This was my favourite cartoon growing up. I loved the show and the theme music so much that I treated myself to the remastered DVD box set a few years ago. Cost me £30!!!! The pennies were totally worth it though
A catchy as hell, piece de resistance of a theme chOOn! On tv when children’s BBC was all about Phillip Scofield, Andy Peters and Andy Crane presenting cult classics, such as this, from inside a broom cupboard with G the gopher! Unbeatable! Loved it in the 80’s and love it more now!
The best part about this song is the barking. It's been about 30 years since I first saw this cartoon, I still find myself barking the theme song once in a while. lol

1) still sounds like they're singing "kids are pretty corny" (thanks to the children ITV presenter who pointed that out way back in 198thing) 2) never noticed how much the lyrics are a celebration of drinking, fighting & having a sing-song. 3) arrgh the ear worms 4) must resist clicking the link to the Willy Fog theme song.
Omg am literally bawling I search for this song forever and finally found it as a child I would ran in front of the tv on a Saturday as soon as this cartoon came on to sing along and watch this precious cartoon series there is no other childhood like the 80s and 90s😢😊😊
My First Daughter would calm down and go to sleep when this song was played, she was 4 or 5 months old (about 1994) at the time, she will be 26 years old this December, and it still stops her in her tracks when she hears it. She even borrowed my last cd with it on, and she's not returned it, lol. (I wonder why)?
I did start the second hour of a radio show with this - I regularly slipped things like this in at the start of hour 2 - I referred to it as our moments of Zen. This and postman pat were the most popular!! But I think you are right, it needs a remix and a pounding beat - didn't someone do something similar with the old inspector gadget theme?
Brilliant! Johnny from BBC Comedy Two Pints of Larger and a Packet of Crisps, epipisode 2 Vomit brought me here when an ill Johnny describes his fav childhood tv songs his um used to sing to him when he was ill aha

Me too, a flurry of memories in a 3 minute tune :)
well hellor fellow muskahound 😁😁😁
Just listened to this for the first time in about 35 years.

AH yes, that 'ears pricks up', freeze in motion. / I know that tune moment.
I tortured a guy playing this for DAYS once. Years even. Good song. 😂 😂 😂

But the Finnish version is (even) better!

yes my brother same here man
damn im getting teary, wheres my childhood has gone :(
It's still here on this time machine called TH-cam.
being a teenager in the 80s used to watch this. quite a catchy tune, also like mask, cops, centurions and he-man, and many more best cartoon era
Cops was awesome! Being a kid at the time I could never figure out why Mr. Meaner was a woman then I got older and realized it was Miss Demeanor!
Show was 20 mins long... 10 mins intro song, 5 mins recapping previous episodes, 1 min of weird, new facial expressions, 4 mins end theme.
A bit like Rocket Robin Hood in that respect!
Perfection.
Never knew there was a full-length version of this. You just made my day!

I don’t know why I grew up watching this, I was born 2006, But I LOVED THIS CARTOON
Love this theme..always reminds me of when my children were little

I'm having this played at my funeral.
You have taste.
has it really been so long? so many memories of a bygone youthful age.
Absolute banger from my childhood
This series was a better representation of the Musketeers story than that recent abomination on the BBC.
Me too.
No surprises there then. The BBC are an insidious thing anyway.
The BBC is an abomination now.

That Middle 8 is fucking Gold mate. Minor Chords are so powerful. But that little synth line really adds depth.
Brilliant 🤓
It’s the key change for me
is that from 1:50 with the dagha-han-dagha-han start to each line

Why has no one popped this little gem into a house music version? This will go down well in over 40s nights in nightclubs across the country 🤣

Kids: "Are we a joke to you?"
I've watched this cartoon over 100 times when i was 6 years old, up until 12. Sry for my grammar 😅😪
Yep..Saturday night on week 4 of lockdown.. 👍🏻
Wow so many memories off the back of this show!
Nothing beats the classics and i played this tune to 5 year-old he thought it was 💩. Kids these days have no interest in the classics.
what I find funny is the intro and exit of cartoons back in the day are as long as the whole programme nowadays.😃
You've made my day. Thank you.
So happy they've kept the theme for the new 3D film and given it an epic scale upgrade.
I want to wacth it again!!
ok take me back to time now.... i miss them so much :'(.... thank you for uploading this video :)

When I was small I thought the "One for all and all for one!" sounded like dogs barking and I think it was meant to be like that ^^
Yeah, I used to think it said "wuff-a-woof and woof- a-wuff" 😊
They even did and referenced it in the sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
Season 2 ep 4 ;)
