Sagar, for a new chess player like me, your commentary has made all the difference in making me see a different side of chess and appreciating the game so much more. Kudos to you sir 👏
Stupid commentary, too much talking, do predictions on separate board, in chess there are many combinations but predicting only a few combinations doesn’t make sense.

Giga gave a strong fight and even the world champion felt it tough. Giga was giving pressure on the clock and on the board but magnus carlsen fought even tougher than Giga in the endgame. The endgame was fascinating and it was an extraordinary commentary by sagar. Thank you very much for giving a clear idea on this fantastic game.
Well executed of commenting everymove by these professionals it’s easy to understand what about to happen and what will happen. This commentator from India is amazing, please keep up the good work and stay sharp on every move. Love it!
Like many other comments have said before. The commentary is amazing. I guess for more experienced player this might be happening in their heads. But for a noob like me it makes me 'feel' the game more so than just watching it. Super entertaining!
What I noticed about Magnus that is unique to his endgame style. It's alot like Capablanca. He seems to give up some tactics for past pawns and he plays his endgame with trying to get as many pass pawns as he can. I studied Capablanca so my endgame style is to kill all the pawns and give no chances for a queen to appear.
the analysis, preparation, timing, energy and editing are what make this commentary amazing. You see it is not live commentary from the time gaps while he speaks continuously and builds tension by describing alternate and optimal lines from the pre-done analysis. A true professional that has set the bar as high as it can go for post game commentary. He has made a very significant contribution to the great game of chess. These videos should be shared and promoted as widely as possible. Respect. 🫡
Still new to chess. My question is. At 11:14 with rook on h2 bishop in f3. Why didn't Magnus move second bishop to h4? Cut off the king then on next turn put rook on h1. Unless I missed something it would have been checkmate.
@@Blessing912 nope I was simply curious. I figured there might be something I missed and was just making an observation and asking a question. I'm trying to learn. Not judge.
@@zeusanton4147i have been playing chess for 2 months...just a beginner. And I find no defence for the opponent in your scenario :) If you found any do let me know
I am also still new to chess but here is my take; Bh4, Bg1, Rh1 In this scenario Magnus has locked down both of his Bishops and his Rook leaving only his Pawns and his King free. Meanwhile Giga may have his Bishop and King locked down but he has a Rook, a Knight, and his Pawns still free. This gives Giga a very significant advantage. Magnus would eventually have to break his siege in order to defend.
First this would be not a check it would be mate on g7. Then black can easy block this with - i would say e5 - . And whites position looks not god. Black win the center and can block the movments of the white queen and the bishop with d4.
If someone has watched this game thoroughly, please tell me why didn’t giga advance his pawn to the other end to convert it into queen at 14:58. He moved his king to counterattack the bishop instead. That was a sheer blunder 😢
No, it wasn't a blunder. Both of Giga’s pawns are temporarily disadvantaged because their queening squares are easily defended by Magnus’ king and light-squared bishop. That gives Magnus a winning advantage since Giga does not have his own light-squared bishop and no way to control those squares. His knight cannot compete with the bishop pair, and his own dark-squared bishop is almost paralysed, blocking the pair of black pawns from advancing down the board. Give me a sample line from the White perspective and I will tell you how Black can defend against the pawn advance.
@@chinmayaprakash I completely understand that giga’s bishop is paralysed blocking the 2 Pawns from converting, my point is giga shouldn’t have traded his knight with Carlson’s bishop instead advanced the pawn although it was 2 squares away from carslen’s king and that would have surely diverted carlsen’s focus as he was running out of time. One shouldn’t offer a trade when the opponent is running out of time ⌛️
What I learnt there are not just one possibility in a game to win if you know what to do you could create another pathway to even it takes long time but you will win. Also loved your commentary brother❤
I wonder if the guy doing the commentating can play well against Magnus. He certainly does a great job of predicting and explaining the tbought process of the game
