Funny that you mention Daphne, I just recently acquired a full bottle. I think it's a powdery leather related to Rien but also in the manner of say, Cuir Mauresque from Serge Lutens because of the spice and floralcy. I quite enjoy the bitter orange facet with the tuberose.
Give that bottle some time and that play between the bitter orange, saffron and incense will lure you in. Great juice.
Love Daphne and Psychedelique
Thanks for your review, especially on Xerjoff JTC 400, I was thinking of purchasing it. Yes, there are days where some of my favorite perfumes, just don’t smell as good, as other days. Sometimes with a new fragrance I have put it away for a month or two and then come back to it and I really enjoy it. Bengale Rouge is a beautiful fragrance, I get Must de Cartier edp vibes, the original formulation from it. The Eau de Mystique sounds stunning!! I’m really enjoying your channel, and your descriptions for each fragrance are so helpful. 🥰💛
Thank you for those kind words. I would recommend going through a decant of 400 before you purchase. I went through a whole sample and it was not enough. But have not given up on it. I have only tried a vintage formula of Must de Cartier and I think it was not in great condition. I would really like to try a more current formula. Might need to pay the Cartier shop in Stockholm a visit on Wednesday when I'm in town.
Hi Kicki. I believe that you are Swedish, so I think it's interesting that you sound American. Also, I appreciate your insight concerning the fragrances you mention. I plan to start familiarizing myself with Comme de Garcons and some of the other ones you mentioned in this video. Recently, I added Guerlain "Bois Mysterieux" to my collection and it instantly has become one of my favorite fragrances. I highly recommend that you try it if you haven't yet. Two days ago, I wore another favorite of mine: Veronique Gabai "Cap d'Antibes". I like that one a lot. Have you tried it yet? I'd like to hear what you think about "Bois Mysterieux" and "Cap d'Antibes".
Her mom from US that’s why she sounds American).
Half-American! Thank you. One way to keep my English alive it so have this channel. I do speak English to my kids, parents and siblings but two kids have just moved out so I get too little practice.
I will look out for those fragrances you mentioned, haven't smelled either of them. I don't thing I have heard of them.
Is Wesker "Histria" similar to fragrances like: Tom Ford "Neroli Portofino", or "Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli", or is it much more darker/greener/incensey than that kind of scent profile?
The latter for sure! It is a dark green piney experience although it has some freshness in the top.
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 I'm definitely intrigued to try it. I'll try to sample it eventually.
I love Papillons Bengal Rouge so much that I keep wanting a bottle but it's impossible to get anyway. I find it smells a lot like DSH Passport a` Paris and a bit of vintage Shalimar. I love honey in perfume. I am loving my sample of Guerlain Tobacco Honey way too much, ugh. Comme de Garcons is a house I have never smelled. I have a discovery set of ELDO and have not liked many of them and the ones I liked didn't leave a huge impression on me at the time I sampled. I had to scrub "Like This" and I was so exited to try that one. Epic Woman was another total scrubber on me. Thank you Kicki! oxJulia
Eau de Mystique is my favourite perfume, glad you liked it too.
So comforting and enveloping! Love it.
because it has a number of fresh & fruit scents in it can you get away with wearing it in the summer?
Ahh Daphne, now that’s been one of my secret faves. It’s simplistic yet so interesting, the tuberose here with the amber is playful. I still have an original bottle which now displays the bitter orange with saffron with wispy incense. You’ve reminded me to give it a wear.👍🏻It has been discontinued only to be released again most recently.
Is this unisex I’ve been thinking of getting this as a man :)
@@jessediaz8941 Yes, I think so. It has a lot of florals, but not in a feminine way.
Now it is out of stock and my local niche perfumery that normally carries it.
Hi, I am not able to wear Bengale Rouge nor 400, so I guess I don´t enjoy honey in perfumes, though I really like YSL Libre Le Parfum which has it but not so potent I think
Yes, I think it is a matter of dose. A hint of sweetness by a drop of honey is one thing, but a deep dark honey dominant perfume is something else.
Hi Kicki ❤ here another one wasting 😅 her own money 😊
Tbh though I would be honest regardless!!
Haha, I don't feel like I am wasting actually. Right in this moment I am trying really hard not to buy a backup bottle of Artemisia from Penhaligon's for half the retail price. I have 50 ml left and that will last me 5 years since I rotate among so many frags. I don't need to buy it.
