Thought you meant Simon - more like 1 hairstyle and definitely less than 6 women, 1 spice girl though sort of haha. Love the fact they have carried on - quality players in every position - class band. keep the faith
Most underrated singer songwriter the country ever produced, to even put them in the same category as oasis etc is a disservice to music, Fowler /Craddock for me in the best of the 90’s
They are a very underrated band. But, you know what, I like that. I like that the mainstream population isn’t listening to this and not connecting with it. It feels more personal not being ‘famous’. There’s lots of music like this, sometimes it’s a great thing.
I've always loved the line "the sunshine pours like wine through my window" little things like that is what great song writers come up with. I know there are better and more poignant lines in their back catalogue but it always makes me wish I had that kind of word talent

How can this only have 200 thousand views in 4 years. I have seen them four times in the last 20 years and they are the best band I have ever seen live. I have tickets to see them again in December and I can’t wait.
From the whole album, this was this the one for me that stuck out like a diamond, yet it never really received the accoladates at the time. Retrospectively it's one of their greatest pieces
Absolutely love OCS and this is probably the best version of the circle, so much emotion it makes me cry, definitely a song best sung by Simon on the acoustic guitar 🎸
That's the touch of a great band. I heard them on a really cold New Years Eve back home in Edinburgh. I've had God only knows how many women numerous women got married and imagrated and still remember every minute of that gig
Love, love, love this. Seen OCS and Simon solo so many times. Looking forward to Moseley Folk Festival and O2 in December. 1D are pretty boys with no soul. OCS were as famous in the nineties. Lets see if 1D last even half as long.

This is how it was originally written. The Moseley Shoals/single/This Life version is the more commercial version that the record company or producers or whoever wanted.
Sorry but that’s total nonsense, the electric version IS the OCS version, the acoustic (as with most OCS songs) is just the original form Simon wrote it in. I love them both but I’m a sucker for a Cradock solo and the circle has one of his most memorable riffs and best moments on record at the end, well for me at least! There is no compromise with Moseley shoals, that’s four years worth of graft the band captured, a million miles away from any clueless record people.
20 yrs, 7 hair styles, 6 women, 2 houses later and it still sound beautiful. Thanks OCS.

Only a few things make me cry, this version makes me cry every time
Saturday
Afternoon, the sunshine
Pours like wine
Through your window
And I know
Golden June can turn
An empty gray
Against your window
And I feel like
I'm on the outside
Of the circle
If I walk
(If I walk, if I walk)
By the trees
I'll catch the falling leaves
If the wind blows
But I know
(But I know, but I know)
All this means
Is whiling on the hours
Watching side shows
And I feel like
I'm on the outside
Of the circle
Will I turn my coat to the rain
I don't know
But I'm goin'
Somewhere I can
Warm my bones
Fare you well
(Fare you, fare you well)
Carry me away
And sing for those
I know upon their birthdays
I won't feel like
I'm on the outside
I won't feel like
I'm on the outside
I won't feel like
I'm on the outside
Of the circle
Legend.
I love the Inspiral Carpets bit at the end.
