    Nice vid, John, just subbed to your channel. You arrived before I did despite leaving the Bight the following day. Those NW winds on friday drove me east into the Gulf Stream and I got dragged quite far--the current was about 4 knots. Entered the Bay Bridge after midnight, triple-reefed, rain, 30 knots in squalls ... you didn't miss much.

      I figured you’d have some challenges when we found the wind a bit more out of the north than forecast on Friday.

      It’s the best job in the world. You get paid to be wrong most of the time.

    Why don't you wash down the chain before it gets to the haus pipe???

    • @TheCorsair
      @TheCorsair  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The crappy wash down nozzle didn’t have enough power to reach the chain when facing into 15 knots.

  • @emilybh6255

    Too bad the hose wouldn't stretch farther forward so you could have sprayed the chain standing right at the bow before it went through the chock bringing all the debris with it. Otherwise it looks like you had a nice cruise!

    • @TheCorsair
      @TheCorsair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not the hose length. It’s the water pressure coming out the nozzle. When faced with 15 knots of wind it goes about 3 feet.

    How far offshore of Hatteras did you run? I’ve heard some say 8+nm to avoid shoals. Charts say different.
