  • Yasir Qadhi explains the benefits, blessings and significance of the last two verses of chapter two (Baqarah) of the Quran.
It was narrated from Abu Mas'ood al-Ansaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever recites the last two verses of Soorat al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him." Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5009) and Muslim (2714). Ibn al-Qayyim said in al-Waabil al-Sayyib (132): They will suffice him against any evil that may harm him.
It was narrated that 'Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:
"I did not think that any sane person could sleep without reciting the last three verses of Soorat al-Baqarah."
In al-Adhkaar (220), al-Nawawi attributed it to the report of Abu Bakr ibn Abi Dawood, then he said: It is saheeh according to the conditions of al-Bukhaari and Muslim.

Better you read it in salah e.g in first rakka of fard salah after Fatiha and in the second rakka you may read Surah Ikhlas or other surah. This way you will be always reciting it . Try to pray tahajjud and then you can add it to tahajjud salah as well. You will be inshaAllah in its Baraka for life. Wallahu Alamo bissawab.

I suggest you use transliteration and read it along as you play it. Eventually you will get use to it inshAllah. Until then, focus on learning basic Arabic reading and writing if you really want to read it in Arabic. To read it in transliteration go here: quran.com/2/285-286 and then click on Transliteration on the left hand side. Hope that helps.

Salaamu alaikum. I agree with you 100%, lilaahi = it all belongs to Allah. Therefore when say "Al-Hamdu lilaahi" we are saying "THE PRAISE BELONGS TO ALLAH" Then how do we ALSO say that the name Muhammad means "one who is praised much". I think that it actually means "one who praises much" Because if we believe that the name Muhammad means "one who is praised much" there is something wrong there because of the statement Al-Hamdu lilaahi. The Praise Belongs to Allah, it is His. No Hamd for Anyone but Allah.
Now let me ask you "What is a FREE slave"?? That is an impossible statement.

Asalaam aleikum my brother don't use the word kill as this word sounds more cruel and Allah is AR Rahman AR Rahim instead say may Allah take our soul when He is pleased with us.

May Allah reward this Imam exellent pseach but I find one mistake in 8:45 jannah is not in hieghts heaven according to hadith cause if we kompare kursi with 7 heavens is as we through ring in dessert and if we compare ARSH with KURSi is if we through a ring in the dessert I can be wrong too cause don't know the status of the hadith as I know ias imama said paradise is under Arsh but Arsh is biond kursi and heavens meaning paradise is not even in the 7 heavens.
    Wassalam.
