As Foursquare minister, you have done an excellent overview of our denomination. There is one statement that should be noted though. In the statement of belief, we state that we are an Arminian denomination but recognize that the reformed position can easily be shown through scripture. Because of this, we do not make this a point of contention. (Paraphrased)

It would be great if you could do a video on Aimee Semple McPherson among other church denomination organizers and founders. I've learned much about denomination beliefs by reading biographies and online resources. John Wesley's Methodism also influenced the rise of Pentacostalism with the Second Blessing. Also his organizational style really facilitates these "small groups" that we have in these larger churches. A Playlist of some of these influencers would greatly enhance the content of the channel.

    • @MountainFisher
      @MountainFisher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It is hard to understand these different branches or practices without going back to the roots of certain teachings. Do not forget the second person who helped found Methodism, one George Whitfield. I was always curious about certain practices and beliefs. G. Whitfield was terribly hurt by John Wesley essentially stealing his English Congregation while he was doing an Evangelical campaign in America and converting them to Wesley's extreme Pelagian Arminian teachings that even Jacobus Arminius or Jakob Hermanszoon would disagree with.
From Whitfield's preaching (he was called the Divine Dramatist) to Charles Finney's turning Revivalism into the standard for American revivals when the Mourner's Bench became our modern 'Altar Call' that many churches believe you haven't preached the Gospel without an Altar Call. Finney is who started the practice of choirs and bands with soloists. Something that had not been much if any practiced before. Indeed Charles Finney is where the American cult of celebrity started. Finney's Revivalist show was the equivalent of the circus coming to town. All that led down to crazy practices like Benny Hinn's crusades or the "Laughing Revivals.
To understand Benny Hinn you need to understand Aimee McPherson's affect on Katheryn Kulman who Hinn openly acknowledges as being his model that he follows, even though he never met her he attended many of her crusades. I did meet Kathryn Kuhlman twice as a confused young Christian, but her revivals never degenerated into the spectacles that Hinn's do. I'm sure many of Hinn's practices and teachings has both women rolling over in their graves. Sadly the people who arrived in wheelchairs left in them. Except of course the ones that Hinn got caught paying to jump out of wheelchairs.

Aimee Semple McPherson is fascinating, especially her "kidnapping". I share the opinion of many others that her "kidnapping" was more likely a run to Mexico for an abortion for an out of wedlock child, which didn't go well, hence the relatively long disappearance.

How old were you? Jesus says we do not need to be baptized in water in order to be saved, I see it more as an act of faith, like saying "I want to follow you/draw near to you". Still strange that someone would try to pressure you like that, I hope it didn't turn you away from faith in general.

@@lettus143Jesus did say you need to be baptized to be saved. John 3:5, Mark 16:16, and Peter affirms this in 1st Peter 3:21. • @lettus143
      @lettus143 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@sethg.sturgeon5457 I've always believed that the"born of water and spirit" refers to physical birth and spiritual rebirth. So being born and then born again. A good argument for this was Jesus speaking with the thief on the cross. The thief sees Jesus and believes he is who he says he is and says "you shouldn't be here, please remember me when you enter the kingdom" Jesus doesn't respond by telling him that he needs to get down from his cross and go be baptized quickly. He tells him "today you will be with me in paradise" because he BELIEVED in Christ and the holy Spirit came upon him and convicted him of his ways. Born again without water.

