Excellent flashback in time. Fabrizio from Italy taught boxing to so many locals and foreigners. Tiger Boxing School in Chapora. I remember the tall and handsome Jules Maxwell from the UK. Another legend. Sonia from Badem was their protege. Beautiful memories.❤
Wow what a great interview with the real Goan couple.. i live in Anjuna. Me and Antonio were in the same school in Anjuna..now Antonio kids and my kids are in the same school now ... Such lovely guy he is...
Very beautiful interview. I'm from goa myself and I totally agree what they said. It also makes me sad when I hear about rape cases, drugs etc.. The name of goa gets spoilt.
We’ve been coming to Vagator for 20 years, and we can honestly say that Blue Bird offers the warmest and most beautiful atmosphere we’ve ever experienced. Such a special family! And let’s not forget Antonio’s cooking, easily the best in the area. Warm regards, Paolo and Nicoleta from Italy
Thanks for letting us step back into our happy simple and yet totally enjoyable lives as Goans. That's the Goa we are all craving for. Took years to build it and it has gone in a blink of the eye😢😢😢😊😊😊
What a fantastic job Jenny and Adam. Such a wonderful video.....i wish TH-cam would promote this video!! Such a wonderful conservation.i too want a simple quiet vacation with the peopl. This has inspired me to go to Goa as soon as i can.
I've been visiting blue bird for the last 15 years. Antonio & Janet are such lovely people. I love going upstairs and chill-out on those big sofas eating great food. They call me Mr Lee
I've made so many local friends from small vagator. It's where I stay every time I come. I think it's the best place to stay in Goa. It's very clean and quiet. But it's changed quite a lot and I do feel for the locals who have to put up with the very loud parties that go on all night.
Excellent interview. Being from Assagao a village very close to Vagathor I spent many happy holidays in a bungalow on the beach that my father would rent from the landlord Dr. Armand Braganza the doctor of our village. Still have some beautiful shells picked up from the then pristine beach at low tide. Sand was white, water crystal clear, tiny shellfish could be collected in a handkerchief as the tide ran out and boiled for an incredibly tasty mid morn soup. Indeed those were the days my friend. Thanks to the Italian couple for organising this interview and to Antonio and Janet for the clear picture they have provided for non Goans of the way it used to be. My village has also been taken over by the "Delhi people" and has lost its soul.
AWESOME VIDEO!!! So nicely done. I would like to stay with this couple. Thank you for showcasing them so I know where to stay when I go to Goa. Thank you for helping the local businesses. I feel sorry for the local Goan people with Liberation the Indians are taking over their homeland.
I grew up in arpora the neighbouring village which had it's first English school in Goa 150 years. ANJUNA I remember 1976 the then foolmoon partis ,there were like Woodstock then, some of the best musicians played there , we knew the fender, and gibsons equipment then! Dont be surprised the Beatles visited ANJUNA! Disguised
A very thougtful video to b asking d local Goan of their comparative views of life before & now. And I can truly say, they were 200% absolutely correct. One could see through their (every Goan) sadness in d present deteriorating scenario, with outsiders literally grabbing & taking over, but they can never ever get d unique goan culture into them, which makes all d difference. Imagine train loads from uncivilised lands coming in daily with migrant labour, & who r mostly notorious with shady backgrounds resulting in rampant chain snatching, house robberies, rapes, murders, drunkeness, encroachments. And, so out of disgust all these mis-behaved non-goan migrants r locally termed as Ghantees. After liberation of Goa from d Portuguese in 1961, unlike India in 1947, Goa was forcible attacked by Indian forces & attached as part of India, Goa was still peaceful till around d1990's, but all this nuisance has started & grown with d Politician-Police-Judiciary-Bureaucrats, Hotel-Builder nexus with each grabbing d flesh of Goa & Goans.
