- @Copwatchtv obtained body and security camera footage of an incident involving an off-duty Bernalillo County Deputy who was in his government issued truck.
34-year-old Michael Borrecco of Albuquerque is accused of pointing a firearm at two patrons at a Circle-K gas station.
According to a criminal complaint, the Albuquerque Police Department arrived on scene and found the two victims and Deputy Borrecco on scene. According to officers and witnesses, Borrecco smelled of alcohol and video evidence showed him pointing a firearm at the two men. It also shows the vehicle he drove up in, having flashing lights and a PA (public announcement) system. The victims said Borrecco used a PA system and identified himself as a "BCSO" deputy to the two men.

Disturbing how these supposed cops treated this situation. If anything this off duty officer should’ve been held to a higher standard than civilians. Instead we had this.
Exactly. That’s how it’s SUPPOSED to be. That’s why I love Sheriff Grady Judd from Polk County. He arrests his officers with the quickness when they FAFO! His press conferences from when he arrested 3 of his deputies for theft is perfection. He says that they (cops) MUST be held to a higher standard. He should be teaching cops all over the country.
The law doesn't apply to the police. It only ever applies when there's enough public outrage and they finally charge them. If that was me driving drunk and pointing a gun at people I would have been arrested.

Our main concern is that he’s comfortable, his handcuffs are nice and loose, and that he gets home safe without going to jail for committing multiple felonies.
All of them criminal oathbreakers. At least we know now.
Here's the thing though Cappy .. these cops were being extra careful to do everything "by the book" as they say, and making sure that they don't violate any of his rights .. something that they don't usually do with a civilian. They're purposely not asking any incriminating questions, not even an "okay, what really happened and be honest with us Mike, - things will go better for you" -type question.
They supposedly didn't have 'clear evidence' of the crime yet, even after looing at the CTV footage so gave them the excuse to pass everything off to the detective division and let the tyrant deputy sheriff go home. Sounds like he has a huge drinking problem. I don’t understand why he wasn’t charged with DUI since the officer said he could smell alcohol on him.
I understand that there is “professional courtesy” given but as someone who has lost a friend from a drunk driver I’m disgusted!!
Believe it or not, and for what it's worth, a DUI is the absolute least of his worries in this case. It's also the only misdemeanor of all the other felony charges. What ever he pleads to or is convicted of, it's all going to run concurrently, so it's not like he would've gotten more jail time anyway. Again, for what it's worth.
And, yes, I realize that this just isn't enough for some of the less reasonable, foaming at the mouth, hate all cops no matter what, idiots. For the rest of us normal, intelligent folks, who realize that this isn't a perfect world, we take the wins when we're lucky enough to get them. And this was a pretty big win. 15 years active duty, no pension?! That's huge! Several felonies?! Even better, he can't be rehired in another department! But some of you are going to endlessly bitch and moan that he didn't get a little misdemeanor DUI charge.🙄 That's why no one but those in the echo chamber with you, listen to anything you have to say. This was definitely a case of dereliction of duty because the offenders was a fellow officer. I wish everyone could see the clear difference between a case like this, and the cases where good officers do their job but are kind / respectful to their brother / sister in arms that obviously just ruined their career.
Too many people see things like this and use it to promote distrust with law enforcement. Then when good officers have to arrest a colleague, they may hug their friend or clearly be upset that their friend is ruined. Those officers will get as much hate if not more then these officers do.