    • @sethg.sturgeon5457
      @sethg.sturgeon5457 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@lettus143 so, a few things here… 1: you specifically said “Jesus said you don’t need to baptized with water to be saved.” He absolutely never said that, and I sited 2 places that He directly says the opposite.
2: your interpretation of that John 3:5 goes against what all the Church Fathers say about what Jesus means when He says you must be born of water and the spirit. The idea that Jesus is referring to the first birth as amniotic fluid/water and then a second birth as Holy Spirit alone is a modern view. It is the consensus of all of Church History that He is referring to being baptized with water, and the Holy Spirit will then indwell you. That is the new birth He is referring to, and you will be extremely hard pressed to find any Church theologian who holds to anything other than this view prior to 1500AD, and even then, I’m pretty sure it’s only Zwingli until about the 1750s… so the burden of proof is on you, but I’m going with the consensus view, not the fringe view.
3: nobody (or at least no serious theologian would say) that if you are NOT baptized, then you can’t be saved. Baptism seems to be the normative means of salvation, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be saved apart from it. Everybody ALWAYS points to the thief on the cross… what they always forget about him though, is that he was still under the old covenant. Jesus hadn’t even died yet, and He certainly hadn’t risen yet, and it was only after that, right before His ascension into Heaven that He fully institutes the New Covenant and gives the sacrament of Baptism. Mark 16:16 and Matthew 28 in the Great Commission. Baptism does save. Faith saves. Grace saves. Forgiveness of sins saves. Repentance saves. All of these things save under the banner of the one who works them: Jesus Christ, our God in the flesh.

I attend/attended Beaverton Foursquare the last decade plus that Randy Remington was the lead pastor there. Much of what was presented in this video was never taught or displayed in that time, to my knowledge. I never once heard anyone speak in tongues or heard a sermon on it. No one ever prophesied nor did I hear a sermon on it. Only once did a woman preach and I can recall being confused because I thought women weren't supposed to preach, but I never heard a sermon on that topic either. Aimee used the KJV, most scripture quoted by ICFG is NKJV, but we use NIV flavor of the month. I mean that literally as the preachers now teach from electronic devices that don't match the pew bibles or the congregation's bibles. The point of all my blathering is that it is apparent that many of the stated beliefs of the ICFG are flexible and up to the opinion of the local pastor rather than a strict "thou shalt". The range of experiences at the various ICFG churches must be huge.

Foursquare is a very centralized denomination. If your state (in the U.S.) has a corporate or business database (usually at your state's Secretary of State's website), you will find that every local Foursquare church is a "DBA" (or "assumed business name") of International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, a California corporation. This is even more centralization than the Roman Catholic Church (whereas most of its parishes are part of the Diocesan corporation, or if a parish is a standalone corporation, usually the diocesan bishop is the "sole member" of that corporation).
Also, there used to be a rule(?) that every Foursquare church had to be named in this fashion: [City] [Number if there are multiple congregations in that city | or a language/ethnic group, such as Spanish, Chinese, etc.] Foursquare Church. Because of this, the denomination also allowed them to have so-called "slogan names" by which they could market themselves on an informal basis. (An example would be "Springfield #3 Foursquare Church" may be commonly known as "New Life Christian Center," the latter being the "slogan name"). The Foursquare website used to have a directory that listed both.

What happens if a congregation wants to leave the denomination?

    • @willowwillow9370
      @willowwillow9370 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@angelbonilla2255 According to the Bylaws of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, 13.4.D, a "Charter Church" or a "District Church" (a congregation that is legally owned by the denomination) can convene a church council and then, with a vote of the pastor and 3/4 of the council, notify the district supervisor expressing the intention to disaffiliate. Then a congregational vote is to be held, and if 3/4 of the active membership votes in favor of disaffiliation, then the Board of the denomination will determine the disposition of that congregation's assets.
This means it is possible for a Charter or a District church of Foursquare to leave the denomination, but it is entirely up to the denomination's Board to decide if that congregation can keep its building, etc.
The denomination can also exercise its authority to terminate a congregation's existence.
A "Covenant Church" of Foursquare is not owned by the denomination, and it is therefore much easier for it to leave the denomination.

Beliefs are similar, but their church government structure is different.
Each AOG church is their own church, they set their own bylaws etc. Not so in the foursquare.
Each church building is owned by the denomination in foursquare. And pastors are appointed by the district supervisor in foursquare.
The local AOG church decides for themselves how they want to appoint their pastor. For instance I know some AOG churches that vote if they will keep their pastor every year.
With foursquare the local church can't do that, only the district supervisor can appoint or remove the senior pastor.
      Foursquare is modified Episcopalian.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Rom 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Cor 13:8 Love never fails
1 Tim 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure
1 Tim 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
1 John 4:14 we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world
John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work
Ecc 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
Ecc 3:17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Mic 7:18-19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Ps 22:27-28 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations.
John 6:37-39 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Rom 11:25-27 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Eph 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Phil 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure
Eph 1:10-11 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 2:2 He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
2 Cor 5:18-19 all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Col 1:20 having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Gen 12:3 I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Gen 28:14 thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed
Ezek 16:53-55 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them. When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.
Gen 26:4 I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed
1 Cor 15:54-55 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O hell, where is thy victory?
Hos 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O hell, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

