Easy to say in hindsight. The league all patted him on the back when the KD trade happened. The Beal one looked incredible on the surface but that contract is a cap killer. The Ayton trade was a wash pretty much. They got a top tier floor spacer, a serviceable center and a trade chip out of that.

I think there’s an underdog *chance* the suns could look good this year. They had flashes of looking really good against really good teams last season when healthy. There’s a possibility if healthy that they could pull a T-Wolves by finally building chemistry together and getting their stuff together in a similar fashion.
Not a chance the lakers and clippers are both better than the suns at the current moment. The playoffs just showed this team is poorly constructed and severely lacking defense and a playmaker.

Kd is good regular season but when playoffs come people play defense that is more aggressive and they dont care if kd gets hurt playing hard defense. I always felt like the Nets trade was better for the nets than advertised. I believe they got Durant in free agency which was cool. They spent way too much on Harden to keep him happy but at the end of the day they got a few picks and players out the door. Durant is such a finicky player to make work, even though play-style-wise he's a plug and play, he wants to always be competing even though he's the type of player that is better at selling seats. He's always the 2nd-3rd highest paid player and that makes filing out a roster extremely difficult. It honestly sucks because the version of the Suns where Ayton was on the team with Durant worked the best on paper, but Ayton doesn't want to play basketball anymore so that is what it is. Beal was a horrible trade but I guess you're locked in too. I think you probably just run it back and try to coach these guys differently. Not sure what else to say.

We won 49 games and the "big 3" didnt play 40 games together. Yeah we got crushed in the 1st round this year but if we can have those guys play at least 47-53 games together we'll be alright. plus we got a lil bit more depth (monte morris, mason plumlee) plus a couple great picks in the draft (Oso Ighadaro and Ryann Dunn) both fill needs we desperately need. Suns are fine. They upgraded to an offensive minded coach, added to their depth and got some young pieces. Also now have some tradeable pieces. Suns were only 4 more wins away from the #1 seed while dealing with injuries all season long. With everyone back and a healthy season, Suns will easily be a top 3-4 team in the West.
Not all the top Western teams are getting better. I think Denver definitely got worse and I have no understanding of their management when they're so close to being a team who could win the whole thing. I did like the draft pick of Holmes but now that's not going to happen next season so who's the backup center. I think KCP has always been a little overrated but he's definitely a better player than Christian Braun. I think Denver could be one of the top four teams from the playoff standings last year in the west to end up in the bottom four teams who are in the Western conference playoffs. Why would the management of a team that was so close to winning the title allow one of their starters to walk over a couple million bucks? Then why would that team be completely inactive during the free agent period? I understand we're about to get Russell Westbrook and that isn't a happy thought in my head. Part of it has something to do with their cap room. With the Nuggets pretty top heavy with their key players and with Murray due for a new contract, the Nuggets need to make some decisions about the need to cut weight. They also need to add a couple of more guys who can be reliable on the vets minimum.

They spent way too much on Harden to keep him happy but at the end of the day they got a few picks and players out the door. Durant is such a finicky player to make work, even though play-style-wise he's a plug and play, he wants to always be competing even though he's the type of player that is better at selling seats. He's always the 2nd-3rd highest paid player and that makes filing out a roster extremely difficult. It honestly sucks because the version of the Suns where Ayton was on the team with Durant worked the best on paper, but Ayton doesn't want to play basketball anymore so that is what it is. Beal was a horrible trade but I guess you're locked in too. I think you probably just run it back and try to coach these guys differently. Not sure what else to say.

Ishbia must find a legal way to sue Bradley Beal for the absolute abomination of the travesty of a player that he is compare to his contract. Suns have no chance to even make the second round as long as he is there.
I think Durant gets traded after this year if they don't compete. Booker has stated multiple times he wants to be a Sun for life. Hopefully Beal returns to form or else that trade for him was the death blow to the championship push.

Suns need to blow it up and trade Booker, KD, and Beal. the reason they were good back in 2021 and 2022 was because of their depth which they gutted for Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. The Suns ceiling rn is the 5-6 seed due to lack of depth. Phoenix also has no future bc they traded all of their draft capital for KD and Beal. The writing is on the wall and the Suns need to blow it up get draft picks.
The GM who traded for Beal should be fired.. Even casuals knew that was a bad trade. I know the GM had to do something but they over paid... Like 3 picks overpaid.. Second rounds picks IMO can be valuable if you have a good development management team.

I'm kind of surprised that Phoenix held on to Grayson Allen because I think he would have been a pretty good trade piece. Maybe they just have to have him to provide outside shooting but a team that's actually contending for a title and need spacing would be pretty smart to pick up Grayson Allen. The dude shot nearly 50% from three this year on a lot of attempts. I think he's a 50/40/90 guy. He's actually a really good NBA player now I'm pretty sure he's a cone on defense.😊

We won 49 games and the "big 3" didnt play 40 games together. Yeah we got crushed in the 1st round this year but if we can have those guys play at least 47-53 games together we'll be alright. plus we got a lil bit more depth (monte morris, mason plumlee) plus a couple great picks in the draft (Oso Ighadaro and Ryann Dunn) both fill needs we desperately need. Suns are fine. They upgraded to an offensive minded coach, added to their depth and got some young pieces. Also now have some tradeable pieces. Suns were only 4 more wins away from the #1 seed while dealing with injuries all season long. With everyone back and a healthy season, Suns will easily be a top 3-4 team in the West.

Not all the top Western teams are getting better. I think Denver definitely got worse and I have no understanding of their management when they're so close to being a team who could win the whole thing. I did like the draft pick of Holmes but now that's not going to happen next season so who's the backup center. I think KCP has always been a little overrated but he's definitely a better player than Christian Braun. I think Denver could be one of the top four teams from the playoff standings last year in the west to end up in the bottom four teams who are in the Western conference playoffs. Why would the management of a team that was so close to winning the title allow one of their starters to walk over a couple million bucks? Then why would that team be completely inactive during the free agent period? I understand we're about to get Russell Westbrook and that isn't a happy thought in my head. Denver needs new management or a new owner because you have to spend money if you're going to try to keep up with teams like Minnesota and OKC. Not to mention keeping up with Boston and the Knicks. Part of it has something to do with their cap room. With the Nuggets pretty top heavy with their key players and with Murray due for a new contract, the Nuggets need to make some decisions about the need to cut weight.
