Hello London Typewriters, I recently bought a 1926's underwood typewriter. I love it ! But unfortunately, my typewriter doesn't work : more precisely, the roll doesn't work (the bar doesn't advance) I desesperately searched videos on youtube to understand why my roll doesn't want to move when I push a letter, but there is no video on this subject. Can I ask you please, if you have some time, to show us on a video how the rolls of typewriters work ? It could help some people to repare their typewriters. Thanks you ! Have a nice day.

Hi there! I have an Underwood. My keys are locked but the bar advances when I hit the space bar. Do you know anything about unlocking the keys? Mine looks to be a 70s model?
Hello! It could be a range of issues, difficult to say without seeing the typewriter in person. My first check would be to see if the line lock is engaged when it shouldn't be. Regards, Alex
