I absolutely love that he has the model do the steps herself after he explains it. Especially since it's from a professional brand. It's super helpful to see how someone would do it to themselves, versus having someone do it for you!

yaas I literally went in the comments to say just that!
Curvy grips for bobby pins. That is adorable. I wish I were English. Sounds so eloquent.
They are called Kirby grips in England :) x
It's Kerby grips xxx
I say hair slides and i am English 😂
It depends where you go hahaha
He said kirby not curvy.
Ive never seen a tutorial done so damn perfectly like I learned more from this 3 minute video than I have in the entirety of school
Fr. For the past four hours ive been trying to figure out hiw the fuck to do this for a cosplay. Could not figure it out. And now i can
I love how you got her to do some too. I can watch people do others' hair all day long, and it never makes it any easier to do my own hair. This was more helpful.
I love his voice *.* I also liked how he let the model try doing her own hair.
Totally agree on both :D
Ruth411ful I like how he did that it showed that we could do it too
Ok
Did he just call bobby pins "curvy grips"
he's british! :)
he from England! What'd you expect? :)
There are those kind of things that look like Bobby pins but not quite aren't because they don't meet at the end... Could he mean those or we def sure it's Bobby pins?
@@Janellabelle He means kirby grips (:
Kirby grips in England.
Rat (as they used to call it) it like crazy, spray until the whole room is full of hairspray. and comb into style. A largish angora sweater helps too.
I love it how he said “Lookin fab”
The model so beautiful.
i love that they make the model do somthing because it tells u can do it by yourself
A beautiful hairstyle in a very easy way...
Super beautiful hairstyle. We really need to start bringing proper hairstyles into fashion today's hair is mostly just a messy bland affair. See Celine...
Wear my hair like this nearly every day not cos it's a fad but I love the 60s hair clothes makeup and music it's a lifestyle....its sad when ppl ask where are you going somewhere nice? Just because your nit in track suit with dragged back hair and no make up...your so right ppl need to start looking smart and care about how they look.
Right! You should start by cleaning up your mouth, classy ladies are never catty. Though I shouldn't expect much from you, class isn't a virtue everyone can possess.
@@shenayduffy4043 Same goes for you, miss Duffy. Some class would do you good.
@@riel8428 agree
Thank you so much for this and it was so easy because my mum is a hairdresser so we had all the items and sprays
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It really helped me with my decade on decade day!
I love it.
I have to do this hairstyle for a competition
A little more zoomed in on the hair especially in the back when securing the ‘beehive’ would have been really helpful in the future!!! Thanks!
Love that look!!!!
Beautiful !
I love it I have to dress up as my favorite style from a decade I chose 60s I'm soo doing it thnks lots love
very very pretty!!
Thank you ❤
thank you ❤❤❤
Beautiful, love that style,I m going to try it..wish me luck with it lol ;/
beautiful,may try it
wonderful job
I don't know why vintage hairstyles were so damn hard to do. You can't even do it by yourself
Tryna learn to do this for the danc festival in school cuz our form is doing 1960's
Have fun brushing tht out.....
brilliant!
Hi I like u r hair style
I've had it done now
The hair is sooo pretty it just doesn't go with that outfit.
to Guccifer - KIRBY grips - it's a term used in the UK (and elsewhere)
I've never seen a male do hair tutorials before...I love it!
Lena Zhan like your profile pic :)
Saitama watching hair tutorials? 😂😂😂😂😂
I like cats tooooooooooo!
Love that he has her help so she learns how to do the hair style herself. DON'T love that he opens the bobby with his mouth!!!
im from England and i call grips 'bobby pins' and heated tongs a 'curler' lol
Oh wow
yes
nice
I wanna marry her, especially with that hair.
The girl looked better without the hairdo!
lol
i love tht! or u just could buy bumpits!!!! xx
we saw straightners.. heated tong sounds weird
I love love this style, but am afraid that backcombing will damage my hair. My hair is very fine.
حلوة
Great now my hair is all tangled and didn't even came out right, it wasn't helpful
Mine did not turn out that good haha
Tried it. Didn't work. I guess my hair's too long : /
No, Im english too and thats what I call them lol I thought what I called them was normal?!x
Hello friend
This is not a beehive. I used to style ladies hair into them in a salon.
Whos here because of kim jennie hairstyle?😐
Yeah..... That's what English people call it..
they cut every scene she 'does it herself' aaaaand.. CUT!
what is there to love about
It is an amazing hair style from a cool era soooooo beautiful
It looks like a tumour
Not helpful
This doesn’t work at all lmaoooo
No this is horrible it didn't work for me, just looked like a dog shat on my head then curled it to add some "finishing touches", very disappointed!
+Robyn Mcilveen idiot
"Now we're just gonna use some curvy grips"
American me: what
they are called kirby grips, same as your bobby pins.
