    I was just shocked.
    I ordered an XPENG G6 Performance and consumption of 23.x kWh would be very bad.
    Luckily it's just a software error or display error.

    I haven't noticed the slowdowns at turns when I did 125km/h auto drives in China.
    If I had to guess, it could be because of the differences in road design specifications of the two countries.
    The speed limit of 2 lane highways in China are usually 100km/h, 120km/h are for 3 lane+ highways.
    So the minimum turning radius of these roads might also be different.
    I assume the car's software is tuned for Chinese roads.
    They really need a software localization team.

    @FB-uk9vt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    the stuff you mention on "autopilot" , it applies to tesla as well. Ridiculously dangerous. It works on vision, but it actually doesn't work quite well on 80kmh roads. It doesn't take smooth corners, it's weavering left and right. It doesn't read signs well, so one time the tesla says it's 100kmh on the highway and then out of nothing, it starts to brake and drives 90kmh , wtf !! where did you see a sign ???
    All these stupid car manufacturers claim their autopilot is safer than human, are you serious ? I mean i will beat AI 100 out 100 times. It's programmed to use radar and vision, but it has no emotion it has no understanding how people can react if you drive on the roads. if you drive fast on the autobahn it has no idea. I can see kilometers in front of me, if the weather conditions are good. This crap of a tesla only sees one part , and reacts on what happens around it, it has no idea what is happening 500m+ in front of it. So if people on the road are arguing or some other shit is happening tesla and all these other stupid cars cannot interpret that, they have NO IDEA.
    emergency braking is f*** dangerous and doesn't work as it should supposed to.
    emergency lane departure on the tesla is super dangerous if you drive roads where there is no stripes or whatever. It has no idea it cannot correct towards the middle if i went to the sides because of a car coming my way. so basically what it does , it steers towards the car (i'm not talking autopilot here, doesn't work on these roads). super dangerous and if nothing paying attention i would crash into the other car.
    if i could turn all that shit of permanently i would, but every time you turn on the car, it's activated by default. Super super annoying.
    So yeah we can see from this review the xpeng isn't all that when it comes to autopilot features, but trust me coming from a driver who has a model 3 last 3 years and the mileage is already 140.000km I know what i'm experiencing daily.

    Oh I think Elon has known for a long time what was coming. He is on record as saying something like "Tesla will come to naught unless it can make FSD real". He has known all along that others would eventually catch up and maybe surpass Tesla in car building. It is in robo-taxi and other AI that he is betting the company to win on long term.
    Midterm Tesla's energy business will keep it afloat as EV sales shift to Chinese companies.
    If I had to guess I would bet money that once Tesla completely solves FSD that they will contract with Chinese automakers to design and build the robo-taxis themselves for China and the far East. Tesla would then use those cars in robo-taxi fleets in those areas.

    • @celeron55
      @celeron55 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Chinese aren't better than Tesla, but they are willing to make cheaper cars with smaller margins. No point for Tesla to go to that market, at least without bundling with FSD to bring back the margins. It's common sense, really, but Musk is good at coming up with common sense years and years before others.

    Considering all the flaws of this car, unless its cost is about half of the Tesla Model Y cost, I do not think that Tesla needs to be worried about this particular competition. Yes, you might argue that these issues are minor. And perhaps they are. But to many people they matter. A lot.
    If the Pareto principle is applied here, getting a product 80 % done only takes 20 % of time. Getting the last 20 % done is the hard part because, according to that principle, it takes 4 times as long. Making fast and well-designed software is very difficult. There is no magic shortcut to take which would speed things up. It is primarily about an enduring effort to iterate over ideas, evaluate the feedback and efficiently implement the improvements. Tools like Chat GPT would not be very useful in that regard.

I hope I'm proven wrong of course! Also I have no idea what the Xpeng app's like, but I know for a fact that the Tesla app works better than most others and if you get stuck with a buggy app where you can't schedule preconditioning for example, that ruins the car for me.
