Ok, this is AWESOME! What a great idea to store some space but I mean DUDE. This is a collection! It’s also pretty sweet that you have the first appearance of Peter Pan! 😂
Loved watching this tour. My first submission was my ASM 300 and it got the purple label. I was not a happy collector that day. I remember saving up for it back in the late 90s. The dude who owned the comic shop was literally a real life version of the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Hefty, goatee, ratty pony-tail, and a very condescending attitude. Claimed that book was in such good condition which was the reason for the price. I know he's trying to make money but I don't have it in me to pull those sleazebag stunts.
This is one of the reasons I like buying graded comics. I had that Iron Man #1 in my collection since the early 90's. It was my prized possession through high school. Came back trimmed and color touch. Didn't know any better back in the day.
Nice video, collection, I think there's a few missing from your wall that should be there, Tales to Astonish 27, 35, 44, Tales of Suspense 52, 57, Tomb of Dracula 10, Giant Size X-Men 1 and X-Men 94 ;-)
I still need to add a few keys. Some got left in the box when I was reorganizing the wall. The GSX 1 is too thick a slab and won't fit in the channel, unfortunately.
I have a few reasons. Probably more paranoia than anything. Security and preservation being other factors. I like to keep a lot of the high dollar items in a dry dark temperature controlled and secure space. They are probably fine here on the wall (especially with additional mylar protection), but I don't like to have all my eggs in one basket, if you know what I mean.
First off; beautiful presentation, you have a great collection and love that most of the modern comics are direct and not news stand which I find off putting in terms of presentation. 2. Props for being one of the few people who know how to pronounce herb trimpe's last name properly. 3. Keep us posted about the sinister six diorama, that thing is a beast! But your statues are amazing.
Looks fun. As long as you enjoy what you collect. Are you biding in the coming Heritage auction in January 2024? Great opportunity to pick up super high grades. I will be on the hunt.
I mainly buy original art these days. There are a few keys I still want in the collection. I'm not a high grade collector when it comes to Silver Age keys. 5.0 is a nice safe grade for me most of the time.
Incredible collection, fantastically displayed! Thanks for sharing DT. Do you still have that golden-age Cap 1? And, will you dive into more golden age give you've got the big silver-age books covered?
Yep, it doesn’t fit into the J-channel, unfortunately. I didn’t trust the little slab holder in case somebody bumped into it. So it’s still in the box.
@@DTsGEEKSHOW Awesome. After silver, I went (and am still going) deep into gold. Like OA, the possibilities and prices can be overwhelming sometimes. Keep up the great work, DT, and I look forward to seeing how your collection evolves!
I might do another detailed video on comic storage/safety. But basically, bag/board at minimum and keep upright in a box. For these boxes, just search BCW plastic comic box and you should find it.
Yep, I pulled them all out after going through the entire Amazing Spider-man run. Maybe I’ll find that footage. Otherwise, I will find another way to show them. 😁
You got an awesome comic collection but I gotta know how do you afford to buy all those high dollar books? I been collecting for over 15 years and only have 5 short boxes of keys and rare variants.
I will be making a video on that subject. I've had a bunch of these books for a while now. I stopped buying big books when the prices went sky high. Collecting mainly original art now. Unfortunately, that's even more expensive!
That Sinister Six 1/4 diorama is a custom, right? I have to think I would've heard of it if it was licensed 😅 Insane piece, can't wait to see your unboxing vid.
I want a few of mine graded. Where do you get you comics graded? Do you take them to conventions and get them graded too? I’m actually nervous to send mine in the mail. That’s just how I am.
Hmmmm, I think some of these books are too sentimental (I've had some for nearly 40 years). Plus, I'm more of a Marvel guy. Still, I'd love to have an Action 1, Tec 27, Superman 1 or Batman 1
I could give you the address, but you'd have to get by the armed guards, motion sensors, laser tripwire, retinal scanner only to find that the big books are somewhere else.
on your video I noticed that you have transformers I am selling 11 comic books and all of them are graded by CGC and all of them are 10.0 if you are interested or if you know someone let me know!!

What’s the cost and what types defects do they focus on?
That’s what this whole channel is. lol. But in all seriousness, I’ve been collecting over 40 years. I’m the only one in my house who is into this stuff. I do a lot of different things. Will be making a video about it soon.

