I liked the Shrek one actually, which surprised me since I didn't think I would. But before this, my favorite was still the original version. While I still love that one, this has also basically made me compare every other version to it, and they're mostly found wanting.

I LOVE when people finally find Pentatonix!!! Everyone's reactions are all the same, mostly speechless and can't believe that their voices can be that amazing. Every cover they do to different songs usually end up sounding better than the original! They do have a different bass singer now named Matt and he is just as good as Avi, the one that left. What is actually the most amazing is that they sound just as amazing live in concert! Pentatonix are a fantastic group but there is one other version of this song with them as a backing group. It was on the Steve Harvey programme "Little Big Shots". The lead singer was a 10 year old girl called Kaylee Roger's. What makes this so wonderful is Kaylee, who comes from Northern Ireland, attends a special school because she is autistic. Up to a couple of years ago she hardly ever spoke, then a teacher at this school, Killard House School, realised she did have a beautiful singing voice. He worked with her and now she can sing like an angel, is happy to chat to people, understands her own problem and is improving in other subjects at school, all because of what this wonderful teacher has done. When I saw this beautiful girl do this I had tears in my eyes.

Most of the reactors are on it because of money they get by the views, It's not my case, I have depression and I use music as treatment, I had a bigger channel (15k of subs ) It was deleted by youtube due to copyrights strikes by SHANGHAI TV and Lara Fabian then I started all over again on this my brother's channel.. TH-cam has crazy rules, if you get your channel deleted they don't allow you having another channel as owner. It sucks!!!!

Great reaction. They really shot an incredible music video worthy of such an awesome performance as well. All of them standing on the dry, cracked ground in that desolate valley with the sun against the mountains as the backdrop fits perfectly with the feeling and of the song.

Yet another Pentaholic/new subscriber. Looking forward to more PTX reactions. The usual suspects have already been tossed out by other Pentaholix, so I'll suggest some of their original songs. (Yes, they are most famous for their covers, but they have their own music as well.) "Sing", "Can't Sleep Love", "Love Again", and "Run To You" are four of their originals with official videos on their channel, and all are quite different from one another, so they form an interesting framework for their talents. "Sing" starts with Scott belting out the first verse, and includes a rap by Kevin. The official video has lots of clips of fans, some of whom are pretty well-known (one of the stars of "Game of Thrones" is in there, as are internet stars Tyler Oakley and Todrick Hall). "Can't Sleep Love" is a catchy tune that will stick in your head (in the best possible way) for days, and the video is super bright and colorful. "Love Again" is genuine a cappella EDM with an insane beat from Kevin, soaring highs from Mitch, incredible lows from Avi, and a serious cyberpunk vibe from the wardrobe and makeup. Run To You is gorgeous, intricate five part harmonies (no beatboxing in this song). Although is is not an official video (from their channel) there is a performance of "Cracked" from iHeart radio that you'll want to see. Scott absolutely slays this song, with Avi's thumping bass helping propel it into orbit. (How's that for a mixed metaphor?) There are also live recordings of "Light In the Hallway", "Standing By", and "Water" that you could watch; each of those three songs are wonderful, and they all have special meaning for the PTX members who wrote or performed those songs.
Love your appreciation of their talent. They all have very special qualities that make them so great. They have over 16 million subscribers and are soon going on another world tour. Many of their fans are from Brazil, hopefully they'll make a stop there during the tour, fingers crossed. There are soooo many videos of theirs for you to choose from. Loved the reaction. Don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but Scott (the blonde man) is the one covering the bass part when Avi (bearded guy) is doing the melody. This song is how I found Pentatonix a few years ago - searching for Christmas music on TH-cam. Been hooked ever since. Did you get to see them when they toured Brazil last year? I have never seen them, but I am getting to see Avi Kaplan (former Pentatonix bass - the one with the beard in this video) who is doing solo work now. You reacted to Change on the Rise, but he is releasing an EP on 2/28 and touring in the US again now and then Europe again. I can't wait to go see him.

