@@Tulip_bip id only want it to play if you went out of bounds somewhere or a really rare occurence if you find something. but yeah 100% agree with the signal idea
The Freezer is a classic video game urban legend which came as a result of a game overflow crash that would happen in Saints Row 2 if the player used a particular glitch. If a player were to use cheats in the zombie mode to get out of bounds, they would respawn in the regular overworld while zombie mode was still active. While in this mode, the world would be devoid of most npcs as they're not supposed to be there in the first place, but while that's happening, the game has also sprung a memory leak as a result of the player being in a place they aren't supposed to be in. Eventually, this memory leak leads to rendering errors, including a visible npc spawning in the otherwise vacant overworld, which would be followed by the game locking up. The claims about physical copies of the game being bricked seem unfounded.
I liked that glitch a lot, the fact that you only see a shadow at any time, on the walls and floors, and that's it, your fate is sealed, "the monster found you".
That was mainly a bug caused by a distance ped spawning too close and causing a crash trying to load the LOD model during the Zombie Minigame; where you glitch yourself out to Stilwater using granades and low gravity. Apparently it only was evident in the 360 Version. PS3 and PC never had that problem. Mrsaintsgodzillia kinda confirmed it with a bricked SR2 copy with encountering one by walking around.
The physical copy claim only came from xbox 360 players and they claimed the disc would have a perfect circular scratch in the middle. Older models of the xbox 360 were known to scratch discs with the disc reader, it's likely that these 2 events coincidentally lined up and people thought they were connected
This might have taken inspiration from "The Freezer" from Saints Row 2 that appears similarly to this one, getting out of bounds in certain mission/gamemode The thing is that, in console versions of the game, it actually bricked your copy and you couldn't play ever again if you had it via Disc.
Just looked it up and damn is it fascinating! It's so creepy, eerie, and confusing, especially since it was never intended to happen. At first, I thought The Freezer was a measure the devs took to discourage hacking the game and cheating, but no it is really a glitch... a very scary glitch at that.

That is a very creepy way to restrict someone from going out of bounds; like, you are casually walking, you decide to turn around and you see a shadow from an entity you hadn't even seen beforehand. And then the game subtly crashes, leaving you dumbfounded at what you just saw. Also, this... "thing's" shape reminds me of those husks you see in close your eyes.

That is one of the scariest ones so far... I do have a suggestion (spoilers?) I have seen a video where the player sleeps, but suddenly, the screen outside the base while they're sleeping goes dark and a figure that looks like the Wendigo goes towards the screen. When it go close, it triggered aa special nightmare that looked really weird and was different from the others. Do you know what triggers it and what the nightmare means? Would be interesting to cover but I don't know if there is a trigger (like sleeping in the dark, at a specific time, or triggering the bathroom wendigo) or if is completely random.
Ah, now this is a very interesting one. I think I've seen it, but in the probably 100+ hours I've played, I haven't experienced it. If I do, though, I'll be sure as heck to show that off and try to figure out the details about it!
I’d also genu8enly thought about it! And I’m glad that you, and the lower comment beneath responded to it! So thanks for this odd and unusual coincidence!
@@spurdo_of_92 I kept on trying to find the video with no avail. Would you kindly, if possible post it here? I’d been constantly screenshooting all comments and info of this game just to preserve it in one way or form. I plan to long ahead, to set up one big guide of information

Never mind, I just checked and it seems like I somehow got into the labrynth sleep event without sleeping.
I wonder if this is a reference to the Interloper ARG. THe shadowman there does the same thing.
the reference is two things - those creepy pasta's about finding stair cases that lead nowhere in forests and something weird happens if you climb them, and the freezer, a bug that happened in saints row 2 if you got out of bounds during the zombie survival mode, the game tries to render your shadow and freaks out and freezes, allegedly this also bricks your game but the Xbox 360 was just good at doing that in general
does anybody know why does the 'im going to eat you'' or something message appears? i got it and i freaked out
Is this a reference to those stairs in forests stories from years ago that had no pay off?
That is one of the scariest ones so far...
I do have a suggestion (spoilers?)
I have seen a video where the player sleeps, but suddenly, the screen outside the base while they're sleeping goes dark and a figure that looks like the Wendigo goes towards the screen.
@@soft_gremlin1845 it's on nutmeg's youtube channel.

I plan to long ahead, to set up one big guide of information
yo dude votv board game dropped
Hey. Great video. I enjoyed the editing.
My question is, what kind of content was teased/named to be in the next "big" update?
So, I'll take a current version of the big changelog list in the Discord:
Added:
>3 threats
>1 SUPER THREAT
>35+ objects
>5 random events
>8 locations
>1 upgrade
>41+(idk) props
>43 signals
>14 events (5 events of a sequence)
>6 days
>Fire
>BOOM!!!
>Seats
>Different physical materials particles
>"Big Piramid"
So I'd say there's going to be a lot of stuff to talk about. The SUPER THREAT part kind of scares me...!
@@soft_gremlin1845 thanks :)

If you're talking about the one lodged in a metal grate, you can't grab that one. You have to buy one in the store accessed through the laptop!
