I did one like that last week, but I cheated and got the values out of the arrl handbook. They have a chart. I did mine for 3.9mhz and the values were quite close to yours. I even had to bodge the middle capacitor out of a couple others like you did. Have a good trip.!
One question that often comes up, how to determine voltage rating of caps for a given power level. Work out p-p for power level and add a safety margin. Might be worth some commentary. Also, What's your Sig Gen Charlie?
Thanks for the clear/methodical outline of the design process of the filter(s). I really enjoyed it!
Glad it was helpful Jack.
hi Charlie, hope your cold gets better soon. All the best, Ian
Do you have a video on how to select the appropriate toroid core for frequency and power?
Thanks
Love the plugin method.great video

thanks seen all parts vedio series. you have good equipments. Have you tried parallel two irf840 final RF amplifier for say 80 meter /40 meter ???
No, but I have looked at parallel IRF510s and parallel BD139s. I'll take a look at the IRF840.

I finally got myself some mixers and also upgrade to general. :) I got 5 TUF-1SM for 1 USD each. Not as good as SBL-1 but they will work for me.
Excellent, well done. Now for some homebrewing!

Charlie, what kind of filters are those?
Hi Ed. I just know them as halfwave LPFs. Not sure if they have another name or not. They work for me.
Mr Morris....I'm making my QRPP transmitter QRP and needed to improve my filter....awesome video! Thanks for sharing. de VK2AOE
