Agreed. Each cour is supposed to be 13 episodes. But they weren't able to finish the Ichibei vs. Yhwach fight in cour 2 (and wasted the rest of the time on Kon), we were given 14 episodes this cour as a bonus. At least, Quincy Daten was better than Kon's crap from cour 2. It confirmed Nikita Deslock, which had been floating around as Nikita Deathlok. 🤣
Ppl complaining about the ending don't seem to understand how running a show works lol. I'm not mad about it at all we got a resolution between Uryu and the squad, set ups for some amazing fights to come and the return of some great characters! Y'all cry too much for me.
I’ve gotta agree, I’m honestly surprised this season went as far as it did, lots of people suspected it to end with Bazz/Hashbrown fight, the extra episodes after kinda put it in a weird spot for anime onlys since it does seem like an abrupt end. Going further than they did with these last 2 episodes would have put it at an even weirder end spot imo which is why they put in the old school post credit shenanigans, to buy out some time while also giving a bit of back story

So I would say that as a manga reader, this was a good stopping point. Even though cour 4 will have majority anime original content, the important fights and plot points is so much that the manga didn’t have enough time to flesh it out. If they did any more, it would’ve left us in a more awkward spot till cour 4. Plus people forget this was a bonus episode, this is episode 14 for cour 3 when we normally get 13 episodes. It made up for the finale for cour 2 and the first episode of cour 3 being a hodgepodge of content and recap. The whole time throughout cour 3 I was wondering where they would leave it off at because there weren’t really many good spots to pause it at. As you said it’s a bridging episode for the final cour
It’s been around 10 years since the last time we had ‘The Illustrated Guide to Soul Reapers’/‘Arrancar Encyclopedia’ with Gin and now Askin continues that tradition with ‘Quincy Daten’ and finally tells us that the name of the female Quincy that killed Bazz’s mom, was Nikita Deslock and a relationship chart of them (everyone dislikes Hubert to various degrees and Nikita hates him especially so with what she calls him.) Hubert is also high class and thinks that he’s the ‘strongest,’ calling Nikita inferior, the right hand man of Ywach as an annoying old man, and the last one is a loyal subordinate (besides Hubert, they all get along with each other, though and Nikita likes shooting.) Maybe it’ll return next Cour and we finally find out what BG9’s and Robert’s Schrifts are and get short segments with them (like having a callback to Byakuya and Zommari teleporting behind each other, as Gin is confused in the background as they zoomed across the desert.)
They have only 25 chapters to adapt for cour 4, that's basically half a season worth of content to adapt in a full season. We are going to get a lot of anime exclusive content

Really annoyed they dissed Liltotto like that. In the manga, it was only Liltotto and Gigi that fought Yhwach, and he was awake. Even showed he had his eyes open. But since they moved things around they made them lose to an uncouncious Yhwach when they had even more backup. The anime makes Liltotto look like a small fry, even though she has all of pepe's power and schrift going into this fight. She's a double stacked Sternritter who is also one of the most skilled and intelligent among them to begin with. All the people she ate, she should be jacked in terms of raw power. Losing to just random shadow shit is annoying tbh

Pernida and Gerard are the only ones Yhwach assigned Schrifts to bcus of The Power They Already Had! A Clear Cut Explanation. We had multiple explanations for this and people still want to say "Yhwach can't give Schrifts or take them away" only for Yhwach to admit it on screen (which the Manga explained it already) how his powers work. Yet people still wanted to deny it. Now here we go again with Askin himself rereconfirming what has been plainly stated multiple times and made sure there's no room for misunderstanding. You don't use the word "Give" and as of now the word "Granted" for the word Unlock. They're completely different words with different meanings. You can't "give" someone something they already have. You can't "grant" someone something they already have access to and or possession of. Royd and Loyd has been officially retconned.
The confusion came from what happened to Bazz B and the Bambis during the Auswhalen. Cuz for some reason in the manga, they still have their schrifts when they survived and only their Volstandigs were taken. Furthermore, Kubo also explained how it works - Yhwach would give them a letter that would correspond to their souls and that's what completes and unlocks their individual powers. These led to many believing that perhaps Yhwach can't take away their schrifts because it's unique to them. It wasn't until now, in a recent Klub Outside interview, that Kubo further explained that the Auswhalen was just only taking away the necessary amount of power from the Quincies. This clarifies why Bazz and the Bambis still have their schrifts, cuz their powers didn't get taken fully.

I can understand why people feel that the ending was underwhelming but it needed to happen this way since these last 2 eps were mainly set up/build up eps for cour 4 which was I expected it since they can't really start the finale battles without feeling it being rushed... so this is for the best (imo). Don't worry this "underwhelming" ending is gonna pay off in cour 4 where we gonna get lot of GREAT things to look forward to both anime watchers and for manga readers. I would say finale is the weakest of the cour but you gotta remember bleach was created as a weekly anime not a seasonal with cliffhangers built beforehand to accommodate the seasonal endings manga wise as well the only checkpoints in the final arc are the end of the normal sternitters fight and then squad vs the royals after that its pretty much supposed to be continuous