Australian me: *not knowing what the fuck they were called at all until I was 11*
maccapigeon ok imagine feeling that way, but the majority of the time you search for tutorials
Even with my curly, frizzy mess of hair, I was able to do it. This is the best tutorial for this style I've used.
good, i have frizzy hair
Me with wavy hair sitting on my floor sobbing because it simply won't work
I absolutely love how she also gets a go at all the steps - it really does show that you can do the hairstyle on yourself =D
Hello friend
I tried to do this just now and I ended up having to cut a hair tie out of my head. At least my 60s inspired cut crease, winged liner, long lower lashes, and nude lip still looked bomb.
you are not even supposed to use hair ties. :D
Why would you have a hair tie...
What hair tie . . .
Hahah a old comment but I can't stop laughing. Sounds like me.
how did women in the 60s have time to do their hair everyday? or did they go to a salon every single day to get a blowout?
aruytpadyugf You'd be amazed how well a properly ratted and sprayed do stays put under a got bed hat or thick hair net.
My aunts would always go to salons to get their hairstyles and my uncles to get their perms lol
i love that he calls the bobby pins "grips" and a curling iorn a "heated tong" lol
I'm not sure this is actually a beehive per se. I lived through that era, and a real beehive was huge and sat atop your whole head. This here is what I like though cuz I want Duffy hair. lol
All those past vintage decades were just the cutest!!!!!!
I tried to do this..... and I look more like a cave woman than a 1960s star
Love this! I bought a cute summer vintage dress from the 60s off of Etsy and I think I can do this hairstyle when I wear the dress. Love the style of the 40s, 50s and 60s!
This is not a behive, at all. Behives are as wide as the head and are completely vertical. You did a bump.
who else thought it was a camel before you cliked on it
What?
I love the Bee hive hairstyle of the 60s wish it could come back
great way to get very tangled hair
Megan Seal
This is a amazing I am going to do that in my hair for my ancient Greece day
Ive been shitting myself the past four hours trying to style a cosplay wig like this
"lookin' FFAB!" i love him now hahah
I love it when you teach and don’t watch videos where someone else does the whole thing. Thumbs up. I think I’m going bigger for the stage. Ohh I also think it good you didn’t use a teasing comb or anything most wouldn’t have at home.
That horrorable/annoying moment when your a greaser but have super curly hair. And can't do any vintage hairstyles. like omg! my boring hair just ruin my look😤😭
Everything in the sixties was awesome. Why did it degrade into this? Nothing has class like the sixties did.
Marius yeh i agree with u everything in the 60’s were classy i feel like i’m stuck in the 60’s i’m obsessed over short dresses and beehives
Um not everything did u forget racism and other prejudice were more common back then?
@@trini2DBone134 I feel that's kind of another lane?
Hi Lana fans 👋
Cute Beehive Hairstyle and I like it. 😍😍😍😍😊❤❤❤❤💖💖💓💓💓💓💘💘💘💘
i like that he has her participate in styling her hair
This was probably the best professional tutorial I’ve ever seen 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I've done it before. It's really easy for me to do. I long/medium length hair.
when i go to tease my hair it naturally parts and makes the hive look split. how do you keep that from happening?
Is it just me that calls grips hair clips and "heated tongs" curlers :P and I'm from England as well
I call them Kirby's and a curler I'm from Scotland
bobby pins sounds stupid to us
C'était Brigitte Bardot qui avait créé cette coiffure dans les années 60.
I don't like back combing hair...there has to be another way?
Don't worry! I call them that too, I'm from England as well.
she is so gorgeous! She has perfect hair to begin with!
Yeah...That's what WE call it. You know we DO usually call 'em bobby pins ans curling irons, it just depends where ur from. He's from posh London so he would say the posh words for 'em
Can the teasing knot your hair?
If you tease is really hard and roughly, yes. But if you do it lightly there won't be bad knots
Yeah, just wash it with loads of conditioner and brush it out while the conditioner is still on, makes it so much less painful to brush out :)
This is so simple and quick to do for evening out.
Hello friend
Coming back in 2024 to learn how to do this again ❤
So simple and helpful... looked great when I did it! Thanks!!
Hello friend
I hate what a flyaway mess it is in the back. Not a smooth hair in sight. Ghastly.
I can’t believe he opened the grip with his teeth. Yuck.
As a student in hair school never use youre mouth to open the pins.
The 1960s, wow, what a Fuzzy decade!, It is the decade of Fuzzy heads because
it had a whole bunch of Fuzzy heads of hair back then and yes same thing with
the 1950s, 70s, 80s & of course, yes the 90s too, all of those decades just had the fuzziest
heads of hair!!!!!!
lovely, But for US Americans that don't know the word for a few things ....a ( GRIP ) is what we call a ( Bobby Pin) . And a (Tong ) is what we call a (Curling Iron) . :-)