I like the cop with the Hitler haircut. All he needs is a little mustache to complete the look.
If I were the patrons, I would not stop until I saw him in prison.
Aww! It’s so cute how cops get treated like a child who stole candy!
And wonder why cops have lost all trust from the public….
I trust them. I follow the laws..cope 😂😂..
That shirt defines everything wrong with police today.
"Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter accusations." He was literally telling you with his t-shirt.
Unreal dude has 5 years till retirement! Has 15 years in and is going to lose it all! Honestly though its best he's not a cop because if hes willing to do something dangerous like this and also willing to blatantly lie about it he shouldn't be a cop! All of his previous arrests should be investigated! Im sure hes planted evidence before! Dudes a typical bully on a power trip I'm sure!
what did he think he was wealthy or a politican.
This is probably the only time he's been caught, so that 15 years means nothing as he just got lucky to NOT get caught previous times he did insane things. Nobody randomly does something like this after 15 years without previously doing something similar, so he just got what he had coming. Then again police departments have insane payouts to some officers so he still might collect something.
He'll lose nothing. He'll most likely get a chance to get his retirement in another state with credit for his 15 years transferred. Unlike us, they do their best to take care of each other.
But we'll lose track of him. Unless he pops up in another video, probably for the same thing. A leopard can't change its spots.
He lied, he only had eight years
Damn, was he special forces, too?
If the patrons were getting high as the store owner implied (if I understood him correctly) they wouldn’t have called law enforcement. Any other suspect with a call about a weapon would’ve been put in cuffs and searched immediately and obviously treated like a dangerous threat he on the other hand stood there hands free never mind being in his pockets thereby breaking every protocol I’ve ever seen in the countless videos I’ve watched over the years when weapons are involved. Being released without charges and taxied home was the most insulting to the public in my opinion.
Little evidence. Called hearsay. Video cams show nothing. So they don’t have much to go on. I’m not surprised at all
So nice when you’re police officer that you’re given every benefit of the doubt unlike when you’re not a police officer. There is no way that any normal citizens would get away with this as much as this guy did.
So? Military gets special treatment. Doctors , politics, celebrities. What are you crying about? It's unfair? That's life , you didn't know that?
The funniest part is his shirt "admit nothing, deny everything" lol
The way cops treat cops compared to someone who isn't a cop makes me🤢🤮
Anyone else…they would’ve pulled up with guns out after getting word a guy is pointing guns out on people 🤦🏾♂️
@@ISOkeem13They didn’t know he was with the sheriff’s office until they were there for a bit, correct?
If he were black they would have shot him by now, writing in their report that he “went for my gun”.
@@ISOkeem13- How much crying are you gonna do without actually using logic? They didn’t even know he was a cop until well into the investigation, but I guess everything is victimhood mentality about us versus them, huh?
🤦♂️ I guess you don’t understand the difference between anecdotal and empirical evidence. I’ve seen similar situation where regular citizens are not arrested until a proper investigation can be done. But hey, I guess every single situation that matches your preconceived notions must be just as you imagine it originally, huh?b
He thought they wouldn’t call the cops because he identified himself as a cop. I hope at the end you tell us he was fired.
Funny that we never see them treat accussed citizens this good. Actually we have seen citizens assaulted for simply filming but there is no double standard or corruption at all.
🤔 no "cuffs weren't built for comfort " statement but rather let me make those comfortable for you!
Amazing how civil they are when dealing with their own.
There’s thousands of instances where they’re just as civil. When you need help don’t bother calling 911.
They're overly civil with Basketball Americans anymore too after the 2020 summer of love 🤮
@@bobbyrbmg4370no there isn’t with any other instance with the real public they aren’t that accommodating. And calling 911 is way too late in Albuquerque better have a gun available.
@@RandyGladden yes there is
@@RandyGladden lmao
This guy just got his sheriffs truck towed and a ride home with his supervisors 😂😂😂
Drinkin', drivin', and waving guns around, gets a lift home. Makes me wanna be a cop.
If law enforcement treated everyone with the same curiosity and respect as they do other officers they would be far less despised.
Amen! They act and treat their own as if they are better than everyone else that isn't a pig
He even stands there like he's guilty.
"tHiS iS sO aWkWaRd" x10
15 years on the force that is a scary thought on his off day talking to people the way he's talking to him tell them he's going to take their soul. Just the arrogance the sense of entitlement that oozes out of him I can only imagine what a nightmare this guy is when he's on duty 15 years he's probably somebody's boss to imagine that he's probably the example for his department
The fact they let clown keep his hands in pocket. Is outrageous!!!
Those “investigating” should lose their jobs too. I love and respect cops, but not any of them in this video.
True but things could have went down bad.
The bad cop's true colors would have been shown.
You'll never see a cop be that nice to a civilian
I do all the time, you must just be a dirt bag
Well try show some respect you have a better outcome but no you come on here cry
@@11Salda you have to earn respect, its not given. Bootlicker! The only they earn is hate
Cops are civilians.
Do the police pick on you sweetie?
A drunk cop out in public thinking he’s above the law. Typical.
