So glad we got to be a part of this! My only regret is letting Scott decide and be the boss for once. I promise to never let that happen again! Next convention we go Steve Craig versus Scott, beard versus beard... I don't even care what the challenge is 😂😂😂😂 The reenactment at the end 😂😂😂😂😂😂 please lose more video clips. This was awesome!
Love these “game hunting on a budget” type videos you do. Just goes to show that every console has its share of great games that are still super affordable.
Really like these videos. Hobby has gotten real expensive over the last few years so its nice to show people there is still absolute gems for very affordable prices. Not sure if you realized it, but the Super Mario Advance 3 isn't NTSC. That's a PAL copy. Console is region free, so it doesn't really matter for playability
By the way have you seen Tyler Esposito's channel my retro life I seen his TH-cam channel he really does have a really good TH-cam channel he definitely has a lot of real-life home video footage of his life growing up with gaming back in the day I over all really do think he's easily one of the best TH-camrs ever come.
These are some great titles. One I always go back to is Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for the Game Boy Color. Obviously not as good as the PS1/N64 version, but still a solid skateboarding game for a handheld. Also, I think a loose copy goes for like $5.
I would have recommend ff4 advance. 20-30 bucks loose. One of the best in the series, and lots of added end game content! Anywho, really enjoy these vids man
A heck of a challenge to complete, and a TON of games to go for (all of which were great, varied picks)! Awesome to see you were able to nab the recommend I provided! Easily my favorite GBA game of all-time! Clever way to wrap up the finale lol. Great video as always man!
This was a really awesome Game boy video challenge there's definitely a lot of games on the Game boy and Game boy advance and Game boy color that were so good I wouldn't mind playing some of these games in the future.
My wife has Final Fight One CIB from her childhood and Super Mario Land 2 which I see was another selection. This was a super fun video with all the creators and I love the GameBoy so I eagerly watched for some great games. I was surprised at some of the selections... here's a few that are great GameBoy games that are fairly affordable loose- - Paperboy, Solar Striker, Aerostar, Operation C... if I had to choose one for you to go find it would be Choplifter II, an excellent search and rescue game and sequel the SMS game of Choplifter but much better. (I know, hard to believe!) For the GameBoy Color I would pick Warlocked, I did a TC Show on it. If you are looking for a little bit more pricey maybe $50 loose, I would suggest Return of the Ninja. A widely underrated amazing game for the GameBoy Color. Awesome video!
Does anybody with that green cartridge Yoshi's Island was but I think game boy advance I had that version , i think it had rumblers in the cartridge I can't remember tho it's been so long
Sucks you lost some footage! Please tell Chris his Watchmen shirt is badass!!!! Zelda Link's Awakening, Kirby's Dreamland, AND Battle Arena Toshinden are all awesome! I played and beat (with walk throughs) the Link's Awakening remake on Switch! Fantastic game, and is now my favorite Zelda game! Kirby's Dreamland I played years ago on my yellow GameBoy Pocket one day on a weekend, and beat about 3 or 4 times because I was bored. Love that game! As for Battle Arena Toshinden, yes he explained the gameplay pretty well, but I would say it plays identically to a fighter on the Neo Geo Pocket Color! Yes it's that good! Takara also ported King of Fighters '95 on GameBoy and they both play identically!
The one game I really do recommend you actually play on the Gameboy advance is Super Mario advance 2 Super Mario Brothers 3 that is a really awesome Port of Super Mario Brothers 3 on the NES that's a game I really do recommend for the Gameboy advance.
I would have liked to see more games for sale from the booth. See more material, see the prices that they usually have there. See rare and most expensive games for sale.
@@RetroWolf_YT Yes I understand. But it costs nothing to add a few seconds to watch. Those of us who are collectors like to see material as if we were there. Good video though 🙂👍
So the games we X out at the end, it isn't necessarily that we couldn't find them, but it is that we ran out of the budget for the challenge which is generally $100 but in this one it was $125
@ZombieNation85 yeah I make the challenge extra hard because I also buy them and try to buy as many as I can without spending over a certain amount. It is a fun challenge
That would be cool but it would break up the flow and momentum of the video too much because I would end up having to film that days or weeks later outside of the con and it just wouldn't fit
So glad we got to be a part of this!

