I’m actually shocked by how nice people are being! I’ve only ever seen hate and bad comments to us over the years 🥺 we are proud of this song. I’m just happy people are liking it!
Finally the UK has awakened from its long Eurovision sleep. Top 3 for sure and agree its very "radio friendly". Not just that Sam's vocal range is outstanding and has sang this live without a problem.
It's not only you, this song immediately had me thinking that Freddie Mercury would do wonders with this song, and that Brian May's guitar would complement it really well. You can actually hear a Queen vibe in a few places in the song. Really hoping that the UK can come in the top three this year!
Agree. It's as if Queen and the Beatles got together and had a baby. TBH, I'm not a huge fan of Eurovision and only caught up with this today but man - it ticks all the boxes.
I love the song. It gives me strong Christmas vibes for some reason. It kinda sounds like something I could hear in a Coca Cola ad for Christmas, which is a positive thing in my books hahah. Hoping the UK does well this year! 🤞
I'm a Brit and am quite humbled by all the nice comments. Instead of blaming politics for the past 20 years, maybe we should have just made better songs :)
I will admit, Over the last 10 years or so we haven’t really tried very much when it comes to Eurovision, but this year it seems we’ve decided to take this thing seriously again. Let’s hope it continues into the future 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Aww, I am so pleased you like this. I am trying to not get too excited about our chances at Eurovision this year, but I am really hoping this does well. The only other times I have been this excited were with Jade (2009), Blue (2011), and Molly (2014). Molly's result was a disappointment for me, but if we can get left-hand side like Jade and Blue I will be happy. 😊
Molly in 2014 was the last great entry from the UK, it was in my top 10 that year. I wasn't mad about Blue in 2011, never a fan of them. Jade with Andrew Lloyd Webber was excellent in '09, the best entry from the UK in the 2000s. Sam Ryder with Spaceman is the first entry in so many years that I think the UK has a chance.
They never have Ian. They've been waiting for us to send a decent song. I loved last year's but the staging was dire & the performance was lacklustre. We didn't deserve to do well, which was a shame for James. At least he had the guts to risk his reputation, which most established artists won't do. He might not be famous as a singer, but he's well known as a writer. When a country's delegation or entry's management doesn't care about the competition, it's disappointing for everybody because other countries who do care & work hard on their entry feel as though the UK is belittling Eurovision & everybody else. They're also considerate with British fans who care too. The general British population aren't bothered, but the fans are. When every country puts in the effort, it makes ESC incredible & out of this world. That's what every Eurovision fan wants. We all have our own favourites & nationality simply doesn't come into it. Take me, for example, last year (excellent year)my favourite was Italy with Lithuania close second but I also loved Finland, Switzerland, Ukraine, Romania & San Marino; in 2019 (another excellent year) it was Hatari from Iceland, with Azerbaijan, Malta, Portugal, Romania, & Greece; in 2018 I had a 4-way favourite, Hungary, Switzerland, Czech Republic & Ukraine; in 2017 Ukraine, Italy, Bulgaria; in 2016 Georgia, Montenegro, Cyprus & Spain. As you can see, it's about the music, not the country. There will be ESC fans this year for whom Sam has the best entry. It's not personal about us, our country or our politics. It's just about the music, so don't worry! 🙂
WOW I absolutely love love love this from the UK, 12 points Spain🧡
The best uk song in really many years. In my top 3 for sure🥺👏🇬🇧

I'm in the UK and, in fairness, I'd say it's worked both ways.
Thank you for showing love for our entry! Love from UK x
🤗🤗🤗
I love the UK entry this year, its in my top 3 along with the Netherlands and Serbia at the moment.

I'm actually obsessed with this song and the singer. He is soooo unique and has an amazing voice that nobody could compare with.
I love that you love this song and I love that you care about the UK ❤
I love the song. It gives me strong Christmas vibes for some reason. It kinda sounds like something I could hear in a Coca Cola ad for Christmas, which is a positive thing in my books hahah. Hoping the UK does well this year! 🤞
I thought the exact same thing! Reminded me of a John Lewis advert at Christmas 🤶
@@jakecorrigan4767 Had to look that up, and wow, you're so right!
OMG!! I hadn't thought of that but you're absolutely right. 😂
Thanks for your lovely reaction, Alesc. He HAS got a great voice, I agree. He's even better live. 🙂

A Freddie tone and Bee Gees range with Elton and Bowie connotations and a very Coldplay sounding song.
Aw thank you so much for you positive comments. So much appreciated 😍❤️🇬🇧
Thabk you @Brenda!🤗🤗
Great reaction!

You forgot 2017! A masterpiece. I really believe UK is leaving the bottom 5 this year
@@alesctv Lucie Jones was one of my favourite in years and i was really surprised when it didnt even reach the left hand side of the leaderboard
You made me cry. I thought everyone hated us.

@@angelaburrow8114 I’d disagree with that actually. It’s been well felt that we aren’t a liked nation. For many, many years.
I really really like this entry
Great!! But Sweden song is to great and if I must see eurovision i uk or Sweden its easy. Sweden is the best to produce this
Vive les bretons
We’ll come last again.
