Paul Meany and TØP really is like chocolate and peanut butter. As much as I miss Mutemath, I'm so happy that he's been working with Tyler and Josh on all these projects.
How are more people not freaking out about all the beautiful production lore Paul Meany is spilling. These hidden gems are literally everything. Super important to better understanding the fundamentals of a Twenty One Pilots track.
dude fr!! when he did the next semester production peek, i was in awe because the only other one i knew about was when he did chlorine and it was so insightful ♾️
When the drum part hit the first time I listened to Overcompensate, I was impressed. But when the tempo changed my mouth actually opened. This is one of the coolest songs of the past 10-20 years.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I am overjoyed at what's been happening It's funny to think that back in 2015 when I first heard TØP, I likened them to Earthsuit. I thought they might even have taken some inspiration from them. Then came Paul's periscopes for some BTS of Vitals, where someone in the chat asked him what he thought of TØP--his answer was something to the effect of "they have the rare ability to take everything and make it work". Fast forward to today, look how much has happened. You're one of my all-time heroes, Paul! Can't thank you enough.
Thanks for sharing your gift Paul with so many amazing artists Tyler especially. You guys' tracks have carried me through the years man and I thank you for that! ❣️🔥
Paul are you doing okay cuz I saw you get flashed by a blue light a couple times and just wanna make sure aliens aren't doing an autopsy on you rn kay ly buddy keep pumping out kick ass pilots music
No wonder Overcompensate sounds like a bit of an outlier compared to the following tracks. It was the first and earliest to be produced. That's no a complaint btw, just an interesting observation. I'd love to know the full chronological order in which the songs came about.
I dunno what a ‘mellotron’ is but that sounded like the scene transition sound on the old Batman TV show! 😅 Love the ‘classic 90s electronic build-up’ intro on this song! 🔥 And every time I hear the tempo switch (when Clancy walks into the auditorium) I envision someone downshifting in a sports car. Brilliantly-executed song! 👏👏
Paul Meany, my favourite member of twenty øne piløts.
And one of them is director of music videos also.
@@MikleSokoloff really ??

Meany is the 3rd member of the band as far as I'm concerned
chocolate
Dude, as soon as MM ended I discovered twenty one pilots, and then it just so happened the lead singer of MM became a member of twenty one pilots

seeing a major artist use logic is weirdly inspiring
Don't a lot of big artists use it?
Logic and protools are literally industry standard lol

I watched all your videos since I discovered your channel, it’s so cool to watch this as a twenty one pilots fan
Hell yeah !!!! I love this
LOVING the new album!
The master has surfaced
Came out great
amazing
YEEAAA HE IS BACK
you are a genius.
This man has made some of the greatest melodies ever with both Twenty One Pilots and Mutemath, so unbelievable.
Awesome music with his first group Earthsuit too!
Best track from Album)
The GOAT
I need all the background on those “I feel alive”
What about the machinery noises in the intro? I've always been really curious how those came about and what inspired them being in there
To me it sounded like a heavily processed recording of a horse neighing.
I’ve never listened to Twenty One Pilots, but I’ll put it on for that sweet Meany flavor.
you're in for a ride. His work on this latest record is chef's kiss. Be sure to check out Trench too
@@rstsdlnzms very unpopular opinion lol but to each their own
This video was edited by Josh Dun from Twenty Øne Piløts.
I think this song is more Paul Meany than anyone.
I see you got your editing skills from Tyler.
Paul, say there will be 25 tracks on the deluxe album without saying it…..
PAUL I FW UR STUFF SO MUCH PLS TEACH ME
Best song of Clancy. I wish this new álbum where more like Trench, but saddly this was not the case, only Overcompensate is more like trench
Oh yah
Would love to hear versions of tylers vocals and chords without all the production too. Every sample sounds so nice
Bro loves music
My younger brother after learning how to use capcut

Just more proof we need stems
hey he looks like a nice guy
Who was speaking the different languages in the intro?
The sound of the drums is incredible, but the performer catches my attention. who is it?
What does Paul use to do Tyler's deep back vocals?
I'm guessing Little Alter Boy. Paul has mentioned use of it before and I know they use Soundtoys plugins. (ex: Decapitator on the bass in this song)
@@austinegy I think it could be, there is one from Waves who is a vocal bender, very interesting
@@austinegy I've also thought about the possibility of using Melodyne to do this backvocals

is the editing cryptic? what's going on? anyways, i love these videos from paul, they're so fun to watch!
There's definitely hidden stuff in the edits
THAT SOUND IS JUST VOCALS BEEPS WTF
Epilepsy warning
FLASHING IMAGES WARNING, jfc. even if you're not epileptic this is basically impossible to watch.
bruh who edited the colors. stop it.
Bro used every CapCut effect
only good song in the album. thank you.