I still can't believe all that talent came from the same place. The beatboxer (Kevin) has perfect pitch, but planned to go to Medical school after graduating from Yale. Their story is amazing!!!

I love watching reaction videos to Pentatonix's Hallelujah! This is my favorite group, and my favorite song of theirs. Yes, they are amazing! Keep going with them. You'll be glad you did! Try another of their Christmas songs, Mary Did You Know. Absolute perfection. Loved your reaction too! So awesome to see someone else's first time hearing them, and seeing that it is just the same as my first time. This was my first song from them that I heard, and fell in love with them, and been following them ever since.
I really enjoy both your initial reaction to the song as it's playing, and your reflections afterward! Most of the reactors are on it because of money they get by the views, It's not my case, I have depression and I use music as treatment, I had a bigger channel (15k of subs ) It was deleted by youtube due to copyrights strikes by SHANGHAI TV and Lara Fabian then I started all over again on this my brother's channel.. TH-cam has crazy rules, if you get your channel deleted they don't allow you having another channel as owner. It sucks!!!!

Great reaction. They really shot an incredible music video worthy of such an awesome performance as well. All of them standing on the dry, cracked ground in that desolate valley with the sun against the mountains as the backdrop fits perfectly with the feeling and of the song.

The usual suspects have already been tossed out by other Pentaholix, so I'll suggest some of their original songs. (Yes, they are most famous for their covers, but they have their own music as well.) "Sing", "Can't Sleep Love", "Love Again", and "Run To You" are four of their originals with official videos on their channel, and all are quite different from one another, so they form an interesting framework for their talents. "Sing" starts with Scott belting out the first verse, and includes a rap by Kevin. The official video has lots of clips of fans, some of whom are pretty well-known (one of the stars of "Game of Thrones" is in there, as are internet stars Tyler Oakley and Todrick Hall). "Can't Sleep Love" is a catchy tune that will stick in your head (in the best possible way) for days, and the video is super bright and colorful. "Love Again" is genuine a cappella EDM with an insane beat from Kevin, soaring highs from Mitch, incredible lows from Avi, and a serious cyberpunk vibe from the wardrobe and makeup. Run To You is gorgeous, intricate five part harmonies (no beatboxing in this song). Although is is not an official video (from their channel) there is a performance of "Cracked" from iHeart radio that you'll want to see. Scott absolutely slays this song, with Avi's thumping bass helping propel it into orbit. (How's that for a mixed metaphor?)
There are also live recordings of "Light In the Hallway", "Standing By", and "Water" that you could watch; each of those three songs are wonderful, and they all have special meaning for the PTX members who wrote or performed those songs.
Love your appreciation of their talent. They all have very special qualities that make them so great. They have over 16 million subscribers and are soon going on another world tour. Many of their fans are from Brazil, hopefully they'll make a stop there during the tour, fingers crossed. There are soooo many videos of theirs for you to choose from. I just subscribed and turned on the bell notifications. Looking forward to seeing more.....

Loved the reaction. Don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but Scott (the blonde man) is the one covering the bass part when Avi (bearded guy) is doing the melody. They all are amazing singers, and Scott has one heck of a range.
Also, wanted to point out that if you listen to their live version of this, they sound almost exactly the same. It's insane.

I can help you. The lady is Kirsten. She is a mezzo soprano. The blonde guy is Scott. He is baritone. The black guy doing the rhythm is Kevin. He has a phenomenal range as well. The guy in the hat is Mitch. He is a countertenor. Last but not least is Avi. He is the bass of the group. He is probably the most talented bass singer I've ever heard.
Yes, the most gloriously beautiful version, & I also like the body percussion. But let us not forget the composer of this legendary song, the late great Leonard Cohen. This song is how I found Pentatonix a few years ago - searching for Christmas music on TH-cam. Been hooked ever since. Did you get to see them when they toured Brazil last year? I have never seen them, but I am getting to see Avi Kaplan (former Pentatonix bass - the one with the beard in this video) who is doing solo work now. You reacted to Change on the Rise, but he is releasing an EP on 2/28 and touring in the US again now and then Europe again. I can't wait to go see him.
