love the gameplay my biggest problem with it was they might as well have not made a story mode cuz what we got was a screenshot simulator and believe me when they first announced how it was gonna be I lowered my expectations pretty low and still felt pissed about how it was done
In their most recent announcement of Sparking Zero tournaments, Bandai wrote in their video description "Also, we’re gearing up for a patch to adjust some battle mechanics in December 2024, post-Online qualifiers. Stay tuned for more details!"
There is hope 🙏
This was on the Bandai Namco Entertainment America channel
The game has other major problems than quitting.
1. Charakter dosnt lock on enemy after certain moves or if new one spawns after you defeated one lost me games.
2. Endless vanish loops
3. Spawning on the other side of the map with your charakter after one is down > instant sparking for the opponent no counterplay > already big disadvantage.
4. 80% of the cast is unplayable in ranked because its so unbalanced.
5. Insta Sparking abilitys are to cheap for their impact
6. unblockable Ultimates
The problem i have is when people say the game supposed to be unbalanced. Thats fine just tone down the high tiers alittle and why have a huge roster if no one using the other characters?
dp battle is the most balanced way to play but that's where the most rage quits happen and it just kills the fun
it has unmeasurable potential. but bandai did their money. next dlc 1-2 new chars + 1 stage for 30$ instead of improvents incoming :,(
Wish Namco did Outfit Packs like Streetfighter does for their Characters
All kind of Outits for every character would be so amazing, true
I can care less about rage quitting until they address all thess cheesy tactics. All i see are after image strike teams , timeout setups, and giants and unblockable spam. 160 characters literally not being used. Never mind im starting to auto checkout during vanish battles.
Sometimes, our fandoms can take over our intuition and make us think things are better than they really are. This game just looked bad overall from the first time I saw it. But I am surprised it didn’t make it as long as it did.
So the BT games must look bad aswell? They both play largely the same
@@iramadrama8208 BT? Tbh idk what that is. Lol I don’t play these type of games. I just remember the hype for it cuz it came out around the time Undisputed boxing did.
they should definitely have a forfeit option so ppl can quit and the winner still rank up and the person who forfeits looses less xp and ppl who quit just straight up get banned
so has nobody gotten their data wiped ? 100% story completed and everything in the game unlock i loaded up the game to the tutorial im lvl 1 any fixes ?

Put your data on a Usb Stick Drive
@@hurricane7727 too late bruh💀
It has some avoidable problems.
However I dislike how there is no real communication from bandai which is sad
Bandai dont give two shits 😂 they got they bread already💯 i will say by mid January they will try to address rage quitting an by that time there will only be about 50 people left playing online then they will try n say we fixed rank rage quits an we have DLC characters to try n get people to come back to the game an some will come back but most wont even bother by that time it will be too late 🤦🏿 my prediction is this game will turn into another JUMPFORCE in other words a dead game ✌🏿
Sorry to hear that for y'all , I'm just glad even as a kid I never cared about online play
I enjoy so many things
Manager modes in sports games
Character selections in fighting games
Story in shooting games
Rpg's, and GTA and it's clones
No toxicity, no lags just relaxation after work
Really its the customization leading to dwindling player bases not the online. You used to be able to level up capsules, so you could have a Yajarobe with 5 hp bars and a lot of attack. By the way, the capsules worked in story mode, by default... so as you progressed through the story your characters got stronger, which felt nice. There were way more battles in the story mode.
Tornaments used to be able to have a bunch of rounds, not just 3. You could pick.
What made offline play fun was the ability to just simply select "custom" when fighting the computer so they'll use your customization picks, now its condaluded to do.
To say that the online is the biggest component of this game is bullshit, most people who were excited about this game are BT2 and BT3 fans, because those games, especially BT2, was made for Dragon Ball fans especially.
People are quiting because the end game used to be leveling up your characters, and making them stronger, and the story mode lasted sooooo long. The online aspect needs to be fixed, but playing the CPU used to fun in the old days, now it's... stale.
Im not tryna say you're the pessimist here, but you are literally the only person I've seen make videos on the game being bad. It gives me the feeling of when i used to play raging blast, tenkaichi, and xenoverse 1 as a kid. Ive been whooping ass and having fun, ive definitely raged but thats with any fighting game be fr. I played a shit ton of ufc and this is finally a fighting game that gives me a break from that. And ill rather fight super spammers than someone that doesnt let you charge and is constantly dashing at you trying to put you in backshots.
