I didn't know that there was a word for that, but coddiwomple will be my new favorite word. lol Why do we always seem to finish cooking after dark? Doesn't matter what we plan, that's how it turns out. Love your oxtail stew. Oxtail used to be cheap, until someone decided that it could be a good thing. It is a good thing, but I wish it was still cheap. Good eating. The Polar Bear swimmers have nothing on you. lol A measly eight and a half! lol

If you dig a couple of inches into the dirt you will find that most such places have in fact been inhabited by people before. Sometimes they even stashed stuff in such places. Stones like this have usually been in the same spot since the polar ice cap receded around 8000 years ago. Any natural cover will probably have been used as shelter by travelers and herders in earlier times.
When hiking in mountains it is easy to avoid loose rocks by looking at the color of the rocks. If any rocks have moved in the last 100 years, you can see the difference in weathering and moss cover on the surface. Fresh rock slides are easy to see.

That wur reet grand, as you rough Northern folk would say. I'm liking the Leave no trace vibe you're pushing. 95% of TH-cam bushcraft channels fall into the 'see one-seen them all' catagory of boringness. Congrats on being head and shoulders above all the others and keeping your content so alive and entertaining. The biggest compliment is that so many other channels ape you. Right down to the beer reviews and woodland cooking although no one else appears to have your culinary talents.

Plus he’s proppa easy on the eye haha. Sorry just had to be said. The all round package this one. Keep up the good vids man. They always make me laugh

On the topic of hand warmers. They work well but I think you’d enjoy the refillable zippo style hand warmers more. I’ve tried both and the longevity of heat is about the same but zippo warmer keeps us from having so much trash. Big thanks for another great vid!

Top tip........Placing heat on the wrists will indeed heat the blood on the way through, and thus raise your core temperature as the veins are so close to the surface. Placing ice or some similar cold item / object on the wrists will have the reverse effect and help to combat overheating. I thank you!

This is the most beautiful bushcraft video I’ve ever seen. Started out watching TA Outdoors quite by accident and found your channel. Your video presentation and personality are wonderful but that food!!! Amazing cooking skills and flavors!! I never understood why some of the campers just threw on a steak and cut up some potatoes. This meal really seemed to elevate the experience. Thank you for sharing, now off to purchase a patch and sticker!