The Error of the Protestant Lie:
"But as for the cowardly and unbelieving, and abominable and murderers, and fornicators and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their portion shall be in the pool that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Revelation 21:8, ignored by all liars. See Rev 21:27 also.
It is a foregone conclusion that Jesus Christ founded only one Church.
    1) Why then, do Protestants ignore this fact and continue to splinter the Body of Christ?
    2) There is no Protestant who can trace his or her church back any farther than the Protestant revolt of the early 16th century.
Where is the verse which authorized them to break from the true Church in the first place?
    3) No Protestant can show that their church was founded by Jesus Christ, yet Scripture says there is only one Church, the one founded by GOD (Psalms 127:1, Matthew 16:18).
    4) They deny that the Catholic Church is the Church which Jesus Christ founded, yet they cannot name the Church which He did found in its stead. Isn't it strange that Scripture has said that GOD's Church will last forever (Isaiah 2:2,59:21, Matthew 28:20, Ephesians 3:21), and yet Protestants refuse to name it? If Scripture can be believed at all, why then do they refuse to name GOD's one and only Church?
    5) They cannot name the person who founded the Catholic Church while at the same time they deny that it was Jesus Christ. That is strange also, since every Church on earth was founded by a person with a name. Every single one of the tens of thousands of Protestant sects can be traced back to a human person with a name, as its founder. Why is it that Protestants refuse to name the founder of the Catholic Church?
Isn't that the epitome of arrogance as I touched upon in a previous segment?
    6) Why do Protestants spread the lie that the Catholic Church apostatized soon after the last Apostle died, and therefore the Church of today is not the one that Jesus Christ founded?
This lie flies in the face of Matthew 16:18, as Protestants must then have to admit that the 'gates of hell' did indeed prevail, that the Bible was in error, and that all of the verses I have previously listed that promise the perpetualty of Christ's Church must be in error as well. This so-called "great apostasy" lie is then magnified a hundredfold since no Protestant can produce genuine historical documents which record such a "monumental, universe shaking event". Every writer who was alive at the time had to have witnessed that supposed "profound event", and those who have lived ever since (up until the time that the lie was invented by Protestantism), did not write about it either. What with the "greatest event since the crucifixion" at hand, why didn't they? It is because it never happened, that's why. Simply put, "No lie is of the truth", 1John @, so therefore no lie can be proven.
Scripture does say that people within Christ's Church will apostatize, but not the Church itself. For you see, it is impossible, since Christ is the Head, and the Church is His Body.
How could the Body of Christ rebel against, and leave His Head? They are inseparable forever.
"Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior." Ephesians 5:22-23
Okay Protestants, explain those verses? Is Christ really the Savior of His Body, or did He desert it as Protestantism would have us believe? Is Holy Scripture in error yet again according to Protestant false charges?
Are we to believe the Protestant lie, or the truth of the Word of GOD?
Do you recall the story of the wheat and the chaff, where the weeds will co-exist with the righteous up until the very end, and then they will be separated out and burned (Matthew 13:24-30)?
"For, in the first place, when you assemble as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it, for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized." 1Corinthians 11:18-19.
From those two verses we have a perfect example of the apostasy of individuals within the Church, those who cause divisions and factions. Now from what I have shown in many places in this writing, just who is the cause of divisions and factions? It is none other than Protestantism. Protestantism has already created over 36,000 divisions and factions, and which number is still increasing unceasingly every week to this very day.