Masterful collection! Thanks for sharing!

Amazing collection and display!
Wow, Awesome Collection. Thanks for sharing.
Looking forward to the original art room
Haha! Don’t really have a room dedicated to OA. The framed stuff is scattered throughout the cave and the portfolios are vaulted.
I was waiting for you to pull out the ultimate grail. Action comics 1. Make it happen!
I have a facsimile that I had in the background of the last tour video and some people freaked out.
Great set up brother and definitely inspiring
I dont often get jealous, but this video will do it.😊😊😊
You had me at “walk in vault” 😂
Amazing display.. Where can I get the same rails used to hold the slabs?
I will make a video about the process.
Awesome collection!! Really well done! Thanks for showing us!
Some of them will be worth a few bucks! 👍
Hopefully, my family can use the funds for something nice, when I kick the bucket.
Great and epic room tour!
Heck of a collection. 🔥

Thanks for the kind words. Happy Holidays!
Cool !!!!👍🎉
Impressive ❤
Got damn! Wheres that art ( portfolio) video? Looking forward to that.
I'll flip through one soon. Any preference on which one I should show first?
@@DTsGEEKSHOW What all do I have to choose from sir?
Sounds like you need to make your comic seller bigger. Awesome collection.
DT you need a bigger statue room, would leave that room just for your books 😊 Awesome tour bro
Nice collection ❤❤ ❤
This setup is so epic man!!!
Incredible collection! I have to ask, do you have any particular reason as to why you don't leave your books displayed in your comic room?
I have a few reasons. Probably more paranoia than anything. Security and preservation being other factors. Do you have a video on your OA collection?
Murderer’s row of silver age Marvel mega keys! AF15, ASM1 and Avengers 1 signed by Stan? Insane. What grade is the FF5?
Thanks! The FF5 is a 4.5 When I was buying Silver Age keys, I was shooting for 4.0-6.0.
This collection is awesome, inspires me to start collecting!
Comic Book Lovers Unite!!! 😎
Love what you did with that wine cellar. If you had to get rid of one, would you part ways with your statues, or your comic books?
Statues would definitely go before comics. But art prints and Funko Pops would be the first to go!
I assume this doesn't include original art, correct?
@@philcamacho127The original art would be the last to go!
Very cool comic room, do you also collect funko pops?
Yes, I'll have a video featuring those soon.
Merry Christmas to The Tube Family!
Id love to have a wine cellar.
Thanks for showing your room mate looks great love the rhino statue.
Subbed also.
How about adding some art in the room? And have you changed the room around and would you trade that purple lable Ironman #1 or sell it let me know
I’m mostly a Silver Age collector but I do have one of the Wolverine #1 Christopher like you, really love that yellow cover.
The newer stuff I just collect covers I like or new characters with potential. I read most of my comics digitally.

Glad you still have it! BTW: I'm look enough to have a Cap 1 myself. It's a nice looking restored copy 🙂@@DTsGEEKSHOW

love you dt any tips for getting into keeping comics safe as in where to purchase plastic boxes et.
many thanks hope to hear back from you!

@@DTsGEEKSHOW thank you very much 👍
Another great option to store comics is to use a legal size file cabinet and then display statues on top.
Can you do a video of your original artwork?
At least I know that you were being faithful with the production of the Rhino Comics video.
At least it’s still in production.
Yep, I pulled them all out after going through the entire Amazing Spider-man run. Maybe I’ll find that footage. Otherwise, I will find another way to show them. 😁
@@DTsGEEKSHOW What is that other way that you will show them?
@@DTsGEEKSHOW I noticed in the video that you have a Rhino Rampage coming book in a bag and a Board and one in a slab. Why is that?

200 copies of Spider-man #1!?!? man and I just want get one lol

It helps. But you still have to make wise decisions.

Spectacular display and collection DT. Can you PM me the commissioner for the Spidey vs. Villans Dio.
Sure. Send me a message at DT Tube on Facebook.
Awesome collection! Do you ever think you would consider trading all your collection for a top grail like an action comics 1 or tech 27 type of thing?

What is your job man? How do you afford all of this?
Hi
Do you know if an early Black Panther high grade exists ?
I can’t find one anywhere grade 8 /9 slabbed
For Fantastic Four #52, there are 827 graded copies 8.0 and above. So they are out there. You just have to find them.
