How do you know how much to use? Have you had to adjust measurements on that box at all?
I print that blue silica box at 150% these days and fill it with silica. I also monitor my boxes with a humidity sensor. Stays around 10-15% humidity. If it goes above 20% humidity the sensor sends me a txt. That way I know when to recharge the silica.
My updated procedure proabably means that I should make a new video.
How do you recharge the packets
I've never tried to recharge the packets. I'm not even sure they are rechargeable. I'd assume you would recharge then the same way, low heat for a few hours. Let us all know if that works!
Anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks for watching and for being part of my channel
Grimm3D thanks for the quick response! Yeah I think you can just leave them in the oven at a low heat and wait for evaporation. But I was just wondering about specific heats and times for the small packets. I don’t want any fires 🔥!! Lol
@@ethanguidry312 makes sense. My trouble with the small packets has always been that they don't seem to be enough for the larger containers I use for filament. The little packets seem to only be good for single, plastic bag style storage.
Grimm3D yeah I see what you mean. But, our use mine for coin collecting and preventing the moisture and humidity from damaging proof coins and brilliant uncirculated coin I just put a couple in a bag with an album or some rolls of silver coins
not to be personal but fine a personality! too dry!!!!
Thanks for watching!