Who are the 'genuine among you'?
They are the faithful of the one and only Church that Jesus Christ founded and which is still with us after almost 2000 years of persecution. Read Acts 5:38-39 for the reason why this longevity.
For those who continue to spread the lie of the so-called, and non-existent, "great apostasy", please re-read Revelation 21:8, and endeavor to explain Ephesians 5:23-24?
    7) How many verses have I shown in this writing that Protestants ignore? Isn't it a lie to say that you follow Scripture literally to the word, and yet ignore so many Scriptural verses?
    8) Why do Protestants take the whole Bible literally except for John chapter 6, which they call symbolic? One chapter in the whole Bible is symbolic? How can that be true?
    9) How can Protestants say that Sola Scriptura has been in use from day one, when for over 1400 years almost no one had a Bible, and even if they did, the great majority of the masses were illiterate anyhow?
    10) Since Protestants believe that "all Scripture is inspired (2Tim @)", then why aren't the gospels of Peter, Philip, Nicodemus, Bartholomew, Andrew, Thomas, etc, in their Bible?
    11) Where in Holy Scripture did Jesus give instructions that the Christian faith is to be solely based on a book? How about the same question except for using the Apostles instead of Jesus?
    12) Why do Protestants say it is the Bible which is the pillar and foundation of truth when the Bible clearly says it is the Church (1Tim @)? Please give me the name of that Church?
    13) Why do Protestants reject Apostolic Tradition when the Bible clearly says, "So then, brethren, stand firm and hold the teachings that you have learned, whether by word or by letter of ours."
2Thessalonians @, yet another verse ignored, and taught against by Protestantism.
    14) Why do Protestants deny that the Bible came from the Catholic Church when they cannot name a truthful and provable alternate source, and where there are literally hundreds of genuine historical documents which prove them to be wrong in their denial?
    15) Protestants deny that Peter was given primacy in Matthew 16:18. Nothing in Scripture is done without a purpose. For what purpose then, did Jesus change Simon's name to Peter?
    16) Why do Protestants deny that the Papacy is Scriptural, when in fact, it is very Scriptural?
    17) Why is it that Protestants can never supply genuine historical documents to "prove" their false charges? Is it because the lie can never be proven, but the truth can be?
It is simple, if you have no truth, then you have no proof.
Catholics can, and do, supply genuine historical documents to prove what they teach.
Why then do Protestants refuse to read them? Romans 1:18, 2:8
    18) Why do Protestants deny the unbroken line of succession of Popes down through the centuries from St. Peter to the present Pope, when the Catholic Church has given free access for anyone to research genuine historical documents to prove it to be true, but Protestants refuse to read them? Anyone can go to a secular encyclopedia and see the same succession of Popes.
    19) Why do Protestants deny that the Catholic Church has existed from the first century, when hundreds of genuine historical documents, written by scores of Holy men and women, are freely available to prove them wrong in their denial? However, Protestants simply refuse to read them. As explained earlier, Protestants teach that history ended with Acts 28:30 and did not begin again until Luther came along.
    20) I saved the worst Protestant lie as the last one on this list. When asked who founded the Catholic Church, there are some who answer correctly that it is Jesus Christ who founded it, but they quickly add that the Catholic Church fell into apostasy and is not the same Church today as the one founded by Jesus. Of course they have no documented proof of this world shaking event as to the who caused it and when and where it happened. By making this false charge they may have condemned themselves because they have just called Jesus Christ a liar. You see there are verses in Holy Scripture which they either choose to ignore or do not understand, and the verses show that Jesus in fact did promise that His Church would last for all time and so did St Paul:

