People dont seem to get the point of Scaled and Icy, it was meant to be less lyrically, but it's the hints in between the lyrics that set the narrative. Tyler is just good like that

@@CJPapan Paul only helped with Redecorate, which is, instrumentally, my favorite on the album. I think Tyler and Paul are a dream team... at least whatever they had going on with Trench was a masterpiece. I hope we get another Trench-like era because SAI wasn't really doing it for me... I mean aesthetically it was nice, but the music not so much.. 😔

WOW! Love this breakdown of the production process on Chlorine, Paul! Had no idea. My fav song on Trench and that’s largely due to the Outro which still makes me cry. 🥹The honesty of Tyler talking directly to us (I believe) after the 1 year hiatus that followed the huge commercial success of Stressed Out catapulted TØP into the limelight. One of my fav all-time TØP lyrics: “I’ve been tested like the end of a weathered flag that’s by the sea” followed by the deep “can you build my house…”
Just brilliant. Great production job, guys. I love it even more, knowing all that went into it 👏
