Seen them live a few times and can honestly say...except for possibly Weller at the last T In The Park at Strathy Park... they were the best live band of their generation. Including Oasis.. can't go Liam's sneering drone AT ALL!
It's just band bravado. A lot of past bands used to have that ego and swagger that they probably emulated from 60s bands like The Who. It is partly tongue in cheek, with a bit of alcohol thrown in.
@Si-ew3ff didnt Damon leave as he'd been in an accident that damaged his hands and thus his ability to continue playing guitar? He's a collrge lecturer now
@@khloekloset3645 If you look up 'The real reason I left' an interview with Damon Minchella on TH-cam. Damon explains he was fed up with Oscar ordering lots of various things on the rider list for gigs and giving to his mates at the expense of the band. He confronted him on the tour bus and Oscar punched him, not for the first time and Damon thought it was the last straw, but was getting a bit jaded from being in the band as well so it all contributed.
@@khloekloset3645 There's an interview on TH-cam where Damon explains the real reason was him arguing with Oscar and getting hit on the tour bus but said he was also a bit disillusioned at that time as well.
this band are one of the coolest things to come out of the midlands

Oscar A.K.A "the mouth" Harrison
I love listening to Simon speak, he has a great way of phrasing things

Oscar saying there is no profit in peace before chinning the bass player Damon a couple of times causing him to leave the band.