Your post is too long...as always people.forget that Martin Luther did not start his own church. He was a catholic priest and teacher of theology that realized that the Roman church had introduced heresies that he wanted to be be removed and return to true biblical teaching. The pope kicked him out. That and only that is the start if the protestant church. The other protestant churches outside Lutheranism were man made. Hope that helps. The conservative Lutheran church is the true catholic church...catholic not Roman catholic.

Does anyone ever bother to notice that in the scripture Jesus started am actual church Himself, not anyone named Aimee? Nobody named named Luther, or Henry, or Jim Jones or Aimee is mentioned by Jesus at all. Someone actually has the keys given by Christ. The authority given by Christ the king is real and it belongs to the keeper of the keys. Now it is understandable that people in ignorance may have been misinformed and formed erroneous ideas, but both history and the scriptures are clear on the keys business. "He who hears you hears Me." Christ was speaking to the leaders of the church He founded. So if you don't listen to those leaders you don't listen to Christ. Willful disobedience to the authority of the king's keeper of the keys is not reform, not freedom, but rebellion. It is saying "I will not serve". Any idea who also said 'I will not serve" - You know what a freelance church is really - it is the same sin as Adam - you want to be like God - you do not want to submit - you want to judge right and wrong for yourself. That's why Protestants divorce, support abortion, use contraception, have actively fornicating and active homosexuals in leadership - you can't be successful using keys you do not have.
Find the guy with the keys and honor his God-given authority; then you will be on obedience to Christ, just as He prayed in the garden that all should be ONE. Or, you can just crap on Jesus and His prayer in the garden and keep your pride. A helpful hint, the guy with the keys has a flag with the keys on it, just to make it easy to see. You know who it is, everybody knows. Do actual reform not rebellion.

The keys (metaphor for power) to forgive and retain sins were given to all the disciples at one point in the Bible. They were promised to Peter when he made his confession… but he didn’t receive them until Jesus gave them to all of them at once.
The Orthodox churches, including the Armenian Church which has ancient beginnings, has never had such doctrine as you’re implying… that is, that Rome has the keys.
Such a thing is novel and Peter is still the Rock. He didn’t pass his “rockness” or name to another. He and the others still have their keys (the power to forgive and retain) and he never relinquished them. Christ never told him to do such a thing.

    • @johnjon1823
      @johnjon1823 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@zarnoffa The authority existed then and now, just like they replaced Judas they replace leadership as needed. The authority and power are quite real. The original Church exists, it is the Catholic Church and the pope has the keys and nobody else. The king gave the keys and all that went with it for a reason: to rule and teach in His absence. The authority of Christ Himself went with the keys. This is a constant teaching of the church from the earliest of times and among the church fathers. Even John the Apostle referred decisions to the bishop or Rome and that bishop was not Peter, Peter was dead. Stealing the keys is theft, denial of the keys of Peter and his successors is denial of Christ's will and authority and His choice to delegate power on earth in his absence. To deny the pope is to deny Christ.
Freelance churches are not obedient to the will of Christ and are in rebellion pure and simple.
The rebellion is completely manifest in the many and contrary teachings of the fake churches and their manifest surrender to the world and its values such as: nationalistic churches such as the Greeks and Russians have. Surrender to sodomy, abortion, and contraception, and divorce all approved by the "churches" in rebellion.
Surrender to Christ and His church.

When you say “they” you mean the Roman Church has twelve actual Apostles? You realize you had to have seen Christ to be an Apostle, right? Uff da. And John didn’t refer anyone to Rome. What a major myth. Laughable really.
Peter still has the keys, as do all those whom Christ breathed on and gave the power to lock and unlock forgiveness of sins… those to whom are given the ministry of the Word.
      John 20:22-23
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

@@zarnoffa Stealing is theft. Thieves go to hell check that scripture. Be sure to thank the Catholics for the bible while you do nobody else put the scripture together.
As for biblical interpretation I much prefer the one authentic pope to the million stealers of the keys each of whom contradicts the next and all of whom are in rebellion to the king.
Pretend all you want. Judas was quite the thief too. Sorry Mr. pretend self-pope, you have no keys at all, just make it up as you go everyone a pope. The only thing blowing over you is hot air.

If you want to harp on stealing, Rome shouldn’t steal both the name and the keys from an Apostle who is still alive… bot to mentions relics and so many other things.
Yes, I will use my brain to determine my way. My observations and basic reasoning happen to coincide with others’ conclusions, so I’m not alone.
You can do your typical thing and drop your brain at the door of Rome… even though it supposedly requires reason to get to the door. Are you sure you reasoned correctly to get there? Uh oh!
It’s weird that you start to doubt your reasoning ability only after you walk into Rome; not before.
