  • Taylor makes the most beautiful guitars in the world. We are comparing different versions of the PS (Presentation Series) Grand Auditorium so that you can hear them back to back. Which one sound best to your ear?

🔵 the sinker redwood is my favorite top for my lighter finger style play ; I own one guitar in sinker redwood (Patience) and it is phenomenal with a light touch.
I'd take either of those two PS14 ❕🐸
i also own a Taylor PSGA in Cocobolo /Sitka and although it is phenomenal looking with the older sysmetrical torch inlay along the fretboard , unfortunately it is not a great sounding guitar with the heaviness of the cocobolo holding the vibration of the gorgeous top in check ❕🆘

The cocobolo they made a couple of years back was by far the best sounding PS14 they made. The brazilian rosewood and blackwood were close seconds.

Just bought an 814ce sinker redwood with rosewood back/sides. Great for fingerstyle, terrible for strumming. The new V-bracing doesn't work well for strumming IMHO and kills the volume and overtones. The guitar is also way too heavy to really resonate. The integrated (non-replaceable) graphite nut that's tied into the neck binding leaves one scratching his head. Other than that, I love it.

I cannot believe they put those cheap plastic knobs on a $10,000 guitar.
