The 1 piece lugnuts are far superior to the 2 piece units the factories install on the rims. If you complain to the dealership about them, they will replace them, at your expense, and they will put the exact same 2 piece lugnuts they just took off. Which ends up being the exact same issue again in a few years.
These 1 piece units are almost perfect. Short of a broken stud, they should last for years and give good performance.
The drain plugs should be replaced every now and then too. They can be purchased at any auto parts store. Over time, the hex heads can round off making them also difficult to remove, even to the point of having to use a removal tool to get the bad one off. They are intended to be replaced occasionally, just like lugnuts.
If your vehicle is over 10 years old, consider getting these items replaced at your next oil change and tire rotate services. Also, if your mechanic advises you these need replacing, then replace them!!! Odds are, the shop you choose to do the service won't even charge you to replace them if you provide new drain plugs or lugnuts, since they are already having to remove those items to perform the services.

The best socket to use to keep from damaging your lugs is the Koken Surface Drive socket. The grip the surface and not the corners of the Lug nuts.

I have been wanting a set of long handled flex head ratcheting box end wrenches. This is a great deal.

Yeah, the Icon set skips the 9 & 11 wrench. No great loss, can't remember ever using either of them. Also, the OMT has a 1yr warranty. The Icons are so expensive because they are lifetime--no questions asked replacement. I also was able to snag the set on their 40% off Christmas deal (so $135)!

My 2012 Ram 1500 two wheel drive has the same style of lug nuts, which is definitely a pain in the rear. I priced some like the ones that you got at Auto Zone, was gonna cost $20.00 per wheel, I passed on them, not in my budget.

Same here. That's why when I saw these I jumped on them. If you haven't got yours replaced yet you can surely afford $17 for all four wheels.

This set is for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge products. OMT Also carries sets for Ford and GM. Just look up the size and thread that you need and you can find it on their Amazon page for about the same price. I looked through a bunch of sizes before I came across this set.
