Holy cow. I was linked to this video from Reddit, but you and I went to ALCON 2002. You let me stay in your hotel room with a friend of yours, and you let me buy a pair of socks from you because my luggage was lost by Greyhound (I did the shirtless Bedrock Anthem). Your e-mail used to start with something like FVZappa, I think. The Zappa shirt you're wearing in this vid tipped me off. I had to throw a shout out to you. Thanks for letting me crash in your room back then, and thanks for the socks.
Even among Magic The Gathering collectors who do seemingly crazy things, Keith is the craziest genius in a positive way - you can only admire his focus on the aim and commitment to collecting misprints.
I ran into Kieth yesterday at Illuminaudi in Cincinnati. He is a big Zappa fan and we mostly talked music. He did take a look at my Alternate 4th Edition Wrath of God and pretty much authenticated it on sight.

back in Shadows Over Innistrad, I got a miscut Sorin, Grim Nemesis
the miscut was just that the border on top was way thicker than it should have been, so it wasn't that crazy of a miscut
what was crazy was that I pulled two Sorins, both with the same miscut

I have a pre-alpha Test print Weakness, Keith told me his is still missing that one. I have talked to him several times online, he is a very nice guy.
I have both been rejected and approved to play it in a tourney. It's up to the head judge.

That's without a doubt one of the most impressive collections I have ever seen, and I've seen a few in my days! I wouldn't even want to venture a guess as to how much time and money he has devoted to it, but here's to hoping that he never ever loses it or splits it up. The Smithsonian just might have to open a new wing.
go to the dumpster area of the MTG printing press. u will find tons of these rejects. i used to work a similar place. these are common.
My favorite misprint is at 1:06!

I have a incorrectly cut Koth of the Hammer. Its front image is all the way on the right side of the card with no black border. Wonder if it's even worth anything?

A friend of mine has a misprinted (I don't remember what the mistake was or what edition it was from) Black Lotus that he claims is worthless but after watching this video I'm not so sure that he's correct.

Ummmmm absolutely. Considering Volcanic Islands are worth around 300 each, I'm assuming a misprint of a card like that is worth a pretty penny. I highly recommend not using eBay. I'd try and get in touch with someone from StarCityGames or Channel Fireball.com, they have people who specialize in stuff like that. Most people on eBay do not know proper pricing on cards.

Probably not much more than a regular K.o.t.H. He said that miscuts are really only worth a lot to serious collectors if you can see another card.

your music choice was bad imo. it adds an uninviting ambiance to an otherwise interesting story. he's collecting such incredible artifacts about the magic the gathering production. they may even yield insights of how they developed their printing.
