It’s so dope seeing a girl like you work on a sick car, I have much respect for you because you don’t see this that much anymore. Keep up the great work. I love the car.
The reason that one screw that holds the rotor to the hub strips a good 80% of the time is one that screw goes through many forms of heating up and cooling down so that there brakes down the material screws made out of and two normally that screwed is always lock tight in... get out you'll need the right tool just for that one screw...depending on how bad u striped it most cases u just drill them out....I don't ever use that screw to hold the rotor on cuz the force from the rim bolted on the hub does the job as needed
Hi Raquel, great video! You may have done it off camera, but make sure to torque your lug nuts per wheel / car manufactures torque specs. If you don't (the lug nuts on each wheel not tightened evenly) that's one way a rotor can warp. Have a good day.
Hey Rachael…. Respect to you Just a little tip … Instead of hanging off the bar… When undoing bolts get the socket/bar on and tap with a hammer to break the seal… 👍 good job
One little tip that could save you some pain aways put the rim under the car if it were to fall the rim would catch it you can replace an rim but not a you!!!!
I recently did a big brake and rotor upgrade and the bolts holding the calipers to the knuckle took forever for me to loosen so I felt your pain lol the torque screw in the middle of the rotor was a bit of an issue too but a little WD-40 and patience helped me get through it without stripping the bolts
When installing new rotors most of the time you have to get them turned by a brake shop mainly because they may have a coating on the them to protect them from rusting
fyi- doesn't necessarily matter the direction of the slots/holes, it's if the cooling vanes on the inside of the rotor are directional for cooling. They will be slanted if they are directional for cooling and straight if they are not. Not that big of a deal if they are backwards, just won't get optimal cooling of the rotor. Directional cooled rotors are more for road circuit racing than drag/Street use
Torquing your lug nuts will keep the rotors from warping and giving you that vibration in your steering wheel during braking not to mention using ceramic brake pads along with them again just an FYI and don't forget to torque your caliper bolts usually 65 to 85 lb it also makes a difference in the way the rotors grab
Never been much a mechanic or handy person but gotta tell ya just something about a woman knowing/working on cars 😍, ive learned a few things watching your channel. Im going to start this summer learning to work on my motorcycle...
Hey girl! Mad luv 4 u and that u r into cars and working on your own stuff! Little tip, when taking off them star or whatever the may be screws u should always put the socket in and hit it with a hammer to break em free!
A little tip on removing the set screw on your rotors spray some Lube on the screw tap it with hammer then you can use the torx bit and then take it off .
I was just talking about you at work yesterday. So jealous that you can do all those mods. Here in California you'd be begging on your knees trying to get cleared for a smog. Love your channel and those calipers sick btw.
I love your car, it has been nice watching it transform into what it is now. Those rotors are actually on the wrong side though. The groves are supposed to go the other way. The slot is designed to help wipe away any dirt or water and push the debrie to the outside of the rotor. The way you have it mounted it would push towards the center of the wheel.
Awh it’s actually the correct way, it’s not about the slots it’s throws people off but it’s about the internal vanes! I read the directions and even talked to the company
put a couple lug nuts on your rotors to hold them in place before you reinstall the rotor, this will keep you from jacking up your pads and make it much easier. After your caliper is on, remove the lug nuts. btw they don't have to be tight, just snug.
Sometimes when you put on new pads and do not have your rotors turned, you will get a shake when braking. It is important to get the rotors turned when you do your brakes to keep that from happening. It's because over time the rotors get warped and the new pads exaggerate that issue. But maybe the slotted/drilled rotors can't be turned. 🤔 But love the vids!
Great video your channel has definitely has helped me with alot of my projects on my 2010 2ss. I am wondering what suspension you run because I like your fitment setup
Hi Raquel, nice work on the vid. Did the rotors that you installed on the left side meant to go on the right side? I just wondered due to the way they were drilled and cut. Nice job as always girl.
U just seem like such a likable person, it's pretty cool how ya just jack it up and get to it. No fear! Also, the daddy's money stuff was funny too, people can be so stupid sometimes...lol

Raquel good formative video & what is the brakes did u put on your Camaro & do u have the website to it. I want to up grade my brakes also & want to see if they have anything for a older truck
Videos like this are bad for me. Now I need to go find something to work on 😂. Seriously tho, props to you for doing your own wrenching! Oh, and they dumb screws disappear when I change rotors!
When you’re speaking of left side and right side picture it as you always sitting in the driver seat. Left side is the driver side right side is a passenger side. You had it right.
If you felt the shacking in the steering wheel when braking and not when brakes aren't applied. Just means front rotors are warped. Also the pads are prob fine but they are broken into those rotors. Really should get new ones so everything breaks in the way they should.
It’s so dope seeing a girl like you work on a sick car, I have much respect for you because you don’t see this that much anymore. Keep up the great work. I love the car.

