Amazing Grace happened on this Rocky Mountain Way ... J Walsh, you always shine like a diamond! Levon Helm, though ... InMemory Sir ~ You are a Legend !!!!!!!
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
Joe Walsh is one of the all-time greats & grossly overlooked in my opinion. Great man who treats everyone around him with the same respect & kindness. He used to go to Caribou Ranch to record & while there was known to come into our local bar & jam with whatever band was playing. Certainly a rush to those musicians I'll tell you that! Even came dressed up on Halloween, many didn't even know it was him until later on. A good man & a kick ass guitar player!!
don't forget Dr. John, Levon Helm and Jim Keltner I saw this show in Toronto, it was one of my Favorites. the first and best Ringo All Star Band. Joe Walsh is the best.

Just found this -----it UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING-FOR ALL THE REASONS EVERYBODY ALREADY MENTIONED-can't believe it took me this long to stumble upon it-SO GRATEFUL I DID!!!!!!!!!
I don't know. He's one of those guys who looks messed up when he isn't messed up. He's playing well here, so can't be that bad. A lot of guys used to feign being fucked up while playing, but you can tell the ones who really are annihilated by the mistakes they make. Maybe he had a couple drinks or smoked a joint, but definitely not wasted. I always said the best way to get your band to not get totally blasted is to play them a recording of them playing when they're totally blasted.
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
This is definately in my favorites now. My face won't quit grinnin and my heart is full of joy! Thanks! I hope I get to go to the part of heaven where alot of these guys are jammin now!
My friend and I went to Bethel Woods for the Woodstock Anniversary celebration several years ago. Levon and his band didn't play til 2 AM. So glad I got to see him live.
I remember when this cut came out by Joe Walsh before he was an Eagle and my friend and I played this until there was no more grooves in the albumn! The best of an era! 🌹
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!
Saw this line up 1989 GREAT WOODS MANSFIELD MASS. What a show ,the guys from the BAND, Levon, Rick, sounded great ! Billy Preston fantastic, one of the best rock shows of all time. Only a Beatle, could put together a band like that, What respect these musicians have for Ringo!
I saw this tour that summer at the Garden State Arts Center in New Jersey...I was 17 years old, unbelievable, blew my mind. Even though I was completely blown away, I wish I had the full realization of what I was witnessing. Maybe the most incredible lineup to ever fit on one stage playing together. At the Jersey show, Max Weinberg came out...then Bruce Springsteen showed up near the end, led the band through Dizzy Miss Lizzy, then Get Back, and stayed up to play guitar for the rest of the show!
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day
Well, mine certainly did. Born in '82 and '90 they heard nothing but '60s, '70s, and blues if they were around me. They both chose to listen to this type of music as well as 70's and newer country. Glad to help the next generation as much as possible.

Joe Walsh one of the most underrated guitarist ever. First heard Joe back in the mid 70’s a friend had a bootleg tape of the James Gang live. Thx Ron for turning me on to Joe. Joe on slide guitar and the mouth piece back when few played one let alone both ! Thank you Ringo for taking Joe out on the road. The All-Stars always true to the title. Someday Joe’s day will come with the Accolades!!

Walsh played Amazing Grace at Albert King's funeral. I rode with him while he learned it in the back of the car. He did an amazing spiritual version for Albert.
This is such an awesome song that tells a story just like a Bob Seeger or Dylan would . Saw these guys live and an awesome show . Don’t miss them if they’re in your neighborhood .

warmlandlass1 Yep, this was when Ringo sobered up. He said to himself, I'm a musician. So he got a great band and went on tour with them. This was the first group of his 'All Stars.' Dr. John, and I forget who else was in there. Nils, obviously. Each 'Star' did, say, two of their own solo songs, and they did all of the songs Ringo wanted to do. 'What's my name?!?' Ringo would ask, and hold his ring-laden fingers out to the audience. A good good time.
I Damn it am I the only person that Did Not Know the Greatness of Levon Helm !!😵 Never knew he was such an Icon in Rock music which I thought I had some knowledge of !! Always liked his acting chops especially in the small cameo in Shooter my favorite part of the movie !!! Levon Helm Thank's Ever So Much for your Talent and it shows in this video !! Just found about your status a few minutes ago looking at the cast for "In the Electric Mist " they have a picture of Mr Helm so I went Wiki and got my mind Blown !!!
V L, if you did not know Levon, look up anything with "The Band," anything with Levon Helm and the RCO All-Stars, anything with "The Midnight Ramble." You will never know great he was, and how many musical lives he touched. "The Last Waltz" is possibly the best Rock and Roll movie of all time and "Levon Helm Ramble at the Ryman" is a classic also. Enjoy!

