- In this podcast, Kushal speaks with veteran Canadian journalist Tahir Gora about the recent violent protests that erupted in the POK. What could be the possible consequences of this for both India and Pakistan? Many leaders of the BJP have spoken about pushing Pakistan out of POK in a bid to reunite it with India. Can it be done? If attempted, would India and Pakistan have a full-blown war?

You should also sometime invite Amjad Ayub Mirza. He is from POJK, now residing in Europe and has been campaigning against Pakistan’s brutalities in PoJK. He has a lot of on ground connections also and does not merely speak on basis of social media as far as PoJK is concerned. His voice needs to be amplified.
No he has off late started leaning back to the narrative that ISPR is, so there is more than the eye meets.

I am a resident of Azad Kashmir which India chooses to call POK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) . This discussion between these gentlemen is nothing more than propaganda and fake news . It is their wishful thinking and a desire for their narrative to talk hold . They are blowing the tiny issue of increase in electricity rates in all of Pakistan as well as in Kashmir. We the people objected to this increase in tariffs and held a peaceful protest. Some elements of the law enforcement (police) tried to prevent this march in district (Dadyal) according to some people leading the protest which resulted in a policeman losing his life . This incident cooled the temperature on both sides and the government of Azad Kashmir agreed to all the demands of the people. This was show of unity and people power to use democratic means to seek redress to their grievances and won. These grievances exist in all places but they don’t succeed in achieving their objectives. For example in UK , energy bills have gone through the roof since the Russian invasion but people didn’t manage to get any major relief like the people of Azad Kashmir!! Putting spin on this news and creating a certain narrative is pure propaganda.
I am from Baramulla, JK. Okay, then best of luck living your free life. Indian population don’t want a war for the land. We don’t want deaths of innocents. We here will work together for our growth and wish you for your own growth. If your or your next generations feel that India is our country and we want to to contribute and grow that owned country then you all are most welcome to fully integrate and assimilate in India.
I can understand with the patriotic feeling about Pakistan, you might want to be with Pakistan, and we wish you all the best with growing your country.
Just one last thing, if 10-20 or 50 years from now if majority of your area’s people would want to join India’s kashmir, then don’t do genocide of them like pakistan government did to east Pakistan and killed 3000000 of Bangladeshis and raped fellow countrywomen. How about India offering to invest $10B in two years to build infrastructure in PoKGB with NO STRINGS attached. Only expectation is that the people of PoKGB facilitate the process.

1. It will create an irreversible process of integration unsuspectingly
2. The Pak establishment and politics will not be able to digest the approach. It will throw off their strategy, and Pakistan disintegration into 4 mulks will accelerate. May even civilize them in the process
3. Could be the cheapest approach to gaining PoKGB without casting a bullet. Indian defense budget today is ~ 80B$. If the western front is disabled, think about what you can do with that money going forward.

@@sccyt There's a lot of maybe in your comment which may or may not fructify or even identify to the ground reality, I just wish you had taken into the fact the demographic of that area has been irreversibly changed, it is increasingly difficult to identify who is a local and who is a plant, it will benefit the Rogue state more than us and let's not even get into the believer and disbeliever mindset, it's hard enough to combat it internally right now, remember you are fighting a ideology which thinks it's their moral duty for you and I as a disbeliever not to exist.
Gentlemen, why don’t you suggest Pakistan authorities to approach India Government and put up a request to pay a part of development charges of POK and Pakistan would handover POK to India. Further India should immediately continue to have trade with Pakistan.
We only need Gilgit, the rest will come in due course, moreover we should not pay for what is ours mate.