Hahaha thanks Jenn! Glad you enjoyed the reenactment 🤣🤣
Marcello had the best answer! CotM is under $30, so awesome!!!
It was a good one!
Love these “game hunting on a budget” type videos you do. Just goes to show that every console has its share of great games that are still super affordable.
Thanks man! That is exactly why I do them!
So many great recommendations in this video! I’ll have to try some of the ones I don’t own! Thanks again for having me! :)
Thanks for joining!!
I'm surprised you couldn't find Zelda or Kirby!! Those are classics!
Me too!!
Super Mario Bros Deluxe... that and pokemon blue and silver and pokemon pinball were basically all I ever played on my gameboy color.
Good stuff!
Still waiting to see that humble museum John hancock. Maybe I'll fly out to the west coast to see it.
Sounds fun!

Not sure if you realized it, but the Super Mario Advance 3 isn't NTSC. That's a PAL copy. Console is region free, so it doesn't really matter for playability
That is definitely the point of these videos glad you picked up on that 👌👌
Zelda links awakening and Kirby’s dreamland were my first gameboy games as a kid, so they are iconic to me.
So freaking good!
Fun and great video, thanks for having me 🎉
Can't wait to have ya on again dude!
Those were some awesome recommendations and awesome to see you were able to find a good amount of them. Great video man.
Thanks!!
I’d say you did pretty damn well brother! Great getting to see and hear all of the different suggestions. Another fantastic video, Matt!
Thanks Steve I am glad you were able to join in!

I need to check that one out!
Thanks for having all of us in the video!
Thanks for joining!
Final Fantasy Adventure for Game Boy. Yeah mainly over $30 but it can still be found for under.
Love that game!
Gba gems for $30 or less are super hard to come by nowadays.
Agreed!
I actually had Conkers at my booth for $20 . I think you bought the best ones though, I think Retrobeard had the best suggestion though. Good content
Thanks man I appreciate it!!
Yes! Conkers! Such a good one
I like the Crystal Quest for the Gameboy.
Good game!
Man, that was a long list! Glad you were able to find Super Mario Land 2, although I would have been more surprised if you hadn't.
Agreed!
I would have recommend ff4 advance. 20-30 bucks loose. One of the best in the series, and lots of added end game content! Anywho, really enjoy these vids man
Appreciate it and that is a good choice!

Thanks brotha!
Good video!! Think you talked to just about everyone in the retro gaming community except for Riff/Editor Riff from Pixel Game Squad/Retro Rick 😊
He was so busy I didn't get a chance to haha
This was a really awesome Game boy video challenge there's definitely a lot of games on the Game boy and Game boy advance and Game boy color that were so good I wouldn't mind playing some of these games in the future.
The game I played most on game boy was a Cabela's big game hunter ( First game i ever 100%) after that it was pokémon cartoon Network racing too
I need to check those out!

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories is a good one
I need to play it!

Appreciate it!

He said gargles quest… I think that might be on the hub lol

Project F20 knows what's up
Super dope concept for an episode👌
🤘🤘🤘
Matt, doggie you're having too much fun 😂😂😂 🙌🏼
Always
@@RetroWolf_YT what better way to live
0:24 there’s three of the games that couldn’t be found all in the same shot.
So the games we X out at the end, it isn't necessarily that we couldn't find them, but it is that we ran out of the budget for the challenge which is generally $100 but in this one it was $125
@@RetroWolf_YT Oh, I misunderstood. I didn’t think you necessarily had to buy them at all, just find them at the con.
@ZombieNation85 yeah I make the challenge extra hard because I also buy them and try to buy as many as I can without spending over a certain amount. It is a fun challenge
Alot of men have beards today, but I still prefer a clean shave. It looks more youthful. LOL
Capcom mini mix gba
Who is the goth girl in the background pick backpack?
She’s in a lot of videos
That’s a man bro
She’s a dirty reseller
need to end the video with your opinion on which was your favorite that you ended up trying.
That would be cool but it would break up the flow and momentum of the video too much because I would end up having to film that days or weeks later outside of the con and it just wouldn't fit
