What a band BTW - 👏 👌🏻 😍 SO UNDERRATED it's unbelievable 👏 A wee story, I was a just-turning 13year old when they done Stirling Castle 1998, (I used to always be the babysitter for my big cuz & her bestie) But they let me go through to Stirling, from Glasgow, in the wee van they rented (overspill in this supposed camper thing) aw squeezed in. 3 including me had no tickets, the big yins paid off a security, let us in. Remember bouncing at the back of the big crowd. One of my best memories of childhood by the way. As it wasn't the best, y'know. But that gig will stay in my memory, I've got that at least. The older one's were all 10+ my age. - got me stoned and on E and $hit before and after the gig. It was some laugh. Just a shame I've ended up an addict due to my all consuming of alcohol and substances. Always so greedy - mind the young men even saying in that van at how 🤔 the feck I could handle so much and want more 😆 It was good times then, the aforementioned. The hell began in my 20s, sober 7 years now late 30s. Life goes by too fast. I remember that gig like yesterday. Love the first album the most. But love a lot of their stuff. From Get blown away , to Tele he's not talking, it's my shadow, mechanical wonder, toomany to mention Went to their gig at Glasgow O2 around 2009/10/11 can't mind, that's when my alcoholism was mad. Had a pint thrown over me. But met a lovely guy called Jay and seen him for a while. And like everything else - my addictions too much for nice guy's. Because I was in a blackout for most of that gig, I've always said to myself from around 6 years sober that I'd love to enjoy them sober. I need to make a point of looking OCS up to see if they coning to Glasgow any time soon. I haven't got much money so couldn't travel anywhere else, maybe Edinburgh but preferably my hometown. If you've read this far and I've not totally bored you and you know anything about OCS schedules then please let me know by replying - BECAUSE I just couldn't listen to them for many years - like a lot of music, as they remind me of good times too much and put that thought of using again in my mind. Sobriety for me is very difficult. 7 years but a lot of time hanging on by fingernails. Any reply be welcomed. Thanks OCS for everything God bless you all ❤️🙏💙🇬🇧
I'm from glasgow n just read your post. Glad to see you've been sober for 7 years that's amazing. I seen them in the hydro a few years back and they were amazing would love to go back and se them again though
@@scottdocherty8706 over 8 years now pal, but feckn murder at times. Aw brilliant 👏 glad you like the OCS. They are shit hot live, do a good show. They aren't as popular as they should be in my opinion, but in a way I'm kinda glad they never became commercialised, like coldplay has done. As soon as I heard parachutes in 2000 I knew Coldplay were a proper band. Their older stuff is actually better poetry. Anyway I still hope to see a sober OCS gig. Hopefully this will be the year. Thanks for replying, all the best to u pal 👍🏻
These where the days when we all had hair ...long hair at that 😂 bet there is a more eggs in a bun than an A1 greasy spoon in this comment section 😂👍❤️
