This feels like a video game from an alternate universe, almost, and I kind of like that vibe. Strange cartoon/fairy tale imagery, but the same is true of Mario itself!
Hey, thats my Romhack! Thank you so much for playing, I hope you had fun! After 2 years of work, it feels good to see it on internet. This means so much to me, thank you. Also, very nice thumbnail!
Lore: The Kingdom of the Reptiles and Amphibians, ruled at the time by King Gimpwart of the Alligators and his queen consort Queen Gimpette, found itself in a horrible war against the demons. The Kingdom won the war but it costed the lives of not only a massive ammount of reptiles and amphibians; but also it's King, Queen and even the Crown Prince Gimp. Unbeknownst to everyone, the demons had placed a curse upon the 3. The King and the Queen were condemned to become suffering souls while Prince Gimp got the brunt of the curse, becoming an extremely bloodthirsty and psychotic undead aswell as the central victim of the curse. Gimp then went in search of the Magic Cooking Pot; for it could make him ascend, complete his resurrection or simply to cook his victims and eat them. For his plan to work, he began to build an army. Firstly, he brought the fallen soldiers from the War against the Demons back to life in the form of bloody skeletons, floating skulls and also retrieved the fearful ghost robo-dragons. Secondly, he went on to take control of General King Gator and his army and creatures, said possession caused them to also become psychotic and bloodthirsty. Thirdly, he captured (and possibly ate) Queen Qarp's daughter to make her sell her army, machinery, kingdom (possibly) and sanity in exchange of him helping her find her daughter, which was nothing but a trick. He finally added pokémon on his army as the cherry of the cake. Goobie must now retrieve the Magic Cooking Pot, undo the curse and stop the bloodshed that Gimp is causing.
Carrots for coins? A goose Yoshi? Little idol god statues for goals? Useless Gimp coins trying to do the job of the Dragon coins on Super Mario World? And a lizard Mario? A strange hack, but awesome 😎!!!!!!
Seems like a lot of otherwise complete snes rom hacks don't change sound effects. Is there a technical barrier that makes this more difficult than music and graphics?

You did such a cool job
You did a great job! I can't wait to play this!
I liked playing it! It's whole story and aesthetic reminds me of the nes sanrio games, hope to see more from you.
I tried to DL, but the site wouldn't let me register. Why is this considered adult content? Anyone wanna E-mail me the rom/patch?
The levels are a bit simplistic but the music choices are top notch
A romhack with original graphics that turns into a very dark in a twist of events.
Awesome.

That SNES style Pokemon music is incredible!
For Azalea Town, I think it's Terranigma's soundfonts.
Loving the DKC style end level theme, nice one
Well done
Slap this on a SNES cart and I'd buy it.
