my dina was the exact same 🤣 that and always playing in the bathtub lol. it’s interesting because dina and nina are literal polar opposites so while nina is on the grouchy side (4) dina is on the nice side (6). both were pretty hands-off parents though. it will never not amaze me how we’re all given the same sims at the start yet our games will always turn out differently!

Babies can role certain wants and fears. I had babies in fresh hoods that were scared of fish dying and relative's tombstones getting kicked. Good video by the way 😁

Zef Davenport this is baby girl’s villain origin story 🤣 along with all the babies being born with a personal vendetta against the burglar this experiment unintentionally became a goldmine for lore hahaha honestly the only reason i uploaded this despite the anticlimactic results was because i thought other people would find it entertaining watching me forget how to play this game/how to use boolprop. i had been hoping for weird things like babies missing features or even game crashes but alas, the golden rule of corruption is that it no longer exists the minute you start recording 💔 still... i’m just happy this video could make people laugh even if it didn’t really prove anything interesting lol
@@tanicsims2 Well, it kind of proved something interesting actually. You still messed with the code, specially with Baby Girl. That baby has no parents and no family, and since the game demands you get at least one adult in each family, I would like to see what kind of corruption that Baby Girl alone can create on the long run. Also, it's kind of normal that the corruption doesn't appear in the first generation. It usually appears as those babies grow up and have their own children, because the game starts losing values in variables, and at some point, one of those babies would have been born without DNA and/or several features.

🥺 i’ve been interested in sims 2 corruption for years but it took months to find the courage to start playing around with it!! luckily with hood corruption it’s limited to only one hood so reinstalling isn’t necessary ☺️ i just generated a new game folder separate from my normal one so there’s no risk of my actual hoods getting ruined. however since both these game folders share the same programme files (especially the objects.package files) i probably won’t ever do anything that will result in total game corruption *for the time being*. even with backups and setting the files to read-only i am way too nervous about that!! 😭 but who knows... i got over my fear of hood corruption recently so i could do these videos, so maybe one day i’ll venture into game corruption too? 👀 anyway i’m glad you’re enjoying my videos! thank you so much for both your lovely comments! ❤️

I think it would be interesting if you brought Bella back and then checked again if she had DNA on SimPE. Maybe they were given DNA the moment they were brought back or maybe it happened just later when you tried to breed them. I guess it wouldn't change anything really but I was curious to know lol

I'm interested in resurrecting Michael. He was one of my favorite sims in the first game. Right now Gypsy brought me the genie lamp and I can bring it back legally, without tricks or modifications. However, I am a little worried and I don't dare save the game with him back because I know that the character is not 100% complete and has that strange peculiarity of considering Dina as a family member at the same time that he can have romantic interactions with her. elle. Other than that, does nothing break if I bring it? I brought Bella back and I know nothing is wrong with her, but I'm not sure about Michael. I'm not interested in giving him children, I just want to marry him to Dina.
Great video! It definitely made me laugh! I have just one suggestion: I think you should have aged all the babies up to adults, to see what they would properly look like, since it is a bit hard to tell when they're children.

that’s exactly what i was thinking, especially when his dna did become accessible in simpe after being resurrected. since they are slightly different both appearance- and personality-wise i don’t know if resurrectable michael was cloned from hidden michael (it’s a possibility) but it definitely seems like they have the exact same dna data. i’ll need to do a more thorough investigation and compare their dna though!

Here’s a tip that’s easy to do but improves your audio: If you record your voice with audacity (which I would recommend) you can remove background hums like fans or lights. You can also adjust the volume in a way that removes peaks. If you want more in-depth explanation, let me know. I’d be happy to help!

I second audacity! Its a free program and pretty simple to use. I played around with making a couple of ASMR videos so making sure the audio was evenly balanced throughout was super important. It does the job well and is a great tool for someone new to YT since its free! I'm loving your videos so far! I love seeing people do whacky things with Sims 2's brokenness. I dont know why I find it so fascinating to watch people experiment with it, lol. Looking forward to your next video, and whatever comes next!

