The Best Mods of The Year - Xcom 2 WOTC (2024)

- Hey what's up TH-cam, in todays video we are going to be looking at the top mods of the year! If you guys did enjoy the video a like and subscribe is always appreciated. Like seriously it takes two seconds :)

Coming up at number 10 we have the Still Stop Wasting My Time mod. This mod increases the speed on the geoscape including
everything from scanning to movement by three times and makes many slow ability animations much quicker such as
-launch grenade with a grenade launcher
- psi abilities
- gremlin abilities
- spectre abilities
- holotargeting
- pickup/drop units
- teamwork
This mod is by far one of my favorites this year and honestly once you play with this mod it is impossible to go back
Next up at number 9 we have the Choose My Class mod. This is a handy mod for making your soldiers actually be the class you
assigned them to be while also having two other choices just in case you need to diversify your soldiers. One of my favorite
parts about Xcom is customizing soldiers to be the exact way you want them and I found myself very annoyed when a soldier
would be a completely different class than the one I assigned them.
At number 8 we have Point-Based Not Created Equal. This mod gives every single one of your soldiers random stats like
Aim, Movement speed, health, etc. This mod is awesome because it gives every soldier a unique stat tree that brings all
the characters to life. Just remember the only way to select this mod is when you create a new campaign so make sure you
don't forget to enable it.
Coming in at number 7 we have Gotcha Again. This mod improves the Line of Sight indicators that are shown when previewing
moves in the game. Some indicators include a squad sight indicator, a flanking indicator, hacking indicators, and more!
This mode helps you to reduce the amount of dumb mistakes you make in your playthroughs showing you all the information
you need!
Next up at number 6 we have Overwatch all and Evac all. These 2 mods help the quality of life while you are in missions so
you no longer have to Overwatch everyone individually. With the press if a button all soldiers will Overwatch/evac. This is
another mod that I think once you try out you will never be able to play without it.
We have made it halfway through the video and coming up at number 5 is the Chimera Classes mod. This mod is dedicated to
creating dynamic squad selection choice for Xcom. This mod disables the vanilla classes and replaces them with 10
unique, role-specific classes that adds much needed depth to mission loadouts. Originally used in a complete overhaul mod,
this mod now works with hundreds of community perks and long war content. Some classes include
Assualt, Commando, Demolitions, Gunner, Hacktivist, Inferno, Marksman, Psionic, Shinobi, and support with mostly revamped
perks and abilities!
At number 4 we have the Squad Based Roster mod. This mod attempts to import more focus on maintaining cohesive squads of
soldiers who go on missions together, As soldiers go on missions together they earn various stat bonuses as their
camaraderie increases as well as granting them powerful perks later on. This is a great mod that allows your soldiers
to create bonds and kick ass together.
We have finally made it into the top 3 and these mods have made Xcom into the game it is today. At number 3 we have the
Soldier Development mod that allows a way for soldiers to develop their stats on missions by executing certain actions during
combat or performing well on the battlefield. With this mod it is possible to increase the following stats in missions
Aim, Hacking, Mobility, Will, and Combat Intelligence. It is also possible to gain extra ability points by getting a
Flawless rating on a mission.
At number 2 we have Maps by Vozati. This mod adds 33 different maps, all unique and different looking to the game creating
more and more scenarios where things can either go bad or good. If you are a veteran Xcom player you know the same map pools
by heart creating scenarios that are predictable and can cause some players to lose their love for the game. This mod fixes
that problem by adding some of the best looking maps i've seen been made by a Modder.
And finally guys at number 1 we have Capnbubs Accessories Pack. This mod adds several new customization options to the game
and I think that this is what makes Xcom Xcom, The ability to lose yourself in creating the most unique soldiers possible
is amazing and the icing on the cake is this mod that allows you to create your soldiers exactly how you would like them! - เกม

I download all the mods of the descryption and when i try to shoot a enemy the game freeze
[WOTC] Capnbubs Accessories 2022 reduces the file size so shoot for that if it's a concern (some don't have as more performance or space allocation).
Thanks for the video. The mods are great but one of them is causing an error when the Chosen attacks the Avenger. After selecting the squads, the misson does not start and the camera remains stuck as if looking up from below the ground. Only the ESC key works. I have disabled the maps mod but the problem persisted. It's a pitty.

We need more "UPDATED" xcom 2 mod videos like this. Quick question, anyone know how i clean out the mods from the built-in mod launcher? I cant seem to get rid of them. Side note: I know MMM is better, but im so over the advanced modding and just want to play the game without MMM with just a few mods.
Make sure the mods are unsubscribed on steam and try clicking the refresh button on the mod list in the mod launcher

Sadly yes. Most of the newer mods only work with wotc

@@gutscuts0 So, I just finished a speed run through vanilla. I am getting ready to play WotC for the first time. I am going to use some of the mods in your list, but I have a question that maybe you can answer.
Is there aist somewhere that details the new or fixed game mechanics that were introduced in WotC? I have tried doing due diligence and finding such a list, but I have found nothing really helpful. I have read that supposedly WotC introduced new stuffs , but also fixed old bugs and incorporated some fan based mods that fixed things or were QoL fixes. I just don't want to go grabbing mods that might not be needed because things got fixed.
If you have any ideas thanks. If not thanks anyway for at least reading this. Love you series..

@@LakituKoopa stop the cap (hat). XCOM 2 is a great modern remaster of the original game however its not perfect and honestly expecting it to be would be surprising.