One thing you can try, use a lug nut to hold the rotor in place when putting the caliper back on. Those rotors look nice btw!!!
Hi Raquel, great video! You may have done it off camera, but make sure to torque your lug nuts per wheel / car manufactures torque specs. If you don't (the lug nuts on each wheel not tightened evenly) that's one way a rotor can warp. Have a good day.
I put on Baer’s SS4 2.0 drag brakes on my mustang. The quality is amazing, they saved 98lbs in total on my car, and the calipers look amazing.
Love the channel, but I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the front fenders. I thought it looked better when everything was blue. Just my opinion.
I have to say I'm a huge fan of the front fenders. I think it looks awesome with the car blue and having the contrast. Just my opinion tho
Neither of y'all's opinions are warranted it's not your car who cares what you like it's her car

I never dreamed I would enjoy someone putting on rotors. But I did watched it twice excellent video.
Even better when in Nike Pro’s
Yeah it might have something to do with them little shorts she has on I know it helped me get through it
Shorts are a winner I could watch paint dry if she was in tiny shorts
Hey Rachael…. Respect to you
Just a little tip …
Instead of hanging off the bar… When undoing bolts get the socket/bar on and tap with a hammer to break the seal… 👍 good job
You provide so much inspiration to dyiers who have little to no experience or confidence to work on their cars

I admire you and Kayla I get lots of ideas for my chevy duramax pickup from both of you
If you take a large Phillips screwdriver that fits in snuggly and tap on the end of it with a small sledgehammer and usually loosens
Those are really nice! Great installation and looking forward to see what comes next!
Great video I’m a dad with a 20yr old daughter an I’m going to have her watch this thanks 👍🏿
I love the light blue color of the Camaro! That carbon fits on it really nice.
I have the same rotors! They are awesome! Break them in per the instructions. They look fantastic on the 5th gen! Pricey but worth it!
To do the other side if it’s a torx use a hammer and hit the torx bit into the bolt to get a good bite when removing it

Awe man that screams, “Camaro Gang Gang BREHHH!”😆🤣! Those two piece rotors are supa sick Raquel 🔥🔥🔥🔥😃
An added tip thread a lug nut onto to the rotor to hold it in place
Just got a 2012 SS can't wait to buy stuff for it #1 on the list is hood like yours

It's a good day when Raquel drops a video 💙 the car looks so badass keep it up 💯🔥
I don’t know if you did it, but always clean new rotors with brake clean because the are shipped with a coating for rust protection.
Pro tip: always hand tighten in a star pattern, then go back over with torq wrench also in a star pattern.
Then check torque again in 100 miles.
I have a 6th gen but I love this generation so much, this build is so sick too I fr think I made the wrong decision sometimes😂🤦♂️
How many miles have you put on these rotors so far? I’m really thinking about getting them for my daily driver Camaro
Getting close to needing to put on new pads ECT . video gave me inspiration to do some spring maintenance. . 😁
Great job! I could watch you work all day!❤
It had nothing to do with them little shorts she was wearing i bet
Great job Raquel keep your smile and video’s coming no matter if it’s just to check the oil
Ignore negative comments as far as your job goes. Also I have those rotors, you can tell the difference for sure.

Next time turn your front wheels, you can get at the caliper bolt easier to get better leverage with the the wrench. 😉

Been looking into upgrading my rotors how would everyone say these style of rotors and stopping power compare to the oem rotors?
The caliper bolts are one time use only cause they stretch
Hi Raquel, nice work on the vid. Did the rotors that you installed on the left side meant to go on the right side? I just wondered due to the way they were drilled and cut. Nice job as always girl.
Raquel, good video. I was wondering if you use a tork wrench to tighten the wheelbolts? So that you don't over tighten the wheel bolts.