alright but you seem like the funniest person to play my favorite sims game with lmao i was cracking up the whole time. also can I just say that I've played ts2 for a decade, on THREE different computers, i used mods and cc and every possible cheat in the game, did everything i could possibly do and never ran into corruption....that's a flex lmfao
2:05 funnily enough this kinda reminded me of my very old pleasantview, where I resurrected them both quite a while after I started playing (I guess Dirk was close to elder, idk now) just to pair them with eachother, lmao. I managed to pair them but I didn't give them any kids cuz I lost my save for some other reason than corruption
I also noticed that two of the babies in your video followed another sim around, watching them whilst being held. Babies in The Sims 2 don’t usually do that. They never look or watch a nearby Sim in that way.
@@tanicsims2 I swear I’ve never seen a newborn Sim do it. Then again, maybe it’s normal behaviour, but I really don’t think it is. Never seen toddlers do it either. Kids and older I have seen.
I know this is a 3 year later comment but the reason for the red hair randomly showing up is bc Michael's hair DNA is 5 (= gray hair) which can't be inherited. In order to prevent crashes the game can behave in two ways: 1. Remote's case: it shows the last one available (4 = red hair) bc no other one is present in her DNA; 2. Destitute's case: it shows the recessive one (1 = black hair, inherited from Darleene) bc is the only valid one in his DNA.
I do not think the experiments were useless, but one tip for future reference, deceased sims offspring tend tend to change appearances most definitively in the YA/A/E stages, ergo aging further could reveal a few more interesting quirks. Also, breeding offspring might be interesting as well. Also, were you using a clean template? This might explain the DNA fixes (possibly), or if you used the Ultimate Collection, instead of just the base game and University (needed for unmodded resurrection), that might explain why DNA was assigned.
I think Remote’s red hair might be a one parent thing? Maybe that made the game freak out. This is just a theory from my limited knowledge, though? Just that Ideal Plant Sim exists.
Do you think the reason the skill is there in the baby is because it’s a clone ?? But then I don’t get why aging it up would remove it?? Love this video btw
honestly i have absolutely no idea what happened there, but i reckon the answer’s not as exciting as your theory lol. i know that baby knut futa ‘picks up’ the skills from other people in the household if you click on one of them and then back on him, but he may not be the most reliable example to use here considering how borked his job data (and literally everything else about his character data) is. i can’t remember if... deleted email? (were they the art prodigy/clone?) picked up darren or dirk’s skills if i selected them before selecting the baby though. if they did then that probably explains what happened there. either way it was very odd lol thank you so much! ❤️

thank you so much! i’ve been into sims 2 corruption for a few years now but never wanted to go anywhere near it for myself lol. until suddenly it became really popular and i was like, ‘wait... other people think this niche sub-interest of the sims 2 is cool too? i’m not alone?’ never thought it would happen. i think calipers, moni, and marticore deserve a lot of the credit; they’re massive inspirations for my channel. i try my best to not step on their toes so i cover things they haven’t, and things that interest me the most (and feel like never get any recognition lol). it’s crazy; this game is 17 years old this year and a lot of the corruption, while it is well-documented at this point, doesn’t have a lot of... video evidence? i guess? it’s awesome how everyone’s just like, ‘okay, let’s change that!’ never thought i’d join in since i’m the world’s most careful player ever, but here we are

I also noticed that two of the babies in your video followed another sim around, watching them whilst being held. Babies in The Sims 2 don’t usually do that. They never look or watch a nearby Sim in that way.

@@tanicsims2 I swear I’ve never seen a newborn Sim do it. Then again, maybe it’s normal behaviour, but I really don’t think it is. Never seen toddlers do it either. Kids and older I have seen.

I know this is a 3 year later comment but the reason for the red hair randomly showing up is bc Michael's hair DNA is 5 (= gray hair) which can't be inherited. In order to prevent crashes the game can behave in two ways:
1. Remote's case: it shows the last one available (4 = red hair) bc no other one is present in her DNA;
2. Destitute's case: it shows the recessive one (1 = black hair, inherited from Darleene) bc is the only valid one in his DNA.

I do not think the experiments were useless, but one tip for future reference, deceased sims offspring tend tend to change appearances most definitively in the YA/A/E stages, ergo aging further could reveal a few more interesting quirks. Also, breeding offspring might be interesting as well.
Also, were you using a clean template? This might explain the DNA fixes (possibly), or if you used the Ultimate Collection, instead of just the base game and University (needed for unmodded resurrection), that might explain why DNA was assigned.

honestly i have absolutely no idea what happened there, but i reckon the answer’s not as exciting as your theory lol. i know that baby knut futa ‘picks up’ the skills from other people in the household if you click on one of them and then back on him, but he may not be the most reliable example to use here considering how borked his job data (and literally everything else about his character data) is. i can’t remember if... deleted email? (were they the art prodigy/clone?) picked up darren or dirk’s skills if i selected them before selecting the baby though. if they did then that probably explains what happened there. either way it was very odd lol
