At this point i would settle for a remaster of the first three games starting with the sands of time. Just fix the camera, improve the graphics, run it at 60 frames and i will be fine with that.
Good thing the series is raising once again with "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown"! & yes, it has its own official Persian menus, Persian subtitles, & Persian dub! Bringing back the classic 2D that was made years ago to life!
@@aleksandrtrikoz1993 at least that guy is his own thing instead of just the prince but race swapped! the only problem (except for the story, the story is shit) i have with the game is the title for me! it says prince of persia and you expect to play as the prince instead of being called persian warriors or persian immortals: a prince of persia story! theres a difference between race swapping a character and having him bust our nuts about his sexuality or pronouns and a character of color who is his own thing and focuses on his task but also has good moments and character development!
fun fact...Ubisoft just has the license to make the Prince of Persia game but the rights are still held by the original creator...so a chunk of money from the POP sales was going towards the creator but when they switched to assassins creed they could keep all the profit... which is one of the most major reason prince has been discarded for so long by Ubisoft.
The big missing element of PoP in the Assassin's Creed (AC) games is the interior exploration and puzzles. When you get interiors in AC, you rarely get big ones or multilevel areas where you need to solve some puzzles while doing a bit of combat, even though the combat sometimes seems like filler. One analogy is how the old Zelda games had big themed dungeons that were lost with the move to BotW, though TotK did partially bring back that old feel for its major "dungeons" if you include the traversal and puzzles required to reach them as well. I'm in the camp that didn't like Warrior Within, but I did like The Two Thrones and the 2008 cel shaded game.
We did have those interior exploration levels and puzzles in AC2-AC Revelations. From then on, it was mostly parkour puzzles until AC Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, which have some puzzles that are somewhat similar, but the Tombs, Templar Lairs, (and more) missions in the Ezio Trilogy were very similar to the PoP puzzles.
I really hope the remake is still happening because I heard that lost crown game they tried to do did not sell well I'm not 100% sure I'll have to look into it but I don't think anybody was talking about it when it released I couldn't tell if that was supposed to be their remake or if they're still working on the sands of time remake or what
Always loved Prince of Persia, never played Assassin's Creed for exactly this reason. It always felt wrong for me, it killed one of my faves since childhood.
do you think we will get a new trailer of some new screenshots anytime soon? their next ubisoft forward event should take advantage of the release of skull and bones and maybe have the remake be in the spotlight , or at the very least be a part of the show

They need to remake the original gameplay. It would be an entirely different game with the sloppy platforming of recent Ubisoft games. If they do that well then i could trust them to remake AC1.
I thought the remake looked great. But it got so many bad reviews they decided to re do it. I had it pre-ordered and everything. People just like to conplain and ruin good things.
I'm doubting that the remake will come ever to an end cos the potential targets would be only the nostalgic ones. It would be a real success if they would develop something new only based on that first Windows game. Also The Assassins' Creed franchise IS NOT BASED ON THE POP! The essential feature of the POP TRILLOGY + 1 (the protagonist of the fourth Windows POP game isn't the real POP but a thief who has taken that name) are the UNWINDING THE TIME, which isn't in any AC game. Not even the parkour which was started with the TOMB RAIDER game series and NOT with POP.
Yeap, in order to be really successful they would need to polish the gameplay really well and also add some sensible new things. yes, AC isn't "based on POP" but AC was originated when they decided to make a sequel for pop. Which after researching they came to a stealth Assassin type of game. It was originally an idea for a pop sequel (prince of Persia Assassin) later the idea developed and called AC. It is not based on POP at all XD.
I know games take time. The video is more about the history of the game than the remake itself. It is being developed and with the latest tweet it's likely to come this year.
@@wayd3321 ok, thanks for clarifying. I thought it was one of those videos where there’d be a lot of complaints and moaning. Not only do games take time to make especially this one because India (who have no quality teams and experience) completely messed the game up so they had to scrap that trash and start from scratch. Thankfully Montreal has been working on it from scratch so it will be amazing.
Before Assassin's Creed came along, franchises like PoP and Splinter Cell were Ubisoft's bread and butter. Good times.
Good old days ;(
Times change and so do the audience. Publishers are after trends that make them money, not take risks for niches.
Up through assassins creed 4 and far cry 3, their games were top notch.
The rayman team is still a light of hope at Ubisoft

Warrior Within will remain the best.
The Prince of Persia lore had so much potential tbh, if it comes with God of War's playing style then it would definitely be a hit.

what do you think prince of persia the two thrones remake, with new maps and more wide story

If not, a whole new story in Persia and India and mowing mythology with it
You talk about POP. You have my sub. This is so simple!
so any ide when its gonna come?
Hopefully this year ! If nothing goes wrong.
Minor correction. POP 2008 was a standalone game and had nothing to do with the sands of time trilogy.
I mentioned in the video Trilogy ended with the two thrones. 2008 was a reboot that didn't work as well as they thought it would.