So question to the community. Is it the rage quitting or the attitude of the community that is toxic ?
Man, Sparking Zero has been a LOT of fun so far... even tho there are way too many sweats on the online lol. Nice video man, wish we could get Super back already, Daima is getting crazier and crazier tho, I just wish we had more serious Dragon Ball, kinda like Kakumei, also I need to see that Goku VS Beerus rematch... I liked that idea so much that I just made song inspired by it (check it out if you like metal!!!!)
Your mic has this dreadful bassy hum around 30Hz that's driving my subwoofers insane. It's always humming in the background. Makes it really unpleasant to listen to your videos. Can you please apply a high pass filter to your mic audio to get rid of this hum?
This is why I wish they would’ve kept the raging blast mechanics with the new counter system.
Not just team battles and online play. I’m sorry but SO many people ALSO don’t give af about online.
They need to make BETTER OFFLINE MODES!!! We wouldn’t have to play online, if they offered BETTER game modes!!! It’s so boring honestly. (I still play everyday I can)
That's what a lot of people don't get.
I was in a tournament of power game mode and i wasnt even fighting the host but i must have been fighting his friend because i was beating him and then the whole match just disconnected. I was so frustrated i decided to put the game down because its impossible to have fun when others just quit mid way. If i lose i just take the L
Well this generally happens just after a game releases, typically, i'm a very early 90's person 89' over here, so yeah growing up with games and living in 2024 almost 2025, I've gotta say I see this all too often with games that come out and everyone jumps online. Which isn't bad, but this is actually just something I figured I would wait on trying out because of how new the game was I just wasn't going to deal with the BS that online functions typically have after game releases.
For me I wasn't having hindsight this time around because I'm used to game releases and well due to experience this should blow over due to a multitude of players complaints & reports thus obviously being worked on in the next few weeks to a few months and boom it's taken care of for a temporary time till eventually the devs in some games start getting too nitpicky and start "over-balancing" a game where every single day is a way to look at a nerf as a method of cope rather than hope, haha blizzard I'm laughing at you buddy, to wishing you could find just get online and chill with friends and find unique methods to play the game and keep interest in it rather than realize the game is just torn apart till nobody really cares about it just so something else can be released. ---- basically I play 1p vs 2P on my computer without login other than my steam with friends & family at home and it's very fun if you know how to get the controllers in your computer configured perfectly. (which isn't too bad, but somethings the game can confuse the 1p & 2p from time to time.)
This video alone proves it'll only take a bit of time for things to get fixed, but I seriously loath developers that believe in over complicating the words "gotta be balanced" or "oh sorry it's for balance reason" or "yeah now it's perfectly balance... (for me ha ha I complained enough)". Yeah that, that got old with blizzard games, but with games like the one in this video it's just a simple matter of working on it after release because online features need more time for experimentation and testing obviously.
My biggest take away is the battle AI's instant recovery, powering through attacks, instant blocking AND dodging! Fuck online with rage quitters, it's like that for ANY game with online VS Mode. You will Never escape that for any game with online play.
I dont get what the issue is. In what fighting game is ranked.. fun? That's where you go.. to try hard.
When you want flashy fun, you join a community of like minded players. Why must the community complain so much ?
Most players aren’t even trying to have fun. It’s mostly that they get exposed for being ass at the game so they just quit lol
I shouldn't have to go online and search for a community to play the game without people being allowed to be dicks
You have to be somewhat retarded
Its fun in fighters, tekken, sf8, and mk. Sparking zero doesnt require that much skill to play its more so pick the strongest characters or characters with cheesy gimmicks thus why people arent playing anymore.
@trehundobeatz6359 that's literally what it's always been about. That's what made it so fun for us back in the day. Idk what yall expected.
This game looks like it got so much potential but I still gotta wait on those problems getting addressed before buying :/ Hope they fix the game soon.
I'm sure it'll be open to exploit, but if you penalize players who rage quit by deducting points from them and awarding them to the one who didn't quit, it might disincentivize people from quitting?
