This year was back to form, in my opinion. I last went in 2022 and that particular show was pretty disappointing comparatively, all of the acetate gate stuff aside.

Great pickups, my favorite has to be that 2.5 Batman 121 it’s a classic and what makes it better is how long you’ve had it and what you paid for it. Need more Vlogs at shows!! Great video as always

Glad you had a good trip, and thanks for sharing the re-holders. I need to get my Batman '89 toy collection going, I'm the same way with putting it off because they're common and not very pricey, lol.
They’ve slowly started to creep up. Batman used to be a pretty easy $20 pickup, then $25, and while I paid $30 for mine, I saw several priced at $40 that same weekend. I need to pickup a Batwing. It’s one of the few items I had from that movie that I haven’t been able to find yet.

Were you annoyed at the ASM 2 because you had sent it to CCS prior to grading, or because you sent it in pressed and CGC had damaged it?
I didn’t have it pressed. It was low enough grade and there was enough spine wear/damage that I didn’t want to risk blowing out the covers.
What would you recommend as the best way to protect your cardback and bubble toys? (other than grading them)
I use clamshells from a company called MOC Masters! They always setup at the Chicago Toy Show, so I just pick up what I need there, but you can also get them online.
Nice pickups and great bumping into you on the show floor at the con in Chicago! Quick question, I am not a toy collector but I do have a handful of vintage toys still sealed on cardboard backers that I would like to protect. Any suggestions on protective cases for toys? I have some Ninja Turtles so something like the case on Batman there at 10:14 would what I need.
Great running into you as well! What I have are cases from a company called MOC Masters. They are usually setup at the Chicago Toy Show and I pick up 5-10 whenever I need some. They have a wide variety of sizes and can help you find exactly which ones you need!

I LOVE Kane County. I prefer the October show slightly over the spring (I’ve yet to go to the July show), because in the fall it’s very Halloween/monster/creepy toy heavy since it’s almost always the weekend before Halloween.
