Made the mistake of getting 'crepe' paper from a retail store before I knew what to look for and it is more like tissue paper! Any ideas how to use it all up/ can I double or treble the thickness? I made the same mistake too haha 😅 I'm finding it really useful for making the insides of the flowers. It depends on the design, but some need a cone shape, or tear-drop shape etc for I think it's called the stamen? The bit where the pollen is. I fold thr 'crepe' paper into a strip, glue it to the wire (rounding the top really helps), and wrap around to the desired shape. It's also useful for creating a shape underneath the petals like the rounded hip of the rose, and then cover with floral tape or green crepe. I've also been using it as wrapping paper for gifts 😂 Good luck! Don't throw it out, I'm continually finding new uses for it! And in a pinch, if the world goes mad again and panic buys toilet paper, I'm sure it would suffice (as long as it's non toxic 😬🤪)
At craft stores in the floral section, I've seen something that's like a wire with a large-ish pearl on the end. I think that would look pretty as the center. Do you think that's doable, or does this flower need to have a center as large as what you show?

I like the technique of half leaf, wire then half leaf - held together with bead of glue. Creating a realistic easy enough leaf! Simplicity
