What are the basic troubleshooting steps to figure out it is a regulator? I see a lot of videos and forums about switches
and relays. Basically, my car window goes down then I raise it by hand using the motor to keep it in track. So motor works and switch works, seems most likely to be regulator. Am I correct?

My question is this, you said that you’ve heard there can by issues when disconnecting the airbag sensor, what are those problems? What are the symptoms? Any solutions? Reason I ask, I have a 2016 sonata se, I have replaced the switch, motor, and the regulator panel. In that process I have in fact disconnected the airbag sensor but thought nothing of it because there has not been any impact or accident damage. And despite replacing all three major components in the rh front door it still does not move up or down. The fuse checks out just fine, there’s power to the switch in the up and down position, and there’s power to the motor in the up and down position. So I’m left wondering what could possibly be the problem now. And the only possible idea I have at this point is that little thing you said about the impact sensor possibly having a problem. But of course I can not find anything on the interweb that would shed light on this problem. So here I am, hat in hand, begging for you to enlighten me.

Not related to the airbag sensor. Do you have BOTH switches plugged in. If one switch is unplugged neither switch will work. Beyond that come on down to Tampa, Fl. I'll take a look.

@@PowerUpAuto it is a one switch design that has both the lock/unlock and the window switch connected together and only one connector, the lock/unlock works just fine but no response from the window. Kinda tough to get to you being all the way out in Sacramento, Ca. Although I am originally from Florida and some of my favorite times as a young adult was while I was living in Apollo Beach.

So BOTH window switches ARE plugged in?

My window won’t go up .
Is it the window regulator or the motor?
