    Omg they are so similar! I feel like due to the code of points a lot of gymnasts are doing very similar routines on most of the apparatus

    Wow I didn’t realize but they’re super similar in terms of their dance execution it’s kinda crazy Joscelyn got hit with a whole point, I would say in the dance elements she had one or two more static seconds but a point is insane in my opinion. Both great routines, Joscelyn’s gymnastic execution was better for sure but Gadirova’s dance was just a bit more dynamic.

    • @Whit-kj6fr
      @Whit-kj6fr 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Their dance elements are also quite different. You can see Jocelyn isn’t quite hitting the positions in her leaps and hops as well. For example, in her hip full she is bent over forwards with loose knees and just barely at horizontal with her leg.
      Both of them bend their knee going into their tour-jete a bit, but Jess hits a better split shape

  • @capriciousstudent
    @capriciousstudent 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +53

    This feels like what has happened with UB in the past few years- certain skills and connections are so favorably scored that routine compositions become fixed and repetitive. Gymnasts only focus on training these specific set of skills, leading to a LOT of nearly identical (at least in tumbling passes) routines. And in the end, both originality and choreography suffer; We’re in the era of “do the most difficult tumbling you possibly can, even if form and execution suffers as a result, then throw in some poses and call it dance”

      I have to agree with your statement on how there is so little originality any more...go back to the 1970-90's to see how interesting and original a lot (not all of course) of routines were. The variety of mounts and dismounts alone was quite amazing. And the dance was far more varied as well. Go back and look at the routines of Khokina or Podaptava and you will see what I mean. Svetlana Bogemskya is another very original and beautiful gymnast. I wish that the CoP awarded artistry & originality as well as execution like they used to.

She has flexed feet as well as crossed feet on so many on her tumbling runs and her knees are often soft or even slightly flexed and she falls out of her Mitchell more often then not. I think they will only use her in the vault in team finals. I think Leanne will go up on FX with Simone and Shilease. Just body shaming haters . That's why they go nuts and hate when simone wins because she apparently does not have the 'right' body for the sport. These haters are still stuck in 1960s where skinny 😏👀 women used to dominate. I much prefer Gadirova's routine and execution. She's striking, and the choreography suits. The pink one is a bunch of hurried arm waving: awful choreography, and makes the gymnast seem dull.

      @@leykimayriJade has improved a lot in the dance since she went to college I think. There's a bit more flow and better rhythm in her FX &BB now. Not quite so jerky & disconnected.

      lmao here come the ignorant americans unable to wrap their head around the fact that a sport named “artistic gymnastics” requires “artistry”. She’s getting deductions because of the lack of artistry in her choreo, the low chest on landings, the flexed feet, the feet separation, the body shape on the leaps etc etc. Yall are so loud yet so wrong please read the code of points before you go spreading your ignorance to public.
