I do my 'hive with a hair bun 'donut' accessory (from Sally's) and a small ponytail fall (from any wig shop). I make a small ponytail at my crown, thread the donut over it and secure with pins, lay the air fall over it and pin in place, put a section of hair from the top and each side over the top and pin, finally take hair from the sides and clip behind under the bump. Beehive in 10 minutes flat with no damage! But then I do mine on a regular basis both on and off stage. (I'm a bass player)

It makes me sad to hear the insensitive comments being made about Amy’s appearance. It also makes no sense. Why be hateful toward the woman who is inspiring the look itself? It costs nothing to be kind.

or make a tiny bun of your own hair then cover it with other hair those rollers are like velcro very hard to get off if they get tangled by going to sleep with it or trying to get out after dancing or anything that will move it around.

The problem with hair dressers that get a job in a high paying salon, they forget how to do a job with out 150 dollars worth of product! Amy Winehouse has a basic beehive achieved with a comb, bobby pins, and hairspray. I don't like hairstylist that tell my I can't achieve the same look with out the high price products!
Everybody has their own way of doing things. I'm sure since she is a professional hair dresser that she is doing something right. Not everybody does things the same. Even my little brother knows that.