The collective talent on that stage...... amazing. RIP to Clarence, Levon, Rick and Billy....

Ringo's All Stars was the greatest gift to LIVE rock&roll !
Todd Rundgren was in too for awhile.
Joe Walsh is ROCK AND ROLL!!! GREAT SONG!!! Nils,Rick Danko,Billy Preston. so much rock and roll on that stage
don't forget Dr. John, Levon Helm and Jim Keltner I saw this show in Toronto, it was one of my Favorites. the first and best Ringo All Star Band. Joe Walsh is the best.

The warm up with Amazing Grace. Levon AND Ringo on drums. What a great show of talent! Thank you for posting this.
Joe got well and his life and gift improved immeasurably. What a line up here. Blew my mind. Joe is a force of nature!
I've been a Joe Walsh fan since the first time I heard him play and this video just demonstrates that Joe doesn't just play music he is music.
Exactly !
I am the liquor
I saw Joe in 2015 , great show
and commentary.
They used to throw panties

The smoker you drink, the player you get - straight out of a Joe Walsh playbook!

Ringo Drums, Levon Drums, Rick Danko Bass, The big "C" on the Sax! Joe playing lead and looking just about ready for rehab
Theyrun Levon is playing harmonica on this one and Ringo and Jim Keltner are on the drums.
+pac401 Levon's playing drums too using his feet, I've seen him do it all the time kick drum and hi hat..
You might be right, but boy does he sound amazing, they all do, obviously.
Nils Lofgren also in guitar! by Tinja

Gary R. Triplett has
Compare this lineup to the same s*** lineup Ringo has been using for the past 10 years. Sad.
Saw Ringo and the allstars a couple years ago. Most of the band is in their 70s. Just sayin..,
Clarence Clemons from the E Street band RIP , and Joe Walsh. Levon Helm from the Band RIP. Dang i love ROCK N ROLL ! Thanks !
The best version of this I have ever heard. Not too much of a surprise, considering all of the talent on that stage.
He hadn't hit bottom l yet.

Ringo is great, but Levon Helm far outshines him in terms of talent
What a line up! Wish i was there! Thanks for sharing.
Loved it then and still do, now. Thanks.

Yes that would be just freaking impossible
How did these people ever be brought together !Amazing talent and the history behind each one of them!
When Ringo calls, they answer.
Those futher muckers just rock. Saw the Frampton, Jack Bruce version in the late 90's.
Anyone who doubts Ringo as a drummer needs to check out the early live Beatles videos. Sure, he's no John Bonham but who cares. He knows how to rock!
Yes! Ringo is a Creative drummer who enhances each song individually, seeking only to be part of the song and not being the Starr that he really Arre!
Ringo was one of the very best "in the pocket groove" drummers that ever played! always in the groove and on time exact!
Dr John on the left. Saw the opening show in this tour, outdoors at Park Ce trail in Dallas. A great, great show, far more than I expected.
Levon Helm playing killer harp!
Nils Lofgren 2nd guitar, and Billy Preston on keys. Some other great vids from this concert posted, search Walsh and Helm together... Great stuff!
Levon AT the drums, but blowing harp. Joe Walsh knocks my socks off.
Love the boots, Joe
I believe that is Rick Danko on base and Nils Lofgren with the head band.
That sure is Nils!
Good eye. I had to go back and check. I was so enthralled with the performance.
Definitely was Rick Danko,
Chuck Hodgskin SO glad to see Rick in this clip~!
I'm wonder if this well before everyone sobered up?
Joe Walsh. Unbelievable player and here so young....I wish Ringo was by himself. I really wanted to hear his groove!
Joe Walsh is a freaking genius!
Did I just hear Joe start RMW by playing Amazing Grace?
Yes that is exactly what I thought
Yep!
You did
Joe's style is soaring. I always thought "Walk Away" was cut way too short.
GRATEFUL !!!
these cats having the time of there life -living the dream

I think maybe that's Jim Keltner as the third drummer....
i liked your comment, but hell, you were even old when Joe Did tthis back then, but you keep on rocking, I 'm 56 and right behind ya.
Levon on the harp! All right
4brens AND kick and hi-hat....loved that man...if his hands were busy, you can betcha ass his feet are too!
I was wondering... saw three kits, but NO LEVON!! then I figured it out... only VERY brief shot of the harp player anyhow...
About as professional as you can get!!
Billy Preston on Keyboards
+jayzeeyankee Thank you, I couldn't think of his name but I knew I knew him!
my man!
I THOUGHT that was him!
Dr John too!
This just made my day 100 times better clearance Ringo and Kevin could get the job done by themselves
