Absolutely correct. Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo are designed for Kendo people to help Kendoka to understand the reality of actual combat and the use of a real bald. They are the same art categorised under All Japan Kendo Federation. Koryu is Koryu, but seitei iaido and Jodo are a part of kendo. I will borrow this video to teach.
Very interesting, thank you. I have some experience in Aikido and looking to start Kendo eventually. I would like to know more about Iaido and especially the martial of Samurai in general, especially once they lost their weapons in a fight.
Can you please give information about the Bokuto that are showing here? (Maybe even share a link?) Is it the standard form or a specialised Ryu Bokuto?
Thank you for your comment, yisrael Aker!😀 Hope you liked the video. I got mine from Tozando (Kyoto, Japan). They do international shipping. I have tons of videos here but also have more info at kendo-guide.com. Hope you get a lot of info you need! 😀👍 PS...Please subscribe to my channel if you haven't! Thanks for your support! 🙏
Good video sensei. Koryu iaido such as shinden ryu, jikiden ect which are practiced under the ajkf, do carry on the traditional samurai arts passed on by lineage. This is the only aspect of the samurai which continue exist. As modern kendo has become a sport. And classical kenjutsu from the times of the bakamatsu period, are hard to come by outside japan.
For how long has Iaido been dead so far? I mean, the waza are set in stone, the schools are disappearing, AJKF has but killed the art it seems, so it's either Seitei, Eishin, Hollywood or Extreme Weapons... the art of Iaido is like a dead branch with bugs agitated inside it, but no more growth... frankly sad, just like what is happening to Japan nowadays.
@@Theorof well, in my humble opinion, a tradition that doesn't renew itself is as good as dead. Why has it been so long since something new happened to Iaido? This is a genuine question. No trolling intended. Tough questions need tough answers from people with guts, not from people dismissing others like you just so courageously did. Imagine just saying what you just said to a child... I guess Iaido is comparable to classical music in a way, the world of interprets. But what could artists be looking for in Iaido?
@@KenLives333Nothing happend to Iaido because new things hapend to martial arts with practical goal. Iaido is not for killing or for fighting or for self defence. Iaijutsu is. Iaido is for practicing Iaido. Changes are not neded.
Excellent video sensei!
My iaido sensei told me that kendo and iado are 2 side of 1 coin. It looks like a good definition. 😁
Thank you so very much for this, Sensei! Have an excellent Sunday!

Thanks for your comment, @k_alex! 😄You should look into ko-ryu (古流). But make sure they are legit!

You should probably try your trolling elsewhere, it's pretty obvious.
