  • Peter in his 718 GT4 and Lucas in our company A110S did a nice lap around the famous Nordschleife.
    The GT4 was 100 % original an Michelin tires.
    The Alpine A110S was umpgrades by @Manthey Racing
    - KW supension
    - Dunlop direzza
    - Endless brakepads
    - the engine is 100% stock.

    The Alpine received a lot of praise as a focused driver's car, but many people underestimate how fast an a110 (even in non S trim) is on track. It's a weapon!

    i own a A110S CE and got the chance to drive a 718 GT4 yesterday - to be ownest in my oppinion the alpine is better car in most things. steering, weight, breaking fast changes of direction.
    for me the porsche looks like a racecar and i sm shure it is but most of us arent able to ride the car on the edge. the sound an race car look is awesome - i got goose bumps the hole ride.
    both are spectacular cars but i like the concept of the alpine more. it looks understate and vintage (in a modern way) but its a fuckin french killer!!!

      I've only driven the A110 back to back with a Cayman -- and I completely agree with you Philipp . I also agree about the Pure (base) version - it's a better drivers proposition - the only reason to buy the S - so you can get bragging right at the car club bar...........

    What count in a real sport car is not the sbsolute power, this is the ratio weight power all in a light weight.
    For example 1000kg for 252hp will be much more performant in a road race than the same ratio: 1500 kg for 378 hp. And for that, no other car can meet the Alpine achievement in this market.
    Finally at a period when everyone is worried about C02 emissions , the consumption of an Alpine can be as low as 6l per 100 km in a normal long ride (I have experienced 6,1 l/100km on a ride of 800 km).
    Just give me another sport car with the same qualities and so low fuel consumption.

    It's amazing how fast A110S is on track and how much faster GT3 RS is 2:00
    and still A110S only half price of GT4

      Where did you get this lap time from, was that BTG? The only official lap time I can find is for the less powerful non-S model and that was 8.03 for the whole circuit, be interested to know of an official time for the S

    Well... the GT4 is in a different league and still catches up only on straights due to a massive horsepower advantage, pitting it against a base Cayman which costs more or less the same would be borderline unfair 😀

      The gt4 costs around 104k euro the a110s "only 74ish" this is where we have to remind ourselves that this car was preped by a porsche tuning specialist - who mainly tunes for the Nürburgring. so i would add around 8 to 10k for the balancing + parts + installation. This puts us at 103 to 84 assuming the a110 is a base model. now there are 2 cars with 4.2kg/1hp(a110) and 3.42kg/1hp(gt4), 1 with a street suspension setup and one with a track suspension setup. this makes it that there is significantly lower weight and body roll in the Alpine, so it can corner harder than the gt4. this is visible beautifully during the sequence after 4:04 in which the a110 can speed up earlier and loses less speed overall. during the straight the gt4 catches up again. So basically this is comparing a modded car against a stock one, and that makes it even in this scenario. But watching a base Cayman against a base a110 would still be really interesting.

    Be si certo se quello che c'è sul Cayman cambia le marce a. 6000 giri e fa certe sezioni di curve a 20/30km in meno. Tutto è possibile 😂😂😂siamo seri il gt4 al ring gira in 7:28 ....👍

    Ouais.... encore une fois comparé une voiture boite auto vs manu et préparé vs stock n'a vraiment aucun sans.Rien que sur un 0/100 boite manu vs pdk c'est une demi seconde, si on ajoute une suspension et les réglages Manthay ...bref

      @@jeffkodiac Une Alpine stock sur le ring vs gt4 ( manu) avec le même pilote c’est 25s de diff , tu colle un réglage Manthey et la pdk sur le gt4 et tu refait le même test pour être juste, ça ne va plus être la même chanson, c’est vidéo 😂 ça dépend tellement du gars derrière le volant......

    Guignol dans la gt4 qui fait exprès de pas doubler l alpine j y crois pas un seul instant que l alpine distance la gt4 en accélération surtout que y a jamais les 300 CV dans les Alpine mais plutôt 270cv

      La croyance n'a rien avoir là-dedans, les sciences oui (ration poids / puissance). Essayez une course entre un homme aux cuisses hyper musclées sur un vélo en acier, et un homme aux cuisses un peu moins musclées sur un vélo en aluminium, et vous verrez. Vous n'êtes pas quelqu'un de rationnel.
