    Nice job showing off the effect of components for filters! I really like the nanovna a wonderful tool for hams.

    Love hands on visualizations of how electronics works. So much better than just giving answers to questions that appear on a test. It might be interesting to do the calcs on what to expect first, and then show what the actual readings look like. Nicely done Sir! 73 - KF6IF

      I'm the same way; seeing it work is very cool. Thanks for checking it out Phil 👍

    Thanks for sharing ! I really dig the RF prototype board. What are your thoughts on that LCR meter ? It has a good price point. Has it been accurate ?

    • @TheSmokinApe
      @TheSmokinApe  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the LCR meter and will continue t use it, I have had positive results when measuring components of known values.

      @@TheSmokinApe Cool beans ! I have I have one of the extech ones and it is good but am always interested in something that will provide the same service for less. Thanks !

    ordered my test kit with the nanovna from R&L. If the board said amphenol on it, would be 10x or more money.

      Ain’t that the truth. It was a bit of a pita to build but it is pretty handy 👍

    You could also build such a filter test board yourself. Did you calibrate with the attached test cables?

    • @TheSmokinApe
      @TheSmokinApe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could have built the board myself but I didn’t and I can live with that. The calibration was done to the end of the coax with a female to female barrel connector. The isolation calibration was done with 50ohm loads on both ports.

      @@TheSmokinApe If I could buy the part around the corner, I would buy it too. Thank you for explaining the calibration procedure to me. Everything done right.

      @TheSmokinApe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@karlbesser1696 no worries about the calibration. I got the board as part of a larger order from Ali Express. It’s come in handy a few times 👍
