2013 Ford Focus S Walkaround, Start up, Tour, Overview and Review

Just a quick video of the loaner I had last week when I was getting some work done on my car. I swear Ford makes their base models awful looking so you buy the nicer one.

17 year old here, this is was, and still is, my first car. I’ve been driving her for a little over a year now and I personally think it’s an amazing first car. I had a little trouble with the transmission for a little bit but it was nothing the warranty couldn’t cover. Overall, i’d give the car a 8/10 not only is it reliable but it drives nice too. Only issue would be with the transmission, but it’s common in Fords. Again, amazing first car

The Ford Focus is a blast to drive with the manual gearbox. The dealership I work at has a 2012 Focus SE that's red. I've driven it a few times and have to say that it totally brings the car to life.

YouDontWannaFightMe The clutch in the manual is a little grabby and light (its obviously for people who aren't good at driving manual) but the gearbox is PERFECT and overall it really wakes the car up and makes it A LOT of fun.

You'll take that center stack over the MyFord Touch well the only reason I would want the MyFord Touch is simply the 10 speaker Sony system. Vehicles in my opinion are build these days to please the customer not just with first impressions of it but lasting impressions. I want to enjoy my vehicle every single time I sit in it. That being said, the 2012-2016 Ford Focus Titanium with the manual gearbox, the sunroof and the ambient lighting is in my opinion the perfect machine that would make me happy every single time I drive it. Oh by the way this Thursday I'm buying the rare 2012 Focus Titanium with the 5 speed in it.

I am going to look at a left over new left over 17 base model with manual. I think it is 6 speed now. The asking is just over 11k. If I can get it in the mid 10 grand range, I am going to strongly consider it. Sounds like a really sweet deal. The Toyota iA left over is $13500. I think this might be an even better deal. Got 2 car seats, looks a little tight in back, but I think I can work with it. Without it looking too cheesy, I will see what kind of wheels might be avail. More likely just locate some nicer SE or higher trim models ones on the cheap.

For that price with a manual I'd say its completely worth it. Most of the quality issues these early builds had have been improved by now and the powershift automatic was really my only complaint with the car otherwise. Also I've had a few friends that owned manual ones and you can easily hit 40 MPG with them.

I fixed up my 92 VW GTI 16v, put a couple grand into it. Owned since 99, so I knew what it was all about. IN a year I will relook at these base Focus S cars as well as a CPO 3 year old 2015 Corolla LE my friend will be returning on Lease this August. I figured, if I can get a good deal on her green Corolla, It would be a better long term car, if not particularly fun to drive. I like them, though. They seem like very good cars. I have not dealt with someone taking back a lease and me trying to buy it.. not sure how that will work? But it will have 20k on it likely. Nothing.

I'd like to make a correction, what you think are tweeters are just covers for the tweeters to go in a nicer model focus ( they pop right off) When I found that out I was like "ford you tricky bastards"
