@@CapitaineElsasstheir video guy, Mark has been with the band since 2011. First show with TØP was 2010. Tyler joked and said if there was a 3rd member of TØP, it’d be him. But Paul has got to be a close second to that spot though
Paul Meany and TØP really is like chocolate and peanut butter. As much as I miss Mutemath, I'm so happy that he's been working with Tyler and Josh on all these projects.
How are more people not freaking out about all the beautiful production lore Paul Meany is spilling. These hidden gems are literally everything. Super important to better understanding the fundamentals of a Twenty One Pilots track.
dude fr!! when he did the next semester production peek, i was in awe because the only other one i knew about was when he did chlorine and it was so insightful ♾️
When the drum part hit the first time I listened to Overcompensate, I was impressed. But when the tempo changed my mouth actually opened. This is one of the coolest songs of the past 10-20 years.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I am overjoyed at what's been happening It's funny to think that back in 2015 when I first heard TØP, I likened them to Earthsuit. I thought they might even have taken some inspiration from them. Then came Paul's periscopes for some BTS of Vitals, where someone in the chat asked him what he thought of TØP--his answer was something to the effect of "they have the rare ability to take everything and make it work". Fast forward to today, look how much has happened. You're one of my all-time heroes, Paul! Can't thank you enough.
That nase was cookin alright. I'm going backwards through these posts because I'm a loser baby 🎶🎶🎶🎶 (Not really...those days are over) My poor daughter has so many of those nonsense voice memos from me. She doesn't work in music but man....that girl is all lights and sirens. Off topic but I really like that hat Paul. If I ever lose my hair, I'm gonna need one of those. A few too many dome strikes over the years. Sometimes you take it on chin sometimes you don't. When I fall down I fall straight down. Like a plank. Somehow, I've always ended up on my knees though. Thanks for all you do on these solo and group projects. Those kick out drums were brutal but perfectly placed. Really brought clarity to the rest of the piece.
Thanks for sharing your gift Paul with so many amazing artists Tyler especially. You guys' tracks have carried me through the years man and I thank you for that! ❣️🔥
I dunno what a ‘mellotron’ is but that sounded like the scene transition sound on the old Batman TV show! 😅 Love the ‘classic 90s electronic build-up’ intro on this song! 🔥 And every time I hear the tempo switch (when Clancy walks into the auditorium) I envision someone downshifting in a sports car. Brilliantly-executed song! 👏👏
No wonder Overcompensate sounds like a bit of an outlier compared to the following tracks. It was the first and earliest to be produced. That's no a complaint btw, just an interesting observation. I'd love to know the full chronological order in which the songs came about.
Paul are you doing okay cuz I saw you get flashed by a blue light a couple times and just wanna make sure aliens aren't doing an autopsy on you rn kay ly buddy keep pumping out kick ass pilots music
Paul Meany, my favourite member of twenty øne piløts.
And one of them is director of music videos also.
@@MikleSokoloff really ??

Meany is the 3rd member of the band as far as I'm concerned
chocolate
Dude, as soon as MM ended I discovered twenty one pilots, and then it just so happened the lead singer of MM became a member of twenty one pilots

seeing a major artist use logic is weirdly inspiring
Don't a lot of big artists use it?
Logic and protools are literally industry standard lol
Please do all of the songs on clancy , these videos are so good
1:24 lowkey wanted this chill isolated vibe from clancy
Hmmm 25 tracks you say?
The change in time is what pulled me right into this album. Love all of it! 👏🔥
Glad to see Paul collab with TOP

These really do need more views…
I really love this little inside in the production. So inspirational!
I’ve never listened to Twenty One Pilots, but I’ll put it on for that sweet Meany flavor.
you're in for a ride. His work on this latest record is chef's kiss. Be sure to check out Trench too
@@rstsdlnzms very unpopular opinion lol but to each their own
You two are pure magic together!
The master has surfaced
This man has made some of the greatest melodies ever with both Twenty One Pilots and Mutemath, so unbelievable.
Awesome music with his first group Earthsuit too!
Genius
you are a genius.
Genius ❤️🙌

love these breakdowns so much
Best track from Album)
LOVING the new album!
What about the machinery noises in the intro? I've always been really curious how those came about and what inspired them being in there
To me it sounded like a heavily processed recording of a horse neighing.
So so cool to see into your process on these songs! Please do more off Clancy, the production is immaculate
I need all the background on those “I feel alive”
Thanks for sharing your gift Paul with so many amazing artists Tyler especially. You guys' tracks have carried me through the years man and I thank you for that! ❣️🔥
I watched all your videos since I discovered your channel, it’s so cool to watch this as a twenty one pilots fan
Love this production bts. Please do more!
You guys are legend!
I won’t be able to unhear “beep beep beep beep beep beep” anymore 💀😂
Came out great
Hell yeah !!!! I love this
YEEAAA HE IS BACK
The GOAT
This video was edited by Josh Dun from Twenty Øne Piløts.
Love love love these videos!
PAUL I FW UR STUFF SO MUCH PLS TEACH ME
I think this song is more Paul Meany than anyone.
My younger brother after learning how to use capcut
Paul, say there will be 25 tracks on the deluxe album without saying it…..
Best song of Clancy. I wish this new álbum where more like Trench, but saddly this was not the case, only Overcompensate is more like trench
Would love to hear versions of tylers vocals and chords without all the production too. Every sample sounds so nice
Oh yah
What does Paul use to do Tyler's deep back vocals?
I'm guessing Little Alter Boy. Paul has mentioned use of it before and I know they use Soundtoys plugins. (ex: Decapitator on the bass in this song)
@@austinegy I think it could be, there is one from Waves who is a vocal bender, very interesting
@@austinegy I've also thought about the possibility of using Melodyne to do this backvocals

hey he looks like a nice guy

Who was speaking the different languages in the intro?
Just more proof we need stems
uhh paul we love this but the filters aint it

THAT SOUND IS JUST VOCALS BEEPS WTF
is the editing cryptic? what's going on? anyways, i love these videos from paul, they're so fun to watch!
There's definitely hidden stuff in the edits
cool but like what are these visuals lmao
bruh who edited the colors. stop it.

only good song in the album. thank you.
